Welcome back. Are you looking for a new way to work out? Well, Bungee Fitness combines
cardio and strength training with a low-impact, gravity-defying twist. I went to check it
out. Take a look.
From jumping jacks to squats, the moves may be similar, but the feeling is totally different.
Bungee Fitness is great because it removes 40% of your weight from your body. Some people
can't do a burpee or even jumping jacks, but in a bungee, you can do it, and you can
get a great workout. At AirFit Bungee in Burbank, strapping into a springy, swingy harness adds
an aerial twist to your workout. In this high-energy group class, it's all about engaging your
core, working on strength and cardio, all while defying a bit of gravity. They get a
great workout. Anyone can do it. Absolutely anyone, any age, shape, size. Everybody has
a good time.
The workout is relatively new here on the West Coast. This studio has only been open
for a year and a half, but its following is growing. The bungees make it fun, and being
low-impact makes it a good fitness option for many. I find it really fulfilling that
so many people come in that think they can't exercise, and they leave just smiling and
happy. Not only a workout, but a joint-friendly way to fly. I am shocking my body into doing
something completely different, and I feel like I'm also inspiring other women to get
out of their comfort zones and do something fun like this. It's fantastic. It's been an
amazing journey, and I would encourage a lot of people to do it. The workout that you get
is so hard, and it's like a short amount of time, and you're pouring sweat before you
know it, so that's what I love about it. It's like a time crunch, but you get a good workout
in. Totally worth it if you want to soar. In Burbank, Sandra Endo, Fox 11 News. What's
fun about it is that everyone is happy, smiling, they love it, they're working out, but also
it's really friendly on your joints. You're not going to aggravate your body, so everyone
can work out, you know, without an excuse. Can I soar? No. I'm the wrong person to ask.
They enjoy it. You get a little out of breath because it's cardio, but it's just really
friendly on your body. It's not like a lot of impact. Was it your first time doing this?
It was, because in the end, you were flying, Sandra. That's what I mean. Well, also, the
tension on the bungee can be changed, so if you wanted a little more gravity to it, they
can release a bungee, or if you want it tighter, they can... Wait, they have to do that for
you? Yeah, they do it yourself. Oh, interesting. No, they do it in advance. They kind of get
your weight. Ah, okay, okay. Yeah, so I was really flying. It was fun!
