A two crore rupees film has just delivered a box office shock that even Bollywood blockbusters
would struggle to match. Hanuman Ansh has exploded in its fifth weekend, collecting 49.25 crore
rupees and beating the fifth weekend numbers of Dhurandhar 2. What started as a modest devotional
film has turned into one of 2026's biggest theatrical surprises, powered by word of mouth
and a growing audience. In the midst of an unprecedented theatrical run, the makers and
cast of Hanuman Ansh met Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath at his official residence.
Director-producer Vishal Chaturvedi and lead actor Shobhnav Satya shared the filmmaking journey
with the Chief Minister. Take a look. Some films arrive with superstars, massive budgets
and giant opening day numbers. Others quietly enter theatres and wait for audiences to discover
them. Hanuman Ansh belongs to the second category. It had a quiet start at the box office.
Hanuman Ansh released on 250 screens, collected 90 lakh rupees in week one and dipped to 46 lakh
Indian rupees on 40 screens in week two. But the word of mouth from viewers helped. Collections
rose to approximately 10.5 crore Indian rupees in week three and crossed 50 crore Indian rupees
in week four. Hanuman Ansh has delivered a staggering 49.25 crore Indian rupees in its
fifth weekend. The film refuses to slow down based on the life and spiritual journey of Neem
Karoli Baba. Normally a Bollywood film tries to arrive as loudly as possible. Producers spend
before release on trailers, outdoor ads, campaigns but this movie had none. Shobhnav Satya and Chandan
Anand starrer movie continues to amaze Bollywood. Hanuman Ansh made a reported two crore rupees,
has grossed around 170 crore rupees in India in little over a month and its theatrical run
is still not over. So what is driving this miracle? Word of mouth. The film tells the spiritual
journey of Neem Karoli Baba, affectionately known as Maharaj Ji, a revered Hindu saint and devotee
of Lord Hanuman. Born Lakshman Narayan Sharma, he became known for his teachings around devotion,
love and selfless service. His Kainshitam ashram in Uttarakhand is a major spiritual center.
Steve Jobs to Mark Zuckerberg, his tech pioneers made pilgrimages to Kainshitam,
seeking clarity and vision during pivotal periods in their early careers. Oscar winning actor Julia
Roberts says seeing a picture of Maharaj Ji's smiling face led her visit to India and embraced
the spiritual path. Audiences are flooding cinemas not for artificial special effects but for an
spiritual connection. Hanuman Ansh proves that authentic devotion still conquers raw spectacle.
