As you can see, there is no topic bar section menu.
There is no ticker for this video
because we're getting down to brass tacks,
which is my official All Aboard Raiders
win, loss, prediction, video, schedule, breakdown,
whatever you wanna call it.
The week 13 by is crazy.
As far as us fans go, we don't have to suffer through
like a week five bye where we're just sitting there
with nothing to do while everybody else
gets to watch their favorite teams play.
This is an interesting video because every other year
I seem to be good or bad at predicting schedules
and last year was not great.
I think I said nine and eight.
Now look, we were all sold a bill of goods
from Pete Carroll and Gina Smith thinking
this wasn't going to be a reveal.
We're gonna try to win right away.
And I even had us losing week one last year.
So I thought we were ahead of schedule after one week
and then the wheels fell off, but you guys know me.
I wanna give you guys the most,
what's the word I'm looking for?
The most detailed version, the most accurate version
of what this win, loss video is going to be,
which is why I didn't do one when the schedule was dropped,
which is why I didn't do one after the draft
or after pre-agency.
I wanted to wait till all the cards were in front of me.
I knew what hand I was playing and now we know
Kirk Cousins is going to be the starter.
Now we know Ashton Gentee got banged up a little bit,
but he is going to be back relatively quickly.
Might even play week one.
We know Max Crosby's on the roster
and we know all the rookies that are going to make an impact.
So as I get into my prediction,
you guys need to be commenting below
what your predictions are week by week.
Win, loss, bowl predictions, it's predictions week.
Tuesday, September 1st, we are so close.
We are two days away from being one week out of week one
and I couldn't be happier.
Let's get it.
Now that the pre-season is over,
I want to check on the markets and see what they're saying
about the regular season for the Las Vegas Raiders.
So if we head over to Calshi, type in Las Vegas Raiders.
Obviously we've got different probabilities
for winning or losing week one against the Dolphins.
The AFC Championship, obviously we're not in line
to really do that.
A 1% chance that the market says right now.
But what's interesting is NFL playoff qualifiers.
Now, a lot of people would say that it's a long shot
for the Raiders to make the playoffs.
But at 18%, I don't mind sprinkling a little bit on that.
If we purchase the yes contract here,
if we click Las Vegas Raiders, 18% chances right now.
And we throw $25 on that and we happen to make the playoffs.
Again, stranger things have happened.
$132.86, obviously you can take anybody
if you're confident that the Dallas Cowboys
are gonna make it and you purchase the yes contract
for 25 here, 44, 54 to make the playoffs.
And I do want to share with you that if you're interested
in checking out Calshi, you can use code ALLABOARD
to instantly get $25 when you trade 25.
Now, Calshi isn't your traditional sports book
where you're betting against the house.
It is peer-to-peer trading.
You're purchasing yes or no contracts.
And the interesting and best thing about Calshi
is that it's a variety of different topics.
You got media, movies, and TV, and politics,
and sports, and anything that you think
you know a lot about that you want to purchase
yes or no contracts on, Calshi is the place for you.
Okay, this is a big moment here.
Scroll back up to the top.
We got Dolphins at Raiders.
Now, this is where we get into the cautionary tale
of week one.
We know how misguided we can be after a week one result
across the entire National Football League.
We're a Raider channel, so we focus on the Patriots
versus the Raiders, but there were tons of other examples
throughout the years of teams losing really bad,
of teams looking really good,
and then that not being really the case.
I think it's like a team knows what they're going to be
after around a quarter of the season.
And there's a world where after this first quarter,
people might be thinking that Raiders are gonna be better
than we initially thought.
Now, if we're talking specifically about Miami right here,
okay, we have the better roster than Miami.
There is no doubt about it.
And this is a game where both fan bases
are looking at this game thinking we could win this game.
We could start the season one and know.
Who knows, who knows, who knows?
Now, I'm going to give us a win here,
but the reason why I don't feel incredible about it
is because week one is weird.
We don't know what they're gonna look like
with Malik Willis.
We're gonna have to spy him.
I just think this game is going to be closer
than some Raider fans might think initially,
and that's gonna spook some people.
And it probably should, but you have to understand
that when there's a new quarterback,
he's a mobile quarterback, they can just make things happen.
And a few balls bounce a certain way.
I could see this game being one possession
going into the fourth, which we wouldn't love.
Again, we're making predictions based on the idea
that Kirk Cousins is going to be starting in these games,
but maybe we can make an executive decision
and say this is when we're starting Mendoza,
this is when we're starting Mendoza, blah, blah, blah.
Or maybe he doesn't ever start.
Again, bold predictions are happening throughout the week.
Make sure you're commenting every single game
along with me in the comments below.
