Well, we also have this story out of West Houston, where two people were
found dead inside of the leasing office of an apartment complex. Now, I'm gonna
read you some of the information that we have here of the victim. So we know
one is identified as 67 year old Rosa Ibarra. She and a 47 year old man were
killed inside Park at Woodlake leasing office. Now, both of them multiple
gunshot wounds, and HPD says they don't have a suspect yet, which is very
concerning in our cares. Belger is live for us cares piece together what
happened for us. Yeah, Rashi, not only is there no known suspect, there's also
no known motive. Nearly 24 hours later, this all happened at the apartment
complex just behind me. That's where Rosa and another employee were found
just yesterday around 6 45. We actually spoke with a woman who lives on the
property, she said. Around 6 30, she saw employees running towards that
building, and she didn't want to be identified on camera simply because she
is understandably worried for her safety because, as it was stated,
there's no known suspect at this time. But she did say that at the time she
never heard any gunshots, despite Ibarra and the other gentleman being
found with multiple gunshot wounds. Now, HPD called around, said the call came
in around 6 45 in the evening. Ibarra and an unidentified man were
pronounced dead at the scene. Residents say they saw no one running or driving
away. Police collected footage from the woman we spoke to his camera. She just
doesn't know what exactly was captured. HPD has not said whether
surveillance has provided any suspect information at this time.
That's scary. That's I mean, right in your back door. That's that's scary.
That's real scary.
My heart really go out because I met the daughter, the granddaughter last
night.
Here's just like we learned there. That's scary, and I just can't imagine
what the residents are feeling knowing that this suspect is not in custody
right now. So what are police saying to these residents?
The message is very clear. Stay alert and stay aware. If you saw anything,
heard anything, think you may have an idea. You're asked to call Crime
Stoppers or to reach out with any other information you may have. They are
actively working to determine what exactly happened and led up to this
incident. Meanwhile, I've reached out to the management company or the rather
the ownership company over this property. I'm currently waiting for a
response. I'm Karis Belger for Fox 26 News.
