I was spinning a roulette wheel of hell. I went to Tony Robbins and I walked on coals. I said, you know what? If Oprah walked on 10 feet of burning hot coals and she didn't burn her feet, that's really what pushed me over. I was like, you know, then I can. And that was a unbelievable session of mind over matter. But then I went to this place in Tennessee and they had an AA meeting at the end of the day. And since I had attended every session so far and was going back to a room by myself, I was like, okay, give me a shot. I went, unbelievable. All you need to do to feel better is hear someone else's ----, right? It just brings out the empathy. And then tucked in by the empathy is the gratitude. And it's impossible to feel depression and anxiety at the same time as gratitude and empathy.
