5 Jobs Begging for Workers Because Everyone Thinks AI Took Them

These are the five jobs that are begging for workers because everyone thinks that AI took them. And I promise at least one of them is going to be a good fit for you. Now, one pays up to $157,000 a year for a job that most people can't even name. Several will take you with no degree. And one of them is the career that the godfather of AI himself says is the smartest bet that you can make. Now, I'm the guy who went $300,000 in student loan debt for a doctorate before figuring out how careers actually work. Then I built the career channel that I wish had when I was trying to figure out what to do with my life. Most people hear AI took that job and walk away without checking. The checkers are finding empty lines, desperate employers, and pay that keeps climbing. All right. The first one is going to be an embryologist. And this might be the most important job that you've never heard a single person talk about. And it was supposed to be wiped out by AI. Now, an embryologist is a scientist or lab expert who helps people have babies using fertility treatments like IVF and they handle and care for human eggs, sperm, and embryos in a special lab. And their hands literally hold somebody's future kid in a Petri dish. Now you've seen the headlines. AI picks the embryos now, robot IVF labs, all of it. And the headlines aren't lying. MIT technology review reports that AI systems already rank embryos and an AI assisted robotic IVF system has at least 19 real babies born from it. So the job must be done for right? Wrong. The fertility industry's own trade press projects that it needs 43,000 more human embryologists and 4,000 new IVF labs by 2035 just to meet demand. The same reports say that the embryologist shortage is now as bad or worse than the shortage of fertility doctors and it's driving up salaries. And remember this line because it runs through the whole video. When everyone writes the job off, the job starts overpaying. And this is very similar to what's happened at let's just say every technological advancement in all of human history. So for instance, when farm equipment came out, it killed 40% of US jobs, but it freed up workers to have better jobs in factories, food processing, and equipment manufacturing. So way more jobs popped up. Then factories came out and they killed blacksmiths, weavers, and home craftsmen. Then telecommunication came out and it killed telegraph messengers and switchboard operators, but it created call centers, phone sales, customer service, and broadcasting. Then computers came out and it killed typing pools, manual bookkeepers, and human calculators, but it created programmers, IT departments, and data analysts. And then the internet came out. It killed most travel agents, video store clerks, and newspaper classifieds, but it created e-commerce, digital marketing, app developers, and an entire crater economy. And hey, AI came out and it's killing some jobs as well, or it's changing the nature of jobs, but even more jobs are popping up as a consequence of it. So a great example of that is when ATMs first came out. Everybody thought that bank tellers were all going to lose their jobs. And at first there weren't bank tellers that were laid off, but then banks just pivoted into giving better service to their customers instead of spending all of their time counting money, right? So it is the exact same thing happening here. And to me, this job is so fascinating because you're responsible for bringing a human into the world and people are obsessed with this kind of stuff. I mean, who wouldn't be, right? And that's why there's a 43 second clip called watching a get fertilized and it's gained 5.7 million views. And this was an artificial fertilization. And while I was looking into this job, I found another video from Ted Ed. That's an explainer video on how IVF works. And it got 3.4 million views. And according to view stats, that video alone made over $16,000. So millions of people are watching this job get done, but almost nobody doing the job is filming it. And that's why when Heather was hired as an embryologist, she filmed herself doing the job. And I hope you get the point here. You do the job and then you record yourself doing the job and you can get paid even extra for doing it. More on that later. But embryologists make about 96 to $157,000 a year guys. All right, let's move on to the second job in the list, which is a COBOL or mainframe developer. And yes, I'm telling you that a dead programming language from 1960s is a job in this video. Now COBOL developers maintain the decades old systems that still process the money. Banks, insurance companies, healthcare, government, the code that your paycheck probably runs through right now. And everyone assumed that AI killed this job twice. First, because the language is ancient. And second, because AI can translate old code. But here's what an AWS executive, aka the people building the AI translation tools told ITPro. AI can't and shouldn't replace COBOL experts because you need humans to validate the code and explain the business logic. And her exact problem is that COBOL expertise is declining and the AI company is publicly begging for humans. Everyone thought that the AI replaced and the desperation is visible, right? There's a tech recruiter named Chris and he's on YouTube right now, pitching a real remote mainframe role at $102 an hour. And so when you have a recruiter making content because he can't fill a seat, you know that they're down bad and they really need people who have this skillset. And ZipRecruiter shows over 64 open COBOL developer listings as I'm recording this video right now. And they pay really well. And as you probably know, if you follow the channel, what I advocate is that once you are hired in a job, film yourself doing the job or teach people how to do the job or teach people how to get into the job or teach people the tech that's involved in getting into the job or what certifications people have to take to get into it or the skills that they