TCU holds special signing day for cancer survivor

It's our honor to have you here and to make you a Horned Frog. I just want to give a shout out to our players. I mean, we have a really unique group of young guys that love each other, but love also serving the community. Really proud of our players and who they are and what they stand for. And I think you're just like them. I think you're unselfish. I think you're great. We talk about all the time the importance of being a great teammate. I think you're going to be a great teammate. So we want to welcome you to the Horned Frog family. And I look forward to watching you grow up and continue to get to know our players and get on our program. And again, it's a proud day for us. And we thank you for coming and joining the family. So excited to have you here. Yeah, I kind of want to just reiterate what Coach said. This experience with Heston has been just phenomenal for the past few years that we've been together. Just to see you grow and become the person that you've become, it's just nothing short of amazing. I mean, you're a great kid. And the battles that you've been able to overcome is much greater than all us players have experienced in our lives. So that's such a blessing to see you grow and become such a great person. And a little bit more about myself and the way we've related is my brother also had leukemia at a young age. And just seeing how he's been a role model in my life and just how you have been the same thing to the people around you. I mean, you've brought your classmates around. You've introduced me to so many people. And I hope I've been just as much of a role model as you have been for me in my life. Like, you've been such a great person, brought everyone around you consistently, been the same person every single day. And that is just amazing to bring you along on this team. You're so valuable to each and every one of us in our lives. And not to mention just the great family that you have behind you. You've been a great brother to all your siblings. And then not only your parents have been amazing to you as well. You have such a great foundation. I'm so glad to see things you have in store for you and your future man.
