As the 25th anniversary of the September 11, 2001 terrorist attacks approaches, President Trump gave a new account of what he says happened in the aftermath of the attacks. Speaking at a ceremony honoring those killed, Trump said he went to lower Manhattan shortly after the attacks and two firefighters physically carried him to safety when a nearby building appeared ready to collapse. Trump has made similar claims about his presence at ground zero for years, but there is no evidence supporting the account that firefighters carried him from the site. Nicolle Wallace is joined by John Brennan and Steve Liesman for analysis on Deadline White House. Plus, co-host of MS NOW's "Morning Joe" Jonathan Lemire, MS NOW Washington Reporter Jackie Alemany, Author of "The Cross Section" Substack Paul Waldman and MeidasTouch Chief Washington Correspondent Scott MacFarlane join Katy Tur to discuss how Trump’s 9/11 story is another example of how Trump “has to put himself in the center of everything.”
