Was it a good summer?
Actually, it was.
I cried a lot, but so what?
I cry a lot in real life, too.
Show me a sad video on TikTok, I'll cry in the morning.
I cry over everything.
Hi, allure, this is Melanie Moreno,
and this is my 10-minute beauty routine.
So this is my everyday makeup look.
Every time I'm in a rush or wherever I'm going,
I feel like this is the foundation of my look.
I focus on the cheeks and the lips.
I have this odd thing where I have to have them match,
or it just doesn't make sense in my head, so yeah.
First thing I use is this spray.
I don't know how to pronounce it,
but you can take a screenshot and figure it out.
It's kind of like this truffle, white truffle spray,
and it kind of hydrates my face.
I'm not really a matte girl.
Even in the summer, I want to look dewy,
I want to look wet, like I came out of the ocean.
The next thing I use is this Outset Boosting Oil.
It's kind of my favorite oil
just because it's not very oily, which I love.
That's kind of all I do for skincare
when I'm doing my makeup.
For foundation, I keep it very light.
I use the Mary Phillips Serum Foundation.
I mix these two because I'm either really tan
because I'm outside too much,
or I'm either inside in my house
trying not to have any social interaction
because I had way too much for the last month,
so I'm probably too pale right now
because I have been hibernating.
When I was younger, I actually used to sit and do my makeup.
It would be late at night, could be midnight,
and I would go in the mirror and I would do my makeup
for no reason.
I had nowhere to go, nothing to do,
but for some reason, doing my makeup
was kind of like my therapy.
I would do hot pink eyeshadow
with glitter and blue eyeshadow,
and I was a very big makeup person.
I would steal my mom's makeup all the time,
and she would catch me, and I would get in big trouble.
I will say, as I'm getting older,
I've learned to keep it minimal.
I'll keep buying the same color blush
from every single company.
The next thing I use is this Dior concealer.
I love this little brush.
It's like an actual brush instead of one of the,
I don't even know how to explain it,
but I just really like this brush.
My mom was a really big makeup girl.
Everything I do is me copying my mom.
The way I describe my mom is, yes, she's my mom,
but for some odd reason, me and my mom
feel like we have this weird connection
where we bond way more than mother and daughter.
It's kind of like even way more than a best friend.
It's very weird, but I love it
because I understand her in ways
that you shouldn't understand your mom,
and I'm so forgiving and understanding of her as a mom
because I think sometimes we forget that,
well, this is her first time being a mommy.
She does not know what she's doing.
She's kind of just figuring it all out too,
so I kind of give her a lot of grace as well.
Okay, back to the makeup
because then we're gonna get sentimental in here.
I talked about my mom.
I start crying.
I do this thing with my concealer where I just let it sit.
I feel like it gets a little tacky,
and I feel like maybe I'm delusional,
but it makes it a little bit more full coverage,
so while that's going on, I kind of just do my brows.
Sorry, I'm gatekeeping.
It's actually NYX brow pencil.
I actually use two
just because I like my eyebrows in the lighter,
like in the lighter side,
I don't really like matching my eyebrows to my hair.
I don't know if you guys remember 2016 eyebrows.
I had them, and I think I just learned my lesson
that I just cannot ever do dark eyebrows again.
After I'm done with my brows,
that's when I start blending my concealer.
Doing my makeup in the villa was kind of like,
think about when your mom was like,
hey, do you want to come here with me really quick?
And it's a place you need makeup,
so you're like rushing to do your makeup
because you don't want to look a mess.
That is like doing your makeup in the villa.
Like you have to, you're kind of rushing to get ready.
When you woke up from the villa, you would wake up.
I would run upstairs,
because I knew I take the longest
and the last one out all the time
because I'm the one chatting the most.
I would go pick a bikini.
I would always say in the villa,
like your thing is wake up and put a bikini on,
wake up and put a bikini on,
wake up and put a bikini on.
That's literally what we did every day.
We woke up and put a bikini on,
and we would put it on, figure out what mood I'm in.
I'm like, okay, Melanie, are you in a good mood,
or just not in the mood today?
Are we just like going to focus on the hair,
work the hair so that we don't have to do so much makeup?
It just depends how I woke up.
Now I do bronzer.
My favorite, favorite bronzer in the world
is the Chanel bronzer.
