For this version, we took inspiration from the beautiful, stripped-back rendition by Chris Stapleton and Morgane Stapleton, leaning into the simplicity of the song with acoustic guitars and three-part harmony.
What makes this one particularly special is that I got to share it with two of my best friends and bandmates from MudRoad. We've spent countless hours making music together over the years, so getting the three of us together in front of a camera for something this simple and honest felt incredibly natural.
We filmed this in late August on the outskirts of Bengaluru, overlooking the beautiful Manchanabele Lake. The skies were overcast, the hills were green from the monsoon, and there was a stillness to the whole place that ended up giving this song a mood we couldn't have planned any better.
Three friends. Three voices. One timeless song.
Sometimes that's all you need.
