Hello welcome back to my channel and to today's video where I'm going to be sharing
what's new in my wardrobe ahead of the coming autumn season. Right starting off with this red
leather tote bag that I bought from Zara this was £139 and I bought this following on from
the trends sort of a chatty trend video that I did a few weeks ago where I was discussing
five autumn winter trends that I love for the coming seasons and five that I don't love and
red spoiler alert if you haven't watched that video was one of the trends that I do love and
I have bought a couple of red pieces two of which you will see in this video including the bag and
I'm starting to think that red is definitely going to be an accent color slightly controversially
because I have in the past said that I do not like red but I think it's going to be one of those
accent colors that plays a really big part in my autumn winter wardrobe now this is a really decent
size tote bag I definitely put it in the large category if you're looking to fit a laptop in
here I would say that is a definite it's a really really roomy bag now inside there is a zippy pouch
also made of leather and this is attached to the inside of the bag but it is detachable so
if you didn't want it in there you can completely remove it altogether now the reason that they've
put this in here is because there is absolutely no closure on this bag whatsoever it is fully
open there's no zip there is no magnet there is no clip or lobster claw clasp so it is a fully
open design now what I like in particular about this bag is there are no bells and whistles
there is no dangly bits there is no unnecessary hardware there are no logos or stampings on the
outside of the bag there's no crazy panels just giving it extra sort of fuss and faff it's nice
and clean it's minimal and that suits me perfectly it was exactly what I was looking for in a red
tote bag now one other feature that I wanted to mention is that inside it has a structured panel
which is sewn to the base of the bag so that when you put it on it doesn't cause the bag to sag
it just keeps that very classic tote shape because it has that rigidity rigidity is that even a word
it has that structure across the base of the bag so therefore it doesn't lose its shape it's nice
and structured however it is structured so just something to be aware of that that is causing a
little bit of bulk here at the side right the next three items I actually don't have to show you
at this point of filming the video you will see them in the cutaways but these items I just bought
from Cezanne I think it was two days ago they had their first autumn drop and I really have
to restrain myself from buying so many more pieces than the three that I actually bought
so I'm going to start off with my favorite which is the Cezanne Danny coat I don't know what to say
there's so much to say so Cezanne released the campaign imagery before the collection dropped
so that you can have a look through you can see any pieces that you might like and therefore
be as I was poised and ready to buy this coat the minute I scrolled and saw this coat it was
coat perfection now with this being an autumn drop it is a shorter length so it is more of a jacket
but it is still you know sort of a wool fabric it's actually a wool blend with 75% wool which
is responsible wool standard certified and then is blended with a bit of I think it might be
polyamide or polyester I can't remember so it is a wool blend which for 365 pounds some people
might be like huh but I kind of think there is a bit of value it is 75% wool which is a hefty
amount it is the dominating fiber and sometimes adding a polyamide or something like that can
just make it a little bit more durable it can also make it fuzz less now this is the type of wool that
is quite compacted so it's almost like double-faced wool if you're thinking about that kind of texture
and that sort of feel to it so I feel like this is going to be the kind of wool fabric that doesn't
fluff a lot anyway but what I'm trying to say is that it's not always a negative if you're adding
in some artificial fibers to natural fibers like wool now there are a few features about this coat
that just completely had me head over heels first of all if you do it all the way up it has this
really beautiful sort of wide but structured funnel neck the second point was the color
it's beige need I say more I am a beige fiend I love beige I love my neutrals so it's going
to be something that's going to be able to integrate really well into my existing autumn
winter wardrobe number three is just the overall style and that's kind of includes these sort of
it just overall has a very Celine vibe to it Phoebe Philo kind of era and I think that's one
thing that I always look for when I'm looking for outerwear I want it to have that really sort of
minimal but chic and classic vibe to it something that can be a little bit edgy if you style it that
way but also something that can be quite elegant so it's versatility as well as just sort of overall
style right now my next item is a bag and this is the silo bag or at least that's how I think you
