MAJOR Knicks Move Incoming - Insider Reveals NEW Targets...
Sep 4, 2026
A major New York Knicks move is incoming as an insider has revealed new targets for the
Knicks as they still look to add another big man to this team right now.
The Knicks have been connected to many different players and after Ben Simmons did ultimately
decide to sign with the Sacramento Kings, there are very few names left on the board
that the Knicks will feel are worth signing.
So this update is absolutely huge because it does give us a lot more insight on what
the Knicks are thinking ahead of training camp as far as it goes with signing guys or
evidently going on to make a trade and we also do have an update on the trade stuff
as well to go over.
So guys, before we jump into all this, I do just want to ask you to subscribe to the channel
because there is a lot of Knicks news coming out right now and 66% of you guys are not
subscribed and you could miss some Knicks news if you are not subscribed.
So make sure to hit the button.
It's completely free and also we're going to have some good info for channel members
as well.
We're going to have some good content for them.
But guys, diving into the video, we know Leon Rose is not done making moves.
Whether it's a trade, whether it's a signing, the Knicks are adding a third center to this
team.
Also, I do want to say it's possible they do go the route of just giving guys training
camp deals and finding one that way or even adding two centers on two-way contracts so
they can delay the problem at least for a little bit until around the deadline where
they'll want to add another center.
They had three last year.
Most teams have three centers and even though OG Onenovi can guard bigs and Mohamed Diawara
can maybe learn how to play center, it is still a risk for the defending champs.
So there is a lot to look at here.
And recently we did see a new report on the Knicks and who they are looking at.
Ian Bagley revealed that New York, the defending NBA champion, has enough money under the second
apron to add another veteran minimum contract.
The club currently does not have enough salary space to add two players on veteran minimum
deals though.
And per owner James Dolan, the team will not exceed the second apron in team salary.
So obviously there's a lot to look at.
But per SNY sources, guard forward John Conshar and forward center Drew Eubanks are among
the players on New York's radar as we draw closer to training camp.
Conshar recently waved and stretched after a trade to Minnesota.
He is known as a strong rebounder, defender, and offensive connector who can knock down
perimeter shots over a seven-year career.
Eubanks' 2025-26 season in Sacramento was cut short in March following surgery to repair
a UCL tear in his left thumb.
The 6'10 veteran would presumably competing with a couple of other big men for the Knicks'
third center spot in training camp, which obviously is a very big part of this, especially
because the Knicks understand they have to get this right.
There's no other way around it.
Right now where the Knicks are, if they don't get it right, they could risk not winning
the next NBA championship, which would, you know, obviously hurt.
But at the same time, there's a lot of reasons to believe in this team.
And that's why I am taking them on Cal Sheet to be the 2027 NBA champions.
It's why I am trading on Yes for the Knicks to win.
And guys, thank you to Cal Sheet for sponsoring this video.
On Cal Sheet, you're trading directly against other users, not the house like traditional
sportsbooks.
You're buying Yes or No on contracts on the outcome of events across sports, politics,
or even the weather.
And guys, honestly, I do think the Knicks can easily go back to back.
I think they have one of the best chances of anyone in recent memory because the core
is mainly the same, which is why signing another big man is so important to this team right
now.
And also, guys, on top of that, if you are interested in trying out Cal Sheet, use the
link in the description, trade $25 with code DigestNBA and get $25 added to your account
instantly to trade on Yes for the Knicks.
But looking at the Knicks and where they are, it would make sense for them to give Drew
Eubanks specifically a real invite to training camp.
Would I sign him to a veteran minimum deal?
No, I would not give him a guaranteed contract.
He's coming off of an injury and I'll be honest, I am not the highest on Drew Eubanks.
I know some people do like him and he's a serviceable big man for sure, but to me, he's
kind of smaller.
I know he's 6'10", but he's not really the biggest guy.
It feels like he could be at risk of getting bullied by bigger centers.
Overall, in 30 minutes, put him five points and three rebounds per game, shot 59% from
the field.
He got .6 blocks.
It's not like he's a terrible player.
He is a serviceable NBA player who's carved out a career for himself, but I'm not the
highest on him.
He doesn't add a lot offensively outside of right below the rim, which is fine, but he
has to be a better rib protector.