I love this bronzer because it lasts forever.
I've had this for a very long time,
and it's never running out.
Makeup does have an expiration date.
Do I listen to that?
No.
It expires when I'm done using it,
because absolutely not.
I paid so much money for this.
You're not expiring, and that's bad,
but this is why you shouldn't listen to everything I say.
So I like putting this on my forehead.
I'm very messy with my makeup.
It works out for me, I don't know why,
but I put it all over my forehead,
on my cheeks.
What I like about this is it's like
transitioning me to look burnt.
Like I want to look burnt like if I just sat in the sun
for five hours or I fell asleep.
That's the vibe we're going for.
We in a cute way.
I feel like in the villa,
we all kind of were like makeup girls.
We all had things that we wanted from each other,
whether it was like a spray or an eyeshadow.
I think all of us are just very big makeup girls.
Trinity sometimes would do an eyes eyeshadow.
I was very big on blush.
Kaida also loved doing a really cool eyeshadow.
I think we all just grew up very into glam.
So my favorite, favorite part
of my whole makeup routine is two things.
It's the lips and the blush.
Every day in the villa, if you found me,
I was doing my blush.
I was just in there, I'm like, is that enough?
And the girls would yell at me and be like,
Melanie, like, it looks good, but you need to stop.
For blush, I use this road blush,
which I love because I could just put it in my purse
and reuse it throughout the whole day.
Because I feel like if your blush looks good
and your lips look good, your makeup just looks good.
So I use so many shades, but for this one,
this is the Toasted Teddy.
I like this color.
So my makeup is, blush is dirty.
I respect makeup artists so much
because they constantly just sit there
and they have to keep cleaning these brushes.
I will just buy a new one.
I'm sorry, I can't.
I don't have the energy.
I used to work three jobs before this.
So I didn't have the time.
I was a manager at a bikini store
and then I worked at another store
and then I nannied at night.
So I didn't have time to clean my brushes.
I kind of had to sleep, you know?
I also put some blush on my forehead.
It's a must for me, I must put blush on my forehead.
I don't know why, it's not for everyone.
I know some people don't like it.
I kind of love it.
It looks like a lot right now.
Just give me a sec.
This is where the Beauty Blender comes in.
My Beauty Blender's dirty, don't judge me.
You guys want the real makeup routine or not, you know?
I start blending it because it does become a lot.
But when you blend it,
I feel like that's when you look burnt.
Afterwards, I go in with a powder.
This is the powder I use.
I was trying to buy a new one
so that you guys didn't see how broken this is.
It's very broken, but I went to Sephora
and I couldn't find it,
and also it doesn't even have the color on the back anymore.
It still has a sticker from being in the villa
because they have to cover all of the brands,
but it's one size, I promise.
I set my under eyes.
I honestly feel like watching back the clips,
my makeup looked better,
but I remember when it was movie night
and I saw myself and I was like,
oh, I need to add more makeup.
That was actually a thought that I had
when it was movie night.
I was like, oh shoot, I did not look good that day.
And that's when I started adding more foundation
to my makeup because I was like, that's not a good look.
But now looking at it, I did like my makeup.
I was like, okay.
I like that I did the same thing every day
unless it was nighttime.
Then I added a little bit more,
but this was always the base of my makeup.
This is a blush that I use on top.
I kind of do it after my powder
just because I feel like,
I don't know, something with my brain,
but it's a nude kiss.
Again, I'm also very weird with my placement of blush.
I kind of like it under my eye.
A meme that I was shocked of.
My favorite one is me smiling like this
because that's actually me when someone tells me something
and I don't want to show that I'm shocked about it,
but I'm trying to show that I'm supportive.
So I'm like.
But it got compared to the Obsession movie,
which is actually so crazy because while I was in there,
I was saying this line like, no, no, no.
We actually all were,
but I was actually saying that line
the whole time in the beginning.
So maybe that's why.
What else?
The Give Me 10 shocked me.
I will say that.
The Give Me 10 meme shocked me
because I say Give Me 10 all the time.
It's a thing that I would always say at work.
I'm like, oh, give me 10, give me a sec.
So now when I say it, I freeze
because I'm like, oh shoot, I forgot it's a meme.
So now I have to be like, give me 15 or something.
I actually need more time now.
I don't need 10, I need 15.
Okay.
Now I'm gonna do my lips.
Everyone was asking me what was my lip combo.
That's why I didn't reply.
Because it's like 20 things.
First thing I do is I use
the Summer Fridays Pecan lip liner.
It's like this reddish color,
which kind of matches my cheeks.
Then I use the Makeup By Mario.
I've just gone through a lot.
And Travis to kind of like blend it out.
Okay, I will say I'm very like obsessive with my lips.
I feel like I need to sit down and do it for like 20 minutes
because I feel like my lips don't look right.
I feel like the whole makeup just looks bad.
So I do sit and do my lips for a really long time.
I then go with the Mary Phillips Siggy Stick
in Tickled Pink.
And I just hit it right in the middle.
Then I go with the YSL Candy Glaze.
I kind of got to this concoction
because I kind of wanted to find
an everyday color for my lips.
I would look at a lot of my friends
and they were a little fair,
so I feel like they could find
like the perfect pink lip for them.
But I feel like for me, I'm kind of tan.
So what is that perfect everyday color?
Because it's not pink and it's also not brown.
So I think I kind of just wanted to find
the perfect everyday my lip but better.
Because I was just like, I got a little jealous.
I'm like, oh, you could just get one lip liner
and you just, it's like your lips but better.
So I was kind of just looking for that myself.
I found something close.
I love the Mary Phillips one.
I always ended off with this one.
It kind of is like this cool tone brown
and it kind of deletes the red a little bit.
So it can look a little bit natural.
It gets better through the wear.
After a couple hours, I promise you,
it looks like your lips but better.
So this is what you end up with.
I got one more thing and then I'm done, I promise.
Usually I do like lip gloss.
So I always ended off with the Dior lip gloss.
I don't even know what shade this is,
but I love this lip gloss.
When I'm done with it,
I need to figure out what color this is.
I'm almost done, I'm almost done.
Then I use mascara.
I love the Lancome mascara.
It's waterproof.
I'm an empath, I'm always crying.
So I need waterproof mascara.
First thing I did when I got home from Fiji is I slept
and I talked to no one.
I think none of us talked.
Actually, we tried to like spend some time alone
without each other and it didn't work.
We kind of are like, all of us are stuck together.
We're very protective of each other.
So I spent a couple of days alone in my apartment
and then I went to go see my friends.
But I think I've just spent a lot of time alone in my house.
You don't get much time alone in the villa.
You actually don't get any time to yourself at all.
So I think when I landed,
the only thing I wanted to do was like be alone
for a minute, especially after the shock
from how I walked in the villa
to how I walked out of the villa.
I gave my phone away and when I got my phone back
and I got out the villa, a lot of people knew me
and it was kind of like a shock
and it's still a shock to me.
Even now, I'm still trying to get used to it.
But yeah, I've been spending a lot of time by myself.
And when I'm by myself,
sometimes the girls be at my house sleeping over.
It'd be two girls in my bed.
It's a queen bed and we just all share a bed.
I think Love Island every single day
because they are my best friends in the whole world.
They're like my sisters.
Like, well, they're actually my sisters.
I even talk to their parents.
So that's how close we are.
Okay.
Last thing for eyes, I always use a black liner.
This is the Makeup Forever Black Liner.
And I just...
See?
You need a black liner.
That's so good.
Then I use brow gel to keep the eyebrows up.
This is like my finishing touches.
That's how you know I'm about to be done.
Now we're gonna set my face.
I use two.
I use the L'Oreal Infallible
and I use this to set my face.
Then I use the Tatcha Dewy Skin Spray.
I only use it on my cheeks
because this can get very oily very fast.
And when I'm all done, I use...
This is dirty too.
I'm so sorry.
I'm just a girl.
I'm a messy girl.
The Merit Stick.
So good.
Use it right here.
Use it on my eyes.
Okay.
Last thing and I'm all done.
This was like my ride or die in the villa.
Any makeup look I did, this is what I was using.
I feel like a lot of people always ask about my eyes.
It was this.
It was always this.
This is the only thing I had.
So this was like my ride or die.
I take these two and a lot of this one.
And this is the finished look.
And if you guys want more tea,
remember to watch Love Island USA
season eight reunion on Peacock.
Thank you Allura for giving me 10
and I'll see you guys on the next one.
Bye.
