In this video, we are going to cover some of the best credit card bonuses in September 2026,
including one that just launched from Capital One. Then we have a huge 300,000 points
monster bonus from Amex and some bonuses that are ending this month. So stay tuned.
Hey, credit warriors. Welcome to the show. My name is Ben Hedges, aka The Credit Shifu.
And on this channel, we talk about U.S. credit cards, personal finance and luxury travel.
If you like the sound of that, please subscribe. But let's get into it. Oh,
this video is brought to you by Max Rewards, but more on that later. First up, the Capital One
Venture. OK, so first, Capital One has just improved the welcome offer on the Capital One
Venture Rewards card, and this is actually a pretty solid deal. Right now, new cardholders
can earn 75,000 Capital One miles after spending $4,000 in their first three months, plus a separate
$300 Capital One travel credit that can be used towards hotels and vacation rentals
booked through Capital One travel. That $300 credit expires one year after opening the account.
So unlike some credits that renew annually, this is really part of the sign up offer
rather than an ongoing benefit. Now, if you value Capital One miles at just one cent each,
the main 75,000 mile welcome bonus is already worth $750. Then you add in the $300 travel credit
and you're looking at $1,050 first year value before subtracting the card's $95 annual fee.
And obviously, if you transfer those 75,000 miles to airline partners and get more than one cent per
point in value, the upside could be considerably higher. So if you use the points guys valuation,
for example, for Capital One miles of 1.85 cents per mile, that's going to be $1,387.50 in value
for the miles part of the bonus alone. And then you add in that $300 credit, and that gives you
$1,687.50 in value. The venture itself is also a pretty straightforward credit card, you earn
two miles per dollar on basically everything. And then on top of that, you get five miles per dollar
on hotels and car rentals booked through Capital One travel, there are no foreign transaction fees,
you also get up to $100 credit for global entry or TSA pre check every four years. Now, is this
the best venture offer ever? Well, no, but maybe yes, it's complicated. It's debatable Capital One
previously offered 100,000 miles back in 2023. You can see it on the chart here on US credit card
guide. If you are going off pure value of miles using a point sky valuation, which suggests that
you're transferring them out to airlines and hotels and stuff. The value of the 100,000 miles
would be higher at $1,850 in value, okay, that's higher than the value you'd get of the 75,000 plus
the $300 credit. But if you use all of the miles through the travel portal, okay, on both credits,
okay, so 75,000 plus the travel credit through the travel portal, it's going to be $1,050.
Whereas if you use the 100,000 miles for the travel portal, it would just be $1,000. So you get
actually $50 value more through the travel portal. So that may benefit people who just want to keep
it simple and use the travel portal. So from that point of view, if you're a travel portal person,
I would say yes, this is the best bonus ever. And if you're already considering the venture
because you want a simple 2x everywhere transferable points card, getting 75,000 miles
plus $300 towards travel makes the first year pretty attractive. Alright guys, let's move on.
The next one's urgent because it's ending soon. The Chase Inc Unlimited and in cash.
So if you've been thinking about applying for one of Chase's no annual fee Inc business cards,
you might want to do it quick because two of their best ever welcome bonuses are ending soon.
Both the Chase Inc business cash and Inc business unlimited are currently offering $1,000 cash back
after spending $8,000 in the first four months. This is auto convertible into 100,000 points.
If you have another Chase card like the Sapphire or Inc preferred, and you can then get more value
on the travel portal, or you can transfer it out to airlines and hotels, giving you potentially
$2,000 or more in value. And yes, this is the best ever offer on both of these cards. And what
makes it especially enticing is that the cards have a $0 annual fee. Okay. It is super rare
to get a welcome bonus of a thousand dollars or more in value on a no annual fee credit card.
The Inc business unlimited is the simpler option earning 1.5% cash back on every purchase,
also convertible to 1.5 points on every purchase. This is a card I personally have as well. I track
spending categories to maximize my personal spend, but in my business spending, I just like to keep
it simple, especially because like a lot of my spending is at like non category places like
swimming pool supply stores or whatever. So 1.5% or 1.5 points per dollar on everything is great.
The Inc business cash is more category focused earning 5% back at office supply stores,
internet cable and phone services on up to 25,000 of combined spending each account year. Plus it
has 2% back at gas stations and restaurants also subject to that 25,000 combined cap.
