Lavertezzo – A Stone Gem in the Verzasca Valley

Lavertezzo is one of the most beautiful villages in the Verzasca Valley in the canton of Ticino. This small stone village is best known for the iconic Ponte dei Salti, a historic stone bridge gracefully spanning the emerald-green waters of the Verzasca River. The river is the true highlight of Lavertezzo. Its crystal-clear water flows between smooth granite rocks, creating spectacular scenery that almost looks unreal. The old stone houses, narrow lanes and steep mountain slopes add to the unique atmosphere of this corner of southern Switzerland.