Week two.
I don't remember, correct me if I'm wrong,
I don't remember us beating the Chargers at all
when Justin Herbert played since Derek Carr has left.
The last time we beat the Chargers
when Herbert was playing,
I believe was the Josh McDaniels year,
where we beat, no, no, we didn't beat them with Josh McDaniels
we beat them with Antonio Pierce the interim year,
but that was when Easton Stick, I think,
was playing quarterback.
I think the last time we beat Justin Herbert
was maybe the first Josh McDaniels year.
Yeah, with a Devontae Anos flea flicker, that makes sense.
It's been a long time and I see that trend continuing.
This is a home game for us, but just like last year,
we start out 1-0 and then lose to the Chargers.
Division games are always tough.
Now Raiders at Saints.
I expect the Saints to be pretty good this year.
I like Tyler Shuck, I like Travis Achan,
I like Chris Olave, Jordan Tyson's injured,
their defense isn't great, 10 a.m. body clock.
This game could go either way.
Right now my gut is telling me it's a win
because by now Ashton Jante is fully back to being healthy.
We're kind of figuring out
what the Clint Kubiak offense looks like
and I think this is going to be
a ground and pound football game.
I trust our playmakers, like the X-Factor guys,
Bowers, Miller, Jante, Crosby,
more than the impact players on the Saints
and then I think everything else is about even.
I could go either way on this game.
Maybe I'm being a little optimistic,
but I'm taking us to beat the Saints
in the 10 a.m. body clock game.
Raiders hosting the Chiefs.
Similarly to how I said Ashton Jante's going to be
fully back and healthy by week three-ish,
Patrick Mahomes you would think by week four
is going to be healthy.
Now sometimes we play the Chiefs tough
and I do think this is actually going to be
a closer game than people think.
Again, maybe a one position game going into the fourth,
but I think where the Raiders
are really gonna struggle this year
unless they can really run the ball
consistently in the red zone is scoring touchdowns.
And I think you saw that with Kirk Cousins' drives
in the last preseason game.
Because we don't have that quarterback
that could maybe scramble in for a touchdown
every now and again or has the most strong arm
to be able to stretch the ball down the field,
I think we're gonna be settling for a lot of field goals,
which is how you lose to a team like Kansas City.
I don't think Kansas City's going to be back, back, back,
but I think they can have nine, 10, 11-ish wins
and I think that's where we fall here.
And look, there's no doubt about it,
this is a tough stretch of football coming up here.
So we'll take it game by game and we'll talk it through
because right now we're sitting at two and two,
each winning a game at home and a game away.
This is the gauntlet.
People are saying, you don't start Mendoza
until after this because blah, blah, blah, blah, blah.
I don't think Mendoza is getting any looks
to start right now because like I said again,
I think Kirk Cousins is gonna play better than people think.
But this Patriots-Bills-Rams schedule,
so if you can find a way to get this little stretch
one and two, I think that's an absolute win,
which would put us at three and what is that?
Three and one, two, three, four.
Three and four, because right now we are two and two.
I do think the Patriots are gonna take a micro step back,
but in the macro, maybe be a little bit better.
That's not breaking any news.
A lot of people are saying that.
They're the ultimate regression team
that's going to get better.
And I don't like this game being away again.
The 10 a.m. body clock, I don't like our chances
against the likes of A.J. Brown
and being able to contain Drake May,
so I have that as a loss.
Now, look, there are games on this schedule
that you win that you're not supposed to win.
And if you think one of these two games
are gonna go the way of that,
I think it's more likely that,
and I know this is gonna sound crazy,
that we beat the Rams rather than us beating the Bills.
And it is for one key reason.
I think our pass rush is going to be
a lot better than people think.
Not only because Max Crosby is back
and he's gonna be wreaking havoc
wanting to prove to the league the mistake that they made,
to write him off and to think he was injured and done.
I think quiddy pay is a massive upgrade
over everybody we've had alongside Max Crosby
since maybe a decent Yannick Ngakwe year.
That was what, four years ago now at this point?
I think Tonka Hemingway emerging in the interior
is going to be huge for us.
N'Kobe Dean and Kway Walker are a massive upgrade
over any linebackers we've had for the longest time.
And you're gonna have people like Jeremy Chin
and Isaiah Polin out kind of roaming to blitz
every now and again as well.
And the reason why I bring that up
is because if you have a good pass rush against Josh Allen,
he can run around it.
If you have a good pass rush against Matthew Stafford,
you see what I'm saying, he's in trouble.
And last year, with Gardiner Minshew
playing a bulk of the game,
and I think Aiden started it, then he got hurt,
then Gardiner came in.