need to know to get into it, et cetera, et cetera. Basically the boring stuff because this stuff pays like crazy on YouTube. And that's why a creator named D made a video called the world depends on 60 year old code that no one knows anymore. And it got 1.1 million views because even programmers are just now discovering this hidden lane. And even the consulting giants are running AI powered COBOL modernization projects, which is exactly why the human experts get hired to check the machines COBOL developers in general make about $83,000 to $138,000 a year, and they are in massive demand. All right, next is going to be a data center electrician. And this one is ironic because people keep saying that AI is taking everybody's jobs. The AI cannot even turn itself on without an electrician, right? Every answer Chachapiti gives you comes from physical servers sitting inside enormous buildings. And those buildings need power systems, backup batteries, generators, control panels, and thousands of electrical connections. And every one of them still has to be installed and maintained and repaired by an actual human. And Wired told the whole story in one headline, why there aren't enough electricians and plumbers to build AI data centers. And CBS Evening News covered the same crisis, roughly 400,000 unfilled trade jobs in the United States with the data center boom stacking demand on top of them. And it's not only technicians, data centers need plumbers and pipe fitters to move cooling water, a trade that's already projected to be short 550,000 people. HVAC techs to keep the servers from overheating, welders for the steel, fiber technicians to connect everything, and generator techs to keep it alive when the grid blinks. And that's why the godfather of AI himself, Jeffrey Hinton, the same man who famously told the world to stop training radiologists, now said that his best career bet is word for word to be a plumber. And NVIDIA CEO Jensen Huang says that we're going to need hundreds of thousands of these trade workers because a single AI data center takes up to 1,500 to build, and a lot of them clear $100,000 with no degree. And Bloomberg's name for all of this? They're calling it a blue collar gold rush. Here's how desperate the employers actually got. Meta is putting 115 million into a free trades academy. You finish the training, you'll walk out with an industry credential, and you get paired with one of Meta's own contractors on a data center site, a guaranteed job funded by big tech. So while the tech companies cut office jobs, which for sure there are some jobs that are actually getting cut, they're spending millions recruiting the people who can physically build the AI economy. And Google is even producing behind the scenes recruiting films for its data center crews. And by the way, one little pro tip is whenever you see a company producing videos talking about specific careers, you know that they're down bad when it comes to that career. You know that they badly need people to work in those jobs. And this is where my brother Zach's story gets really interesting. Zach spent almost 30 years working in the trades, and he was doing the exact hands-on skills that these companies are now spending millions trying to find. But after decades in the trades, the work was taking a real toll on his body. And on a family vacation, he pulled me aside and he asked me straight up, how do I keep making money without breaking my body? And he expected me to probably tell him like an online job or some sort of certification, or maybe a cushy office job. But I just told him, just start YouTube, bro. And he gave me every excuse in the book. He said, oh, I'm too old. I'm in my 50s. No one wants to listen to a 50 year old. I'm not tech savvy. I've never recorded a video in my life. I don't know anything about social media, et cetera, et cetera. But I just told him, just trust me, follow the playbook, follow the system, and it's going to work for you. So instead of letting 30 years of experience disappear, he put it on YouTube and his channel, Zach of All Trades. He teaches people how these jobs actually work and what the different trades really pay and how to get in without wasting years on the wrong path. And he's even got a whole video breaking down whether you should become an electrician or not, just as an example. And here's the part that most trades people never even consider. Zach didn't just use his experience to work. He turned the experience into a second income. His first ever video that he posted took off, got over 822,000 views. And 29 days later, he made $214 in a single day from AdSense. That's about a $78,000 a year run rate. So we went from zero to a full-time income in less than a month. And just last month, he had his record month and it was over $18,000. Zach's story hands you two separate plays. You can walk into a trade that these employers are desperate for. Or once you have experience, you can teach what you know online and build a whole new income stream on top of it. Because it is very clear that the modern education system is not filling these jobs up fast enough, right? It is not properly training people for the jobs that actually have demand. They're too busy forcing people to get completely useless degrees that put them tens of thousands of dollars in student loan debt with absolutely nothing to show for it. Excuse my language. And by the way, it's not just Zach. There's tons of other people that I have helped in my community literally teach what they already know on YouTube. Whether it's career-related stuff, there's a lot of people like that. For instance, Nurse Jen, she went from zero to a full-time income in just a few months, quit her job. She's making over $10,000 a month now and traveling all over the United States in her van, living her dream life. And it's because she started sharing what she was already telling her patients on a day-to-day basis on YouTube. And she's actually 60 years old and she literally just recorded it on her webcam. Or Josh Matakor, he's been working in IT and cybersecurity