pronounce it and this was 185 pounds now they dropped this in three leather colors an olive
green a black nice and classic and then the one that I opted for which is ecru and then there's
one more still to come and that's a mocha suede but I think again following on from the trends
video we all know how I feel about suede and I'm trying to avoid it and so that would not be an
option for me but the leather color is really beautiful now this is another item which just
has a very clean and minimal sort of aesthetic and overall style to it dare I say another very
Celine looking item it's a bit reminiscent of the trio but unlike the trio it doesn't have those
three separate compartments it's just one compartment and then it looks as though it has
one of those structured top sections with the magnet that then closes it at the top
now it looks to be quite a decent size I'm hoping it's not going to be too big to be worn as a cross
body because I don't like anything too sort of envelopey especially when it comes to those more
sort of flat more compact bags if it's a boxier one I feel like with a low heavy puzzle for example
you can get away with it being a little bit bigger but with ones like this I'm just hoping it's not
too large right now my final item from within this Cezanne order was the Zaley coat and again I don't
know if I'm pronouncing that correctly but that's how I've read it and this was 260 pounds now on
first impressions I actually thought this was a jumper however when you read the description of
it it is actually a double-faced wool fabric so it's very very similar it's going to be very
similar to all of those unlined coats that you guys know that I favor so highly so it's going to
be a nice sort of compact wool fabric it is 100% wool so there's no blend with this one and again
it is responsible wool standards certified now this has a slightly contrasting neckline so the
neckline appears to be knitted and it says it's a cape style coat so it kind of looks like a jumper
but it's in the coat category and once more just the overall style of it very minimal came in two
colors so a chocolate brown and a navy and I don't have a great deal of navy outerwear I tend to
always go for black first so that's why I thought you know what navy is a nice chic color it's also
quite practical with it being another dark option for the autumn winter seasons so that's why I
opted for navy it's got really nice sort of bold sleeves I've got a feeling there might be a bit
of a tricky situation when it comes to wearing certain bags like I think shoulder bags are
probably going to be a no-go because it's got these wider sleeves and it is more of a cape style
but I will share those details in the cutaways and again for anyone who might be interested I
will share any further information any further sort of thoughts and feelings and whether I'm
keeping or not keeping any of those three items down below in the description box because this
will be information I'll be able to share once I've actually received these items right I'm going
to move on now to an item that I physically have and I've actually worn this a few times already
so this is a red bomber jacket that I bought from Massimo Duty a few weeks ago this was 130 pounds
now there are a lot of red bomber jackets starting to drop so there is going to be a whole plethora
of options if anyone else is also looking for a red bomber now initially I thought red was going
to be my accent color when it came to accessories but the more I've sort of mulled on it and don't
get me wrong I'm not going to be head to toe red it's always just going to be one feature color
but I knew that when it came to bomber jackets I was definitely going to want a red one and I'm
more than likely going to add another bomber jacket or maybe several to my wardrobe as well
because I just really like this style and I feel like it fits in with a very minimal aesthetic
despite the fact that minimalism is not in at all for this season in fact there's been such a
of there just being a sort of maximalism flamboyancy is making its return and I think
that's why there is such a focus on the more bolder colors but with that said you can still
as I'm hoping to rock the minimal aesthetic and incorporate in a bolder color like red
so the bomber jacket in general has quite a sporty vibe to it there's a lot of funnel necks this
season I think the majority of them are all going to be funnel necks now the bonus of a jacket
especially when it has a funnel neck is that you don't always have to wear it as a funnel neck
when zipped all the way up it creates a nice sort of structured effect which again gives that kind
of sporty element to it but then you can leave it unzipped a little bit and kind of have that
pointing away from your face the the funnel you can leave it open and wear it a little bit more
as a sporty kind of overlayer there's just different options now what I like about this one
is a couple of things first of all is the color so in a similar way to that Zara bag that I shared
earlier the red isn't super super bright and like light red almost it has a deeper shade to it so
it's still very bold but it's deeper it almost feels feels just ever so slightly more subdued
than the sort of really bright red the second point is that it is overall a very minimal style
so there's no unnecessary hardware on here there's no sort of toggles or poppers or anything like
that it's just a simple sort of sporty zip up jacket there is a couple of pockets but again
no poppers no zips on there they're just basic pockets and on the bottom no toggles or anything
so it's not the kind of jacket that you can cinch up super super sort of tight to really blouse it
over but you can still blouse it over as you would want to with any kind of bomber jacket
and I've been wearing this recently just with some of my Uniqlo easy trousers I've also worn
it with jeans it's a really nice lightweight piece and it is a cotton blend now this is one
thing I will sort of reference when it comes to bomber jackets with them being this kind of sporty
fabric it's unlikely that you're going to be getting them in any kind of fully natural fiber
at this point there's going to be cotton blends there's going to be viscose blends there's going
to be a lot of nylon and polyester but that's just very sort of appropriate and fitting for
this type of jacket and I must say that that doesn't bother me in the slightest I have been
wearing this in fact I wore this on a walk the other evening just because it did get to look a
bit chillier and I was walking a little bit later on in the evening than I normally would and I
wasn't sweaty inside it just kept me gave me that sort of extra layer of warmth that I needed
but without me getting the polyester sweats right now finally I have purchased this is actually a
repurchase rippy purchase whatever you want to call it so this is a jumper that I have previously
owned and I have got no idea where it is I think I might have left it in an airport because the
last time I wore this I was traveling and I think I've probably left it in an airport because I
don't remember coming home with it so I've replaced the jumper with a new one identical
these are the Uniqlo C collection classic cotton jumpers they are a hundred percent cotton they
kind of feel a little bit more casual because it's it's the neckline has a bit of a sweatshirt vibe
to it but the fabric is so soft it's a decent thickness so it's going to be perfect for
transitional weather they are a nice basic piece but really good for layering as well
and I bought camel to replace the one that I have lost that's probably at Gatwick somewhere
and a gray one as well and they have these actually in nine colors I was very very tempted by the red
but for now I have held off and also there's a really nice cream color but I've also held off
as well I'm trying not to go too crazy because at this time of year before I've done my wardrobe
switch over it's when I start to get really excited about the new season and that is very
much a danger zone for me because this is when I can get a little bit carried away and when I have
to start using that wish list process that I talk about so often to stop me from over buying because
autumn is and always has been and always will be my season I love it it's my favorite season
and I can start to get a little bit carried away with autumn fashion because it is my go-to my
favorite season for getting dressed so I have just limited myself to these two for now but
yes the only thing I will say having already owned one of these jumpers is that they can
bobble a little bit so you do need to have you can of course freshen them up as you can with
any other sort of piece of knitwear with a fabric shaver but they will start to bobble in areas
now one final thing that I will say is that it does say on the label and on the website that
these are hand wash only no tumble drying obviously and dry cleaning I think is also
not an option it either is or isn't an option I can't remember but anyway it's basically telling
you to hand wash these now what I did with my older one was I popped it in a garment bag and I
put it in the washing machine on a delicate cycle now obviously Uniqlo is saying it is hand wash
only I'm using the hand wash cycle in the washing machine and for me that has worked so I will just
leave that as my word of advice but it is hand wash only so I just want to mention that because
I know that some people don't want to go adding things to their wardrobe especially when they are
hand wash only or when they're going to be a bit of a faff to launder because it's just very
time consuming right there we go those were the few items that I've added to my wardrobe ahead
of the autumn season that is incoming I'll probably do an updated one of these videos as we get further
into the season so maybe late October early November time because there is a lot on my wish
list I'd love to know if there's anything in particular you're on the hunt for that you're
looking to add to your wardrobe maybe it might be a trend maybe something I spoke about in the
trends video maybe something else that you just need to update in your wardrobe or upgrade or
replace whatever it may be let me know down in the comments section below but for now that is it from
me thank you as always for watching and I'll see you next time
