We came to New York City looking for incredible Filipino street food… but what we discovered at UBELAND x PALENGKE became about so much more than what was on the plate. 🇵🇭

As we made our way through this lively Filipino food fair in NYC, we met some of the incredible vendors behind the booths. They shared what they were serving, how their businesses got started, and the passion, hard work and personal stories behind the food.
From Filipino street food and savory favorites to ube creations, desserts and unexpected food discoveries, there was something exciting around almost every corner.

But what stayed with us most were the people.
Behind every booth was someone creating something they believed in. Some were carrying on family traditions. Others were building new businesses, experimenting with Filipino flavors, and sharing a piece of Filipino culture with New York City.

And all around us, people were eating, laughing, talking with vendors and simply enjoying a beautiful day together.
The weather couldn't have been better — about 72°F, cool and comfortable — and the atmosphere felt like one big celebration of Filipino food, entrepreneurship, culture and community.
