I Don’t Want the Jets to Sign Justin Tucker
Sep 3, 2026
In her continued pursuit of a kicker, the Jets brought in a number of names for workouts
on Wednesday, and among them were guys like Michael Badgley and Joshua Cardi, and the
most notable was this guy right here, was Justin Tucker.
And look, man, I get it.
They're just doing due diligence.
The Jets claim Blake Groupie off waivers, and he is more than likely going to be their
week one kicker.
The Jets are just trying to get a pulse on the other options available to them, but as
somebody who has the Jets occupy an embarrassing amount of their headspace, I don't want this
guy anywhere near this football team.
I guess we could talk about it.
Look, honestly, man, I'm not really looking for a two-way discussion on this, like TikTok's
not the forum for it, and if you have a dissenting opinion on it, you can probably keep it to
yourself, because I'm not particularly interested in hearing it.
But the fact of the matter is, 16 different massage therapists accused Justin Tucker of
inappropriate conduct.
And while he has denied these allegations, the NFL investigated him and ultimately decided
to suspend him for 10 games, and he didn't fight that investigation.
He was suspended for pretty much all of last year.
He has not played in the NFL since 2024.
Those are all facts.
I'm not really interested in playing the whole game of, like, if player X is in the NFL,
then why can't the Jets sign Justin Tucker?
Like, this guy did something worse, and we start ranking atrocities, like, I'm not interested
in playing that game.
You know what?
If you are someone who is able to compartmentalize all of this and just say, man, I'm trying
to watch football.
I don't really care what these dudes do in their personal lives.
Like that doesn't affect it.
I just want to see my favorite football team win.
All power to you.
I'm not even like, this is not meant to be a soapbox sermon situation.
Like, I just personally can't do that.
I can't.
Sports bleed into real life for me.
Like, they're one in the same, and maybe it's because my job is sports, and my livelihood
is sports, and I know so many people who work in sports, and maybe that's a whole work-life
balance conversation.
That is not a conversation for TikTok, but it's still the truth.
Like, I can't separate the humanity from sports because humanity is a part of sports.
And man, I understand how this works, right?
Like, I understand how the NFL works.
I understand how sports works.
Hell, man, I understand how life works.
I get it.
I get that the world is not just, and that businesses and teams or whatever are going
to look out for themselves, and they're going to try to make money, and they're going to
try to win games if you're in sports, but that doesn't mean that I have to like it,
and that doesn't mean that I have to want it to happen, because I don't want it to happen
this way.
I want the Jets to have a good kicker.
Obviously.
Like, I want them to win football games because of said kicker.
What I don't want is to feel cringe and shame every time that kicker is on the field.
And if you don't feel that way, that is totally fine, man.
This is not for you.
This video is not for you.
This video though is for the people out there who do feel that way, because I know there's
a lot of them, and I want you to know that you are validated for feeling that way.
Like, that is a totally justified feeling to have.
Now, it's just due diligence.
The Jets were seeking alternatives at the position, and they're just trying to gather
all the information they can, and obviously, when you're trying to win games, morality
doesn't really matter.
Morality is often a hindrance to success, and I understand that.
But as a fan, I don't want the Jets anywhere near Justin Tucker, and I hope that this is
the last time we hear his name associated with the franchise.
