AI presentation tools are getting better every day, but here's the problem.
Most of them still create the same generic AI slides.
A few headings, some bullet points, random stock images, basically AI slop.
There are also some hidden gems that can actually create impressive presentations.
So today we're ranking 10 AI presentation makers based on their slide quality,
pricing, customization, how well they follow prompts, and how much AI slop they produce.
And we're putting all of them into this tier list,
and let's see which tools actually deserve the top spots.
Let's start with SlidesGo and Chatslide.
Both of these tools can help you create presentations quickly.
And if you just need something basic, they can get the job done.
But when it comes to following detailed prompts, things can get messy.
Sometimes you ask for a specific number of slides or a certain structure,
and the result doesn't completely follow your instructions.
And the bigger problem is the design.
You can end up with slides full of bullet points and text
instead of clean visual storytelling.
There can also be issues like awkward image cropping,
overlapping elements, and misaligned graphics.
So they're useful for quick and simple presentations,
but for overall quality, I'm putting them in D tier.
Next up is PlusAI, and there's one thing I really like about it.
It works directly with Google Slides and PowerPoint,
so you don't have to completely change your workflow.
That's definitely useful.
But the problem is the overall value.
The pricing is quite high compared with some of the other options,
and the layouts can feel restrictive.
You don't always have as much freedom to make precise changes to the slides.
So while the integration is good,
I don't think the overall experience is strong enough to rank it higher.
D tier.
Now let's move into C tier with SlidesAI.io.
This tool is mainly interesting because of its integration
with Google Slides and PowerPoint.
So if you already use those platforms,
it can fit nicely into your existing workflow.
You don't need to learn an entirely new presentation editor,
but the actual presentation quality
isn't quite at the level of the tools higher on this list.
And the generation limits can also be restrictive for larger presentations.
So good integration, but overall, C tier.
Next, we have Pitch, and I actually like Pitch quite a lot.
The problem is that it's not really designed for everyone.
Pitch is especially useful for marketers,
startups, corporate teams, and professionals
who regularly create presentations together.
The collaboration and professional workflow are where it really shines.
But if you're just a student trying to make a presentation for class,
there are simpler options.
So I wouldn't say Pitch is bad.
It's just more specialized.
For that reason, C tier.
Now we're getting into the more interesting tools.
Next up is Manus.
What I like about Manus is that its presentation generation
feels more unique than the typical AI slide generator.
It takes a more agent-like approach
and can handle more of the presentation workflow
instead of simply filling a template with text.
The results can look really different from the usual AI-generated deck.
But there's one major downside.
There's no free plan.
So even though the overall quality is impressive,
the pricing makes it harder to recommend for everyone.
That's why I'm putting Manus in B tier.
Next, we have Beautiful.ai.
And honestly, the name says a lot.
This tool is really good at creating beautiful, professional-looking slides.
The layouts are clean, and the platform helps
keep everything organized as you edit your content.
So you don't have to manually adjust every single element.
But there's one major problem for me.
There's no free plan.
If you're someone who only creates presentations occasionally,
that makes it harder to recommend compared with some of the free options.
The presentation quality is definitely there,
but because of the pricing, B tier.
Now we're getting into the top four.
And first, we have Canva.
Canva is one of the most popular design platforms out there,
and there's a reason for that.
You get tons of templates, graphics, images,
animations, fonts, and customization options.
And with Canva's AI features,
you can also create presentations much faster.
The free plan is another huge advantage.
But here's why I'm putting Canva in A tier instead of S tier.
Canva is more of a complete design platform
than a presentation tool focused on deeply analyzing your data.
If your priority is creative control and design,
Canva is fantastic.
But if you want AI to take your actual data,
analyze it, and turn those insights into a presentation,
there are better options.
So, A tier.
Now we have Notebook LM,
and this one is especially useful for research-based presentations.
The biggest advantage is that you can provide your own sources
and research material instead of simply telling AI,
make me a presentation about this topic.
You can give it the actual information you're working with.
That makes it especially useful for students, researchers,
and anyone working with a lot of source material.
It's not necessarily the best option
if you're looking for flashy marketing presentations.
But when it comes to turning research and source material
into useful presentation content, it's extremely powerful.
So for me, S tier.
Next up is Gamma.
And Gamma is probably one of the easiest tools
if you want to go from idea to presentation.
You give it a topic, describe what you want,
and it can generate the structure, content, and visual design.
And the biggest thing Gamma gets right is the overall look.
The presentations usually feel modern, clean,
and much more polished than a typical AI-generated deck.
It's also easy to customize and export your work.
So if you want something that's fast, simple, and visually impressive,
Gamma is definitely one of the best choices for me, S tier.
And finally, we have Julius AI.
And yes, I'm also putting Julius in S tier.
What makes Julius different is that it's not only focused
on making your slides look good.
It can actually work with your data.
You can give Julius spreadsheets, documents, research, or other files,
and ask it to analyze that information before turning the results into a presentation.
For example, you could give it a spreadsheet and say,
analyze this data, find the most important trends,
create useful charts, and turn the key findings into a presentation.
And that's where Julius becomes really interesting.
It's not just generating random information to fill your slides.
It's helping you find the story inside your data.
And once the presentation is generated,
you can also ask Julius to change individual slides.
Want less text?
Ask it.
Want a cleaner chart?
Ask it.
Want a more professional design?
Just tell it what you want.
And after you're happy with the result,
you can export the presentation and continue editing it yourself.
So when I look at the combination of data analysis,
presentation generation, customization, and overall usefulness,
Julius is one of the strongest tools on this list.
That's why I'm giving it S tier.
So here's the final ranking.
And remember, this ranking is based on slide quality,
pricing, customization, prompt accuracy, usefulness,
and how much AI slop each tool produces.
Your ranking might be completely different.
If you care mostly about design, you might put Canva in S tier.
If you're doing research,
Notebook LM could easily be your number one.
And if you're working with real data
and want AI to actually analyze it before creating your presentation,
Julius is definitely one of the strongest options.
So that's my final tier list.
