Niecey Shaw of Classix 1029

Well, with a Snoop Dogg biopic on the way, we now know who will play the role of the notorious B. I. G. Radio personality Nisi Shaw joins us now with more Nisi. Good morning. This is highly anticipated and some big casting news. Indeed, Joanne. I'm excited for it. Music, legacy, hip hop history and also a proud family moment all wrapped into one. So Swivel Tank Twain, that is, is the son of late neo soul legends D'Angelo and Angie Stone. He's been cast as the notorious B. I. G. In the upcoming Snoop Dogg biopic Snoop. Um, so listen with the family genes of D'Angelo is your dad with brown sugar music. And of course, late great my friend Angie Stone wish I didn't miss you. I definitely think the music is flowing through that family gene. So I'm really excited about him able to carry on the legacy of his parents through this huge moment of hip hop's greatest storytellers. Um, and the cast wait for this, Joanne. I love out. I don't know if you watch Outer Banks on Netflix, but he plays Pope. Jonathan Davis is gonna be the lead road. He's actually gonna be playing Snoop. So I'm really excited about that. Um, everything from Miles Bullock. He'll play Dr J. Cameron Jones. You may know him from the Purge television series. He'll portray Tupac Shakur and so much more. Algae Smith know him in euphoria. He'll play Warren G. So it's, uh, well, we're even Lauren London. She's another one who plays Snoop's mom. I love that too. Well, fantastic. We gotta wait about a year to see the finished product. But Nisi, thank you so very much. We appreciate it. And be sure to listen to Nisi Shawn mid days from 10 to 3 p.m. On Classics 102.9