There isn't an exact expiration date listed on Chase's site for this offer. So I wouldn't wait
around assuming that these bonuses will still be here at the end of September. They could go away
any day now. All right, let's move on to a monster 300,000 point offer from Amex and several other
offers too. But first, if you're serious about getting every little bit of value out of your
rewards credit cards, you've got to check out the app max rewards. Not only does it show you your
balances, transactions, points and rewards balances across all your cards, even if they're from
different issuers. So you can see everything in one app, but it also incorporates really useful
features like the card value tracker, where you can clearly see the value you got back in a year
versus the annual fee. You can see it on my Amex gold. We have the value of the points I earned
the offers I redeemed and the credits I used in the most recent update. They've redesigned the
benefits page to give you a very clear picture of your coupon book style credits. You can browse
across all your cards like the Amex dunking credit, the Lulu lemon credit. You can even
see your spend progress towards a free night on the Hilton card. So it's very easy to see
where you can maximize value and where you missed out. Look, I forgot to use my Amex dining credit
in April. And that's exactly what the credit card companies want you to do. Forget about these
benefits and let them reset the next month. So you lose them. This really lets you outsmart the
corporations. In addition, the office page still lets you search your offers across all of your
cards from different banks. There's the for you tab, which finds offers that are appropriate for
you based on your past spending. The popular tab showing you offers popular with max rewards users
and the value tab showing you the offers where you can get the most cashback or rewards. And
these are offers from all your banks. Look, here's an Amex one. And the next one is a chase one. Max
rewards will also activate all your offers for you. So you never miss a deal. Some of these are
premium features and require max rewards gold. But you can get a free trial and then a three
month discount after the trial ends with my link below. Or if you download it directly from the
app store, use code Ben when you sign up for the same deal. There are also free features on the app
that you can try out as well. All right, let's move on. Next up, American Express is currently
offering one of the biggest credit card welcome bonuses I've ever seen. Actually, I think it is
the biggest if you get rid of bonuses with stupid spend requirements like spend half a million
dollars to get the bonus. That was one we actually did see from Capital One quite recently. So anyway,
the Amex business platinum is now advertising a welcome offer of as high as 300000 membership
rewards points after spending 20000 dollars in the first three months. Now, the important words
here are as high as this is one of Amex is personalized offers. So when you apply, Amex will
tell you exactly how many points they're willing to offer you. You could get the 300000, but you
could also be offered lower amounts such as 250 200000. The nice thing is that you can go through
the initial application process, see your offer and whether you're approved and then decide whether
you actually want to accept the card. If you don't accept, there's no hard credit pool. Now,
300000 membership rewards points is an absolutely enormous amount of points, even if you value them
at just one cent per point. That's still 3000 dollars in value. And if you transfer those
points to airline partners and use them for business or first class flights, you could
potentially get considerably more. The points guy currently values that 300000 point bonus
at as much as 6000 dollars using their own valuation of two cents per point. But there are
two big catches. First, you need to spend 20000 dollars in only three months. So this really is
designed for businesses with significant natural expenses. And second, the business platinum now
has a hefty 895 dollar annual fee after the recent upgrades. But if your business can comfortably hit
that spender requirement and Amex actually gives you the full 300000 point offer, then this is
probably the biggest transferable points welcome bonus available right now. Just one note, if you
search Amex business platinum on Google, you may see a fixed 150000 point offer. Don't apply for
that one by mistake. Open up an incognito tab or use a browser that you don't normally use to
search for the card and you should see the 300000 point offer. I also received it as a mailer. So
check your mailbox, too. Next, we have another limited time offer from American Express ending
very soon. The Marriott Bonvoy Brilliant. If you are a Marriott fan, here is a pretty strong
limited time welcome offer on the Marriott Bonvoy Brilliant American Express card. But you don't
have much longer to get it right now. New card members can earn up to 150000 Marriott Bonvoy
points plus a 250 dollar statement credit after spending 6000 dollars in the first six months.
And importantly, this offer ends September 30th. So this isn't one of those vague limited time
offers where nobody actually knows when it disappears like you have with Chase. No, we do
have a real deadline, September 30th, 2026. If we use a points guy valuation, I love the points guy.
His valuations make everything so easy. Anyway, if we use a points guy valuation for Marriott
points of 0.75 cents each and by the way, that's gone down recently. It used to be, I think, 0.84.
But if we use 0.75, then that gives us 1125 dollars in value for the points. And then we just
have to add in the 250 dollar statement credit, which takes us up to 1375 dollars in value.
Now, the Brilliant is definitely not a cheap card. It has a 650 dollar annual fee, but it
also comes with some serious ongoing Marriott benefits, including automatic Marriott Bonvoy
Platinum's elite status, 25 elite night credits each year, up to a 300 dollar annual dining credit
and an annual free night award worth up to eighty five thousand points after your card renewal.
You also get six points per dollar at Marriott hotels, three points per dollar at restaurants
worldwide and on flights booked directly with airlines and two points per dollar on other
eligible purchases. So it could really give you a lot of value anyway, if you use all the benefits
of the card or you could just get it for the bonus now and then potentially downgrade it to the
or to the Marriott Bonvoy card with a ninety five dollar annual fee, the modern art card,
the one that's not available to new card members anymore. Those options should be available.
Alternatively, though, you could actually just close it after a year because it is a co-branded
card. So the points go to your Marriott account. You won't lose the points if you close the card.
But the key thing here is that if you want to get it and get this bonus, you need to act fast
because that one hundred and fifty thousand points plus two hundred and fifty dollar statement
credit bonus ends on September 30th. Get it while you can. And we have just one more card for you
in this video. City Advantage Executive World Legend Mastercard. My goodness, the name of that
card is a mouthful. And actually, they've just renamed it using the word legend. And this card
is currently offering a one hundred and twenty five thousand American Airlines mile bonus for
I know that's a bit much, that spend requirement. But I think this does deserve to be included in
this video because it just launched like a week or two ago. And it is their best ever bonus offer,
although the spend requirement is kind of high. But you do have five months to do it in. All right.
But that's still like three thousand dollars a month is probably just about doable for like
middle class people, depending on what expenses they have in those five months. Like, say,
you booked, say, a five thousand dollar vacation with the card as a one off expense or you were
doing some, you know, renovation work or something as a one off expense for five grand. Then you
only need to do two thousand dollars per month in additional spend, which I think probably is
doable if you put like all of your bills, you know, car insurance, utilities like everything
onto the card. Right. Probably is doable for most people using a points guy valuation for a
miles of one point four or five cents each. The bonus is worth one thousand eight hundred and
twelve dollars, 50 cents, which is a pretty big bonus. Guys, you've got to admit for an airline
card. Anyway, that is the video today. Don't forget, you can get a free trial and then a three
month discount after the trial ends with my link below for max rewards. Alternatively, you can
download it directly from the app store. Use code Ben when you sign up for the same deal. Please
subscribe to the channel if you knew. We'll see you next time. Bye bye.