for a long time. And he started making these very useful videos, just teaching people about IT and cybersecurity and how to land the best jobs. And he went from zero to over $180,000 in a single month doing this. And by the way, it's not just job-related. It's anything that you have solved problems with. Any experience that you have, you can just teach it on YouTube. And especially if you're on the older side, this is working incredibly well. So just as an example of something that's not job-related, Isaiah Harris, he teaches people how to sing at a professional level of competence. And he started with us this year and he's now made over $100,000 on YouTube. And he was able to quit his sales job because of it. Or Dr. Dani, she's working as a doctor, but she also loves makeup and skincare. So we combined her profession and her professional expertise with her passion and her channel is all about how to age well. And one of the very first videos that she uploaded using our system did over 900,000 views in just a few weeks. And these people are not special. They're just using the same playbook that I'm talking about today. You go through life, you do jobs, you acquire experience, and then you just film yourself doing the job or you teach other people how to do the thing or overcome the problem or what you learned with your experience. And a lot of the time it's really boring stuff. As I always say, there's billions in the boring. So this is the job that Google Translate was supposed to kill 10 years ago and AI was definitely supposed to finish it off. But the opposite happened. Medical interpreters convert what the doctors say and what the patients say in real time during diagnoses, emergencies, and consent conversations where one wrong word can genuinely hurt somebody. And here's the reality check. The Hastings Center reports that medical interpretation in the U.S. is so inadequate that it's actively harming patients. So delayed emergency care for kids, more medical errors, higher costs, et cetera, et cetera, because there aren't enough human interpreters and hospitals keep falling back on machine translation that fails exactly when it matters. And Google Translate doesn't even support Cantonese properly, which is a language with over 70 million speakers. And HIMSS, the health tech industry's own body, says that hospitals are exploring AI translation tools specifically because of interpreter shortages while admitting that nobody has a consistent way to test whether those tools are safe or not. And the shortage is so bad that they're reaching for tools that they can't even verify. That is not a replaced job. That is a desperate one. It's even gotten serious enough that JAMA, the top medical journal in the country, is publishing episodes debating whether AI can safely interpret in a clinic. And the language services companies are so hungry for interpreters that they are producing entire podcast series about the career just to recruit people into it. Now, to know exactly what a medical interpreter does, I went to YouTube and found a video from Wired where they filmed a professional interpreter and had him break down a real-time interpretation. And that video has 9.2 million views and it made $45,000. And that's just an AdSense money alone. And by the way, there's way better ways to make money on YouTube outside of AdSense. We made like $33,000 last month from AdSense. That was less than 5% of our total income. That's another thing I'm going to be talking about at the live training. So if you are thinking of doing this job, then I suggest that you record yourself doing the job and get paid extra for it because medical interpreters make $79,000 to $147,000 a year. And the next job is going to be a pharmacist or just medical careers in general. But I'm choosing pharmacist for a specific reason because I used to be one. Now, pharmacists are the last checkpoint between a doctor's prescription and your body. And they catch the deadly drug interactions and dosing mistakes before you swallow them. And everybody believed that AI would replace pharmacists. But according to research, AI is just a tool and could not replace the pharmacists. And according to me, that's a big duh, but I am biased. And Axios reports that pharmacy school applications collapsed by 64% from about 100,000 a year down to about 36,000. While Walgreen's own chief pharmacy officer is out here saying, quote, we have got to evolve this to get people excited to get back in the industry. So let's go ahead and walk through what actually happened here, right? AI and automation showed up around this job. The applicants vanished, but the jobs didn't. AI did not take the jobs. It took the applicants. And the BLS still protects that there's 14,200 pharmacy openings every single year. And they make a median of $137,000 a year. And you can watch this whole irony play out on screen. Violin MD shadowed a hospital pharmacist for a full shift, got 643,000 views. And the video literally shows the pharmacy robots working while the human pharmacist runs everything around them. And I would know why people are quitting this job because they are getting burned out. Now you might ask, how would you know that Shane? Well, I'm glad you asked. Well, it's because I am a pharmacist myself. I went to school, got my doctorate, became a pharmacist because I didn't want to be poor anymore. And I got into $300,000 in student loan debt. And it was really a terrible situation because I started as a pharmacist right before the pandemic hit. And I was overworked, stressed out, depressed, burnt out. And if all of that wasn't enough, we also got robbed three times in a six month period. So it was also in fear of my physical safety on a day-to-day basis. And because of that, I tried just about every side hustle out there to make money. And that includes YouTube. And I would write my scripts during my lunch and record during the weekends. And fast forward to today, I've made over $10 million from my YouTube channel. I've helped over a thousand verified testimonials get their dream jobs.