It was like a one possession game
going into the fourth quarter, I believe.
Let's look that up.
Can we look that up?
Raiders, Rams, 2025.
It didn't end, it was,
I feel like it was a closer game than people think.
Oh wait, was this two years ago?
Did we play them last year?
Was it?
Correct me if I'm wrong, was it last year?
Oh, it was two years ago, was it the AP year?
Anyway, doesn't matter.
This is basically the same thing,
except now they have Myles Garrett, obviously.
But look at that, Gardiner Minshew do three picks.
Stafford was mucked up the whole game.
Oh yeah, this was two, this was,
yeah, yeah, this was two years ago.
But anyway, point being,
these things happen, okay?
These things happen.
Our team's better now than they were two years ago.
The Rams are obviously better too.
My point is this.
I think we fall to the bills.
I think there's a real world where, again,
these games happen throughout the season.
They're gonna be what?
Seven and a half point favorites going into Vegas.
We muck the game up, we make it dirty.
Brock Bowers has a big play.
Max Crosby, strip sack.
Maybe Matthew Stafford's a little banged up at this point.
I know it's biased, but I'm giving us a win there
to put us at three and four through the first seven weeks.
Now, this might be the time where people are tempted
to say, throw Kirk Cousins in the garbage
and let Fernando Mendoza go to work.
I don't foresee that being the case.
I think there's a chance where Kirk Cousins
plays all these games,
or Mendoza doesn't play until the last handful.
So right now at three and four,
coming off a big win against the Rams,
I don't foresee us pulling Kirk Cousins.
Maybe there's a world where we start O and three,
and they go, you know what,
let's play Mendoza against the Chiefs.
I'm not a proponent of, put him in a game
where he has the best chance to succeed.
No, it's the NFL, bro.
It's piss or get off the pot.
If you're gonna play, you're gonna play in these games
that are gonna be tough.
I got no problem throwing him out there against any team
because he's gonna look good in some aspects,
and he's gonna look bad in some aspects.
But if we continue down this road here,
Gino Smith's revenge game goes the way of the Raiders,
and then this is another tough stretch.
I need to take a drink of water.
This game's gonna be insane.
Raiders, Niners.
I think it's gonna be a lot closer than people think,
because again, similarly to the way
all the division games go,
I think this could be one of those games.
You have to assume health, right?
Although for the 49ers with the substation or whatever,
I don't know if you can assume health at this point.
I'm gonna go tentatively 49ers here.
They have the better team.
They have the more proven coaching staff.
They have the more mobile quarterback.
I would love to go the other way there, but I just can't.
Similarly with the Seahawks.
You know, again, sometimes games flip a different way.
I think these three games are not gonna go our way.
So now, from three and four, we go to four and seven.
Could the Cleveland Browns away
be where you throw Mendoza in there?
I don't think it is,
because I don't think you want
Fernando Mendoza's first start to be away.
I know I said don't be soft with him,
but you can choose whether or not he plays a home game
where the crowd is on his side immediately.
I think this could be the last draw for Kirk Cousins,
because if we lose this game, that could not go well.
I think this is a game that looks really ugly,
like a 17-13 win for the Raiders.
Not great.
It's a win, but I think that's the end of Kirk Cousins,
maybe right here or right here.
I'm predicting week 12 or week 16,
if the schedule goes the way of five and seven
through the first 13 weeks of the season,
because here's our bye.
Do we go, okay, bye week, reset,
give Mendoza one, two, three, four, five games.
I think that, to me, that's the most likely outcome,
even if this goes loss or win, doesn't matter.
Right now, we're at five and seven.
You're holding on for dear life at the playoffs,
but at the same time, you go at this point,
Fernando Mendoza's probably better than Kirk Cousins.
I do think there's a world where we could split
with either the Broncos or the Chargers or both.
I don't foresee that happening.
I think we probably go two and four in the division.
I think it's more likely that we beat the Denver Broncos
than we do the Chargers, because again,
I've seen us have way more success
against the Broncos recently, with horrible coaching,
horrible play calling, and horrible quarterback play.
Then we've had success against the Chargers.
The Titans, I'm not interested in them at all.
I think they're going to be bad again.
I'm not a Cam Ward believer.
I think he's regressing or getting worse.
The Cardinals game could be interesting,
because is this Fernando Mendoza against Jacoby Brissett,
or is this Fernando Mendoza against Carson Beck?
Who knows, who knows, but right now,
I'm gonna give that to the Raiders,
because again, I think we have more established talent.
They have some question marks that should be good
or better.
Marvin Harrison should be better.
