The popularity of pompon flowers shows no sign of fading. I have the impression that it's constantly growing. One example of this popularity is the success enjoyed by this particular miniature rose, Pompeii. A relatively new variant, presented by Cordes in 2022. And it very, very quickly, rarely happens that a variant catches one off guard so quickly. It's enjoying such success. I'll admit honestly, I wasn't a fan of this rose, because I saw it two years ago at our nursery. It looked terrible. It was first soaked by rain, then scorched by the sun, and those flowers looked very, very bad. It really looks nice and attractive here now. Even though we also had rainy weather, and now the heat has arrived. Look, the growth is perfectly even, just like a ruler. All the flowers are practically at the same height and are blooming as if at the same time. It's not always a positive trait. Sometimes we want the blooming to be even, but in this case, with this variety, the moment it blooms is simply nice. The quantity, those hundreds of pompon-like flowers in this two-toned but intriguing color, make it simply impossible to look away. Very full blooms, these light-colored buds that open up and, once fully developed, reveal a slightly darker center. Very full, not too large, and a very healthy rose.
