Should I be talking or should I be talking? What I love when I think about making clothing is not just about what is a trend or it's not about should this cut be different. It really is meant to kind of create a feeling. I want someone to say, how does this jacket make me feel when I put it on? Not just how does it make me look. Obviously I want it to be well fitting. But yeah, I often think about what do I want my clothing to say? What do I want somebody else to feel when they see the clothing, whether it's hanging on the rack or where it's questioned. It makes people think a little bit. So that's the idea behind this one. It's sort of exploring our love of military clothing. So I thought, let me make something that looks like a three-piece suit with a full-on vest. The people of hell. But I'm going to make something out of the most utilitarian object that a soldier has. It feels beautiful, even though it's full of holes and tears and a history.