He's not the world's greatest athlete.
Frankly, I think the Knicks can do better than this and them signing Drew Eubanks to
me kind of makes me think one thing.
They don't have a rim protector.
They have OG.
I don't think that's the right way to go about it, and that's nothing against OG at all.
It's about the fact that the Knicks need a true seven-foot rim protector.
Every team should have one.
If the Knicks sign Drew Eubanks, they're effectively forfeiting that right.
They're effectively deciding, no, we're not going to go ahead and do that at all.
That's just not happening, which I just don't love the idea of.
I don't really see the point.
I mean, look, as Basketball Index did say, though, using their play type similarity tool,
we can look at who Walker Kessler played like last season, and he was compared to 2025 Drew
Eubanks and Mark Williams, who both have been talented NBA players.
I mean, well, when we look at Kessler, he was a great NBA player, and Mark Williams
is a very solid one.
Also, shout out Omer Yurtsevin when he had a moment in the NBA with the Heat.
I actually still think that the Knicks should honestly look at him for a training camp invite.
I might make a video on that.
Let me know what you guys think about that.
I have seen a few comments about Yurtsevin, so let me know.
I will make a video on that because I actually am a big fan of him.
He also dropped like 90 points over Seeds once, which is absolutely insane.
But Brett Seagal also did mention this.
The Heat were one of the teams with real trade interest in Jon Consar when he was still with
the Memphis Grizzlies.
Now, Consar is not anymore.
He did get traded and instantly cut from the Minnesota Timberwolves, but Consar is certainly
an interesting player.
Also, he was on the Jazz prior to that.
He was part of the Jaren Jackson Jr. trade as well, so he was in Utah for a little bit.
Consar is definitely not a forward, or he's definitely not a center.
He is a forward.
He's a good shooter.
He gives the Knicks another six-foot-nine type of player who can guard a few positions,
albeit not perfectly.
He's not the world's greatest defender, but he can hit his open shots, and he's certainly
someone who I understand the interest in.
Do I think he's a huge need for the Knicks?
No, not at all.
But again, this is the route the Knicks go if they decide ultimately, hey, we're just
going to sign two two-way centers and hope one of them works out so we can give them
a full-term contract or we, at the very least, just get to bide our time until we go out
there and get a center for the second half of the season.
Last year, though, Consar was not hitting his threes effectively, which is concerning.
Only shooting 28 percent for three.
Now, the defense was solid.
You've got to give him that 1.5 steals, .7 blocks.
So yeah, I mean, I guess he makes some sense, but I don't really love the idea of anyone
shooting 28 percent for three.
Consar, I mean, he's had good years defensively last year even, but also in the past he's
had years where he's not as good defensively.
And frankly, I really don't love the idea of a job.
I don't love the idea of either of these moves, if you guys can tell by the way I'm
talking about them.
I just don't think either of these moves make a ton of sense for the Knicks.
I think there are better moves out there to be made.
I think you can use guys for trades.
I think they should use guys for trades.
I obviously do think that Deuce is someone who could get traded.
Same goes for Tyler Kolick and Paco Mbadia.
All three of them are actual viable trade candidates, just in the sense of the Knicks
trying to find a big man.
But it also depends on price.
I don't think the Knicks would trade Deuce McBride and a bunch of picks for like a Moussa
Diabate or an Ives Meese, personally.
I think the Knicks value Deuce higher than that, which I agree with.
It's more about the sentiment of what happens midway through the year.
I think the Knicks also see it that way.
They want to see kind of how the season plays out, and then they can make a trade, which
is why they're going to do training camp invites, and then they could sign two younger centers.
They absolutely have the opportunity to do that.
And on top of that, if nothing else, they'll just find a way to work out a trade.
It's not that I'm concerned, because I'm not.
Leon Rose is good at this stuff.
I just really do think the sense of urgency they have with this is kind of putting them
in tunnel vision.
So seeing that they were interested in Jon Conchar actually kind of makes me kind of
happy, because it shows the Knicks do not have a one-track mind, which would have been
the wrong way to go right now, because again, they have obviously another move to make.
They're going to sign another guy, and I am curious to see who that is, and we are going
to be reporting on it instantly once it happens.
So guys, make sure you are subscribed to Knicks.
I just like this video.
