We had a wonderful Labor Day picnic at Pepper Grove in Balboa Park. Everything was lovely and perfect.

We usually practice and teach the Falun Dafa, aka. Falun Gong, exercises in Balboa Park on Sunday mornings from 9:00-11:00 as well as holding other events such as the Zhen-Shan-Ren Art Exhibit once a month during the summer. All Falun Dafa events are free of charge.

Falun Gong is a mind/body practice with deep roots in ancient Chinese traditions. In the 1990s, Falun Gong became widely popular across China for its many health benefits. By the end of the decade, one hundred million Chinese had taken up the practice. People felt that the good things from China’s ancient traditional culture had returned. However, threatened by its popularity, Jiang Zemin, the head of the CCP at the time, ordered Falun Gong to be “stamped out.” A brutal persecution was thus launched that included mass arrests, torture, forced labor, brainwashing, and forced live organ harvesting. Countless innocent Falun Gong practitioners have lost their lives. The persecution continues to this day.