Jeremiah Lipp should be really good,
but I'll take our chances,
especially with Fernando Mendoza now playing,
and this is the last game of the year.
I do think the Chiefs are gonna have something to play for,
and I got us all the way to eight and eight.
Now, I gave us the Rams game, obviously,
but I didn't give us the Niner game, the Seahawks game.
I have us, oh, I also flipped this.
Oh, no, yeah, I have us losing to the Broncos.
I have us losing to the Chargers game.
I have us going two and four in the division
if we lose this game to the Chiefs,
which puts us right at eight and nine.
Interesting, because I always thought in my mind
this was a five to seven win team,
but when you go down the schedule,
if this is the way things fall,
eight and nine doesn't seem out of the realm of possibility.
Now, I have us winning almost all of the easy games,
the Dolphins, the easy.
We don't know how good these teams are gonna be.
I'm saying that as someone who does not like
when people use, look at how hard their schedule is
as an excuse for why they're gonna have a bad season.
We have no idea how hard these schedules are.
It's based off of last year,
based off what you think is going to happen this year.
That doesn't mean it's actually going to happen.
So I have us winning the Dolphins game, the Saints game,
where are all the other quote-unquote easy games?
The Jets game, the Browns game,
the Titans game, and the Cardinals game.
That's probably not going to happen.
So which is one of these games that we do lose?
Assuming Fernando Mendoza plays here,
he goes one, two, three, and two.
Which one of these games do we probably lose?
Probably the Saints game.
So we start one and, we start one and five.
Get to two and five, three and five,
three and six, three and seven, three and eight.
Four and eight, four and nine, five and nine,
six and nine, seven and nine, seven and 10.
Does that feel more correct?
I think we're gonna beat the Dolphins.
I think we follow the Chargers.
Lose to the Saints.
Lose to the Chiefs, lose to the Patriots, lose to the,
do we go on a one, two, three, four, five?
Five game losing streak, but then beat the Rams?
No, we'll do the, no, no, no.
I'm gonna stick with the Rams pick.
I got this feeling in my gut
that we're gonna be able to pressure them.
It's the Saints game right here
that's a big question mark.
So let's go best case scenario here.
I think I'm gonna land on seven and 10,
but let's go best case scenario is,
you win all the easy games, like I said,
and then you probably split in your division, right?
Best case scenario, you just split with your division.
You win all the easy games.
Yeah, you lose to the Seahawks, to the Niners,
lose to the Rams, lose to the Bills,
lose to the Patriots, split, split, win, win.
Best case scenario feels like nine and eight,
but if I'm gonna go with my gut,
I'm gonna say we win this game, we lose this game.
The Saints game is the one that's really tripping me up.
Let's say we lose that game.
So we start out one and one, two, three, four, five.
Two and five, three and five, three and six,
three and seven, three and eight, four and eight,
four and nine, five and nine, six and nine,
seven and nine, eight and nine.
Go on a run there with Fernando Mendoza.
He shows a little bit of promise.
Okay, that's my official win-loss prediction take.
I'm gonna say eight and nine.
I actually think that Kirk Cousins
is gonna be a lot better than people think.
I have stood by this.
I think he's going to be able to dissect the defense
and move the ball down the field,
and I think our offense is going to impress some people.
I think Trey Tucker, like I said,
bowl prediction last year, or last video,
I think Trey Tucker could have 1,000 yards this year.
Like, pretty easily.
He had 700 last year with a subpar everything.
Quarterback play was bad.
Offensive line play, running game.
Everything was bad, play calling.
And he had 700 yards.
He's gotten better every single year.
I think our issue is going to be
putting the ball in the end zone,
because they're gonna double-brock
once we get into the red zone.
We have no go-up-and-get-it guys right now,
and they're probably gonna stack the box
and not allow us to run the football.
And if Mendoza was in the game,
he'd be able to scramble in for a couple touchdowns
that Kirk Cousins isn't gonna be able to do.
Kirk Cousins is gonna have to be perfect in the red zone,
and I don't foresee that happening,
but I do foresee him being able
to move the ball down the field
when there's a bunch of space,
and he knows exactly what the defense is giving.
My prediction for when we see Mendoza is either,
if it's going really bad, it's week four.
Like, they'll throw him right in against the Chiefs,
and then they'll just let him go through the gauntlet.
They're not gonna avoid that gauntlet,
because that's gonna be a good gauntlet for him
to really see what the NFL's like.
And it's gonna look rough for a little bit, but that's okay.
If it's going really bad, it's week four.
If things are going the way I think they're gonna go,
it's either week 14 or week 16.
So he can play the bulk of the season,
or he might play one, two, three, four, five games.
So that's my take on the whole situation.
