Also learning more about the victims of Wednesday's mass shooting at a downtown
Minneapolis apartment. Three of the people are dead, including the
suspected shooter. Six others were injured, including those three
Minneapolis police officers that we just talked about. Now the officers are
expected to make a full recovery, but there are still many heartbroken and
grieving to our Fox nine's Emily Pofall is live for us outside of the
shoreline apartments. And Emily, you spoke with one of the victim's
families. Tell us about that. Right. We spoke with 63 year old Dale Spry's
family. He's an army vet being remembered as a jokester and a
peacekeeper. Spry's nephew tells me that he was pretty protective and
says he loved watching wrestling. They grew up together here in Minneapolis
just eight years apart. And he says Spry had mentioned concerns about a
neighbor flashing a gun before. Investigators say Carlton Johnson, the
second open fire here at the apartment Wednesday, killing Spry and 61 year old
Muse Ofra injuring the mother of his child, three police officers and two
building employees. When somebody has that place in your heart, you know,
that's the last thing you want to accept is that they're not around
anymore, especially something so senseless. Like I know deal would have
worked with that guy no matter what his issues were at this point, the
State Bureau of Criminal Apprehension has taken over the investigation and
those officials say that right now they don't have any evidence suggesting that
Johnson targeted Spry or any of the others specifically. But that is
something they're still looking into you guys.
