BREAKING: Malick Fofana!
Sep 2, 2026
Malik Farfana. They offered him to Arsenal for around about £35 million and it looks like that
deal is not going to happen now. David Ornstein reporting this morning exclusively that Sunderland
have reached an agreement with Lyon to sign Malik Farfana, the 21-year-old winger,
giving permission to travel for a medical and complete a permanent transfer from Lyon to
Sunderland. Paperwork stage for the Belgium international and he's going to sign a five-year
contract. He will not be joining Arsenal. That is according to David Ornstein. There are other
reports as well that Arsenal were only willing to offer a loan with an option to buy for Malik
Farfana. They didn't want to pay the £35 million. Lyon wants a permanent transfer
for £35 million, not a loan and the player himself wanted to join Arsenal
but Sunderland is where he looks like he's heading.
