Extraordinary Moment Two Nepalese Workers Rescued after Nine Days Trapped

Two workers have been pulled alive from a hydropower tunnel nine days after the devastating Nepal floods as emergency teams continued to search for hundreds of others believed to be trapped inside.

ITV News captured the moment the helicopter carrying the men arrived for medical treatment. They were taken from the helicopter on stretchers into waiting ambulances.

The workers were rescued from the Trishuli 3A tunnel more than a week after the floods, likely caused by a glacier collapse, devastated towns and swept away villages in Nepal on 26 August.
