We Went Full-Time in Our RV… Then EVERYTHING Broke Down

RV Trip Across America
Sep 15, 2026

We were SO excited. We had just sold everything, including our house and everything in it to chase our dream of full-time RV life, moving with our 4 kids into our 43-foot class a motorhome—but reality of RV living hit us really fast. And hard. Just days into our full-timer RV journey, our motorcoach broke down again and again, forcing us to take the bus back to our roots. This episode is a behind-the-scenes look at our first major RV (and almost mental) breakdowns, the challenges of RV living on the road, and how we drove our motorhome back to Sarah's family farm to get help from her dad with much-needed engine repairs. While the road wasn’t easy, slowing down reminded us why we chose this RV lifestyle in the first place—family, simple living, and the freedom that comes with full-time RV life. From fishing in the pond, red dirt roads, and eating fresh garden veggies, to tackling engine troubles in our motorcoach and learning tough lessons about RV travel, this video captures the real story of what it’s like when you commit to full-time RV living. (Spoiler: It's not always adventures and blue skies.) Join us as we share the highs, the lows, and the beauty of RV life—from breakdowns to breakthroughs—and why the journey is worth it for families chasing adventure on the road.
