This is Forest Ridge, a modern retreat here in Ohio.
Two bedrooms, three bathrooms.
I think you guys are really gonna like this place.
If the exterior intrigues you,
the inside is really cool as well.
There's two sections to this home
connected by a glass hallway.
Very unique.
I love the way the exterior looks.
I think you'll wanna see the inside in this full tour,
which we'll be touring this place today.
So let's check it out.
I found a phenomenal picture I loved.
I don't even know where it was at,
but I loved the look of it.
It was basically like two separate homes
with a little, what'd you call it earlier?
I called it a dog trot.
Yeah, in between.
Another thing too is we wanted really big ceilings.
So I think the right side starts at maybe 10, 12 feet
and goes all the way up to 15 feet.
Wow.
Yeah, so it's pretty spacious inside.
So pulling up to the property,
we are deep in the woods here.
I mean, the driveway is a quarter of a mile back.
It's far.
I mean, if you take a listen, it's nothing but nature.
No car sounds.
It's totally private.
It is really, really cool.
Also on this property is the Blackbird tiny house
I featured earlier.
If you wanna check out that video after this one, do it.
This one's not a tiny house though.
Like I said, two bedrooms, three bathrooms.
This exterior is definitely a modern look.
So we have the black on this side
and it's modern look because we have
the transom windows up top that are just more,
just a geometric shape.
And then the overall structure
is just like a geometric shape.
And then we have the structure over here
that is not black, but wood.
I love the wood and the black combo,
but this is like a separate home.
You can see down this little sliver,
it's connected by a hallway with some glass windows there.
I think that's really unique.
We haven't seen anything like that.
It's almost like a dog trot, but it's closed off.
It's like an opposite of a dog trot.
So very neat.
I love the wood.
I love the black of this place.
I love the privacy.
We'll walk up onto this deck space.
We have a couple of chairs out here to sit out
and just enjoy the nature.
I mean, if you live in the city,
this is totally something you'll enjoy.
Let's walk inside.
So walking inside,
is this what you imagined this would look like?
I don't know.
We're immediately in the large living room
and the kitchen space.
I love the tall ceilings in here.
This whole wall is glass
and you get to look out into the nature.
I love these huge picture windows
and even the French doors with the glass.
Really, really nice touch there.
I mean, it's later in the evening now,
so not a ton of lights coming on.
We have some accent lighting in here.
It just looks cozy.
This is the living room though.
We have a couch up here against this wall,
couple chairs over here,
and this all faces the TV mounted on this wall.
Now this is a large living room, so it's good.
We have a large TV up here.
I like the slats wood on the wall.
And of course you have the electric fireplace below.
Now, if you scoot back a little bit,
you can see just how large this living room is.
You can fit a lot of furniture in here.
Large living room,
and I really like how this living room
is connected to this kitchen space back here in the corner.
So we have a small dining table here.
That's all right.
Four seats.
I think it's a good size.
It doesn't take up a ton of space in here.
And then we have the kitchen, appropriately sized.
It has everything you would need.
I like the butcher block countertops.
I always like that.
On the appliances below,
we have the sink here with the window,
the microwave, the floating shelves.
We have the oven range and there's no vent hood though,
but we do have a full size refrigerator right there
full of my, oh my gosh.
All right, close it.
Full of my dinner that I'll be eating here soon.
And then we can continue this way.
Now we're still in the main section, the black,
and through this door right here.
Let me open that up.
We have your first bathroom space.
This bathroom is a half bath.
The cool thing about this is the corner toilet.
We don't see that, you know, interesting feature too often,
but I think it works really well in here.
And then we also have the full washer and dryer,
which is cool.
So it's like a half bath plus,
of course the vanity behind me.
We'll walk out of this now.
And then through here,
this is the unique piece of the home.
This little hallway connects like these two structures.
Glass.
We're looking in between the home.
I have no idea how they sided the home.
I mean, it's just enough room for me to walk through
and they have siding in here.
Impressive.
But anyway, we're on this half now.
And on this half, we have two bedrooms.
Also right here is not a closet.
It's a utility closet with all your stuff.
So we won't look in there.
Let's check out this bedroom first.
Over here on the right.
This one has, I believe a king size bed in here.
Nightstands.
We have the TV up on the wall.
Here's a cool thing.
The bathroom is attached to it.
So if we walk in here,
this bathroom's basically as big as the bedroom.
Double sink vanity here, which is a cool little feature.
Through this door behind me, it's not a closet.
You know what it is.
It's the toilet space.
I need to look up what a toilet room is called
because I'm not too sure.
I thought it was a lavatory.
Lavatory, that is an option.
The loo?
Okay, no, let me look up the specific.
Called a separate small room that only encloses the toilet
is the water closet.
Did you know that?
No, I did not.
The more we know, this is the water closet.
This over here is the tiled shower.
Black tiling.
I love the marbling as I'm a big fan of that.
Even the base is tiled.
Really nice.
And of course we have the storage over here.
So this bathroom's really nice.
We'll walk out of here now.
And then of course, what you guessed,
you know this is a two bedroom home.
On the other side, we have identical bedrooms.
Different bedding.
King size bed in here again.
We do have the TV up on the wall
if you like to watch TV in bed.
Through here is the other bathroom, identically flipped.
So water closet is right here.
There we go.
We have a double sink vanity here on this side.
And then we'll close this door.
Different shower.
So this shower has white tiling.
I'm curious, which one do you guys like better?
I like the white tiling much better.
It's brighter.
And then we have the storage over here.
So that's everything in here.
We'll walk back out.
Let's walk back to the main room.
Off the kitchen, you saw the story.
This leads up to your back patio space.
Let's unlock it and we'll check it out.
Here we go.
This is your outdoor space in the back, which is very nice.
Beautiful hot tub here.
Look how blue that water is.
Don't you just want to get in there?
Especially on a cold night.
In front of me, we have some outdoor seating on the deck.
But then we walk down here
and this is your just outdoor area.
Grill, fire pit out here.
I mean, very standard for an Airbnb home.
And this is your entire outdoor space.
The big question is what would something like this cost?
So for us, we wanted, this land is about 13 acres
and we wanted to put Forest Ridge in the very back of it.
So there were trees everywhere.
So that was a big expense.
And then obviously the driveway going all the way
in the back of the property was a big expense.
And then we've got, it's kind of a unique build,
really tall ceilings, lots of windows.
So something like this is probably 500 or 550,000 total.
And that's including basically everything.
That's electric, septic, water,
everything to be brought back here.
And that stuff's expensive.
Interior to get the interior design, the whole ball of wax.
That's everything here at the Forest Ridge.
Comment down below what you think of the design
having like these two structures connected by a hallway.
And of course, one's your bedrooms
and one's your living room and bathroom.
Curious what you guys think of that.
I think it's pretty cool.
I imagine it's hard to heat and cool.
You would definitely need two separate systems
is what I'm thinking.
It's just what I'm crossing my head.
Anyway, if you want to book this place.
Forest Ridge is on Airbnb, VRBO
and direct booking with Harp Housing.
Linked down in the description below
if you want to check it out.
Check out the Blackbird tiny house video.
That's also on this property, but it's so far away.
That means property is absolutely massive.
Can you see that bug on the lens?
No, I can't.
I seen it flying by.
It's on there.
Anyway, booking link's down in the description below.
Thank you guys for watching this video.
See you in the next one.
