We took a three day, two night cruise on Halong Bay. If you want to see the activities of the first day/night, view the previous video. This is Day 2 & Day 3 on the cruise. It was well worth spending three days on the Bay. We were able to visit two magnificent caves (Hang Tien Ong and Sung Sot) with Sung Sot being the biggest in the region. It was massive. We highly recommend spending the extra night on board to explore more of Halong Bay and to relax a bit. The schedule for the one night cruise is quite hectic. We hope you enjoy the video!
NEW TO OUR CHANNEL? We are Eileen and Brown Councill. Welcome to our channel and a glimpse into our life adventure! 2020 was a year of uncertainty and change (for all of us, right?), but we overcame the challenges and decided it was time to chase our dream, to sail around the world! Did I mention that we had very NO sailing experience? Before leaving Qingdao, China, our home of 4 years, we sold almost all of our earthly possessions and started our international search to find the right sailboat that we would call "home." After 5 months of unanticipated twists and turns, we found what we were looking for, a used Leopard 44' Catamaran located in St. Lucia.
So, here begins our journey, filled with unmatched excitement and honestly, a bit of trepidation as well. We have much to learn as we travel the world on our floating home and we intend to document that journey and share it with you. We are so glad you have decided to join us, and we hope that you will find our story so compelling that it will inspire you to chase your dreams too!
As a viewer, we consider you to be part of our family and look forward to getting to know you. Don't hesitate to comment on our videos and ask questions. We will do our best to answer every correspondence! All we ask is that you have patience with us as we work really hard to improve our camera/video techniques and ability to tell a story. Hopefully, you will be as BLOWN AWAY from watching, as we are in experiencing and producing our adventures!

So day two, we slept on the boat last night, had a good night, we did some squid fishing.
Somebody caught a squid. That would be me. Yeah. I caught a squid even though everyone was making
fun saying there was no way you could catch a squid. We thought it was a joke like there was
a closed circuit tv watching and people were laughing at us but sure enough when we weren't
paying attention, there it comes. Well I was paying attention. All my great skill, my skid
skill. He's a big one, he's about that big. Squid skill, my skill squid. Anyway, it's our second day and they've
transferred us to a beautiful day boat and now we're heading to a small fishing village and we're
going to spend the day on the water. It's a bit chilly today. We've got our windbreakers on but
still beautiful. Yeah, it's water world to the max.
Heading to that cave right behind me right there and ready to do some exploration. It's finally
sunny out. Hi everybody. We're going into a cave. Yay, I'm a caveman. Hey, so here we are in this cave in
Long Bay. There are about 10 of them that are open to the public but the government's opened up
and I just want you to know this is one of my favorite places because it just fits right into my
caveman mentality. I don't think my wife's gonna refute that but yeah it's just really neat.
It's amazing that people lived here over 9,000 years ago. So one thing I just have to talk about
here. I was almost dead asleep over there on that bed and I saw my wife pull something out
and it inspired me to get up and I want to show you what it is. It is her chocolate nut mix.
So this is big dark chocolate bars crushed up by her. The roasted macadamia nuts.
So good. It's worth getting up for a nap from the chocolate. Did you just put that
heavy macadamia nuts back in your mouth sucker. So here we are at the end of our trip
in Howe Long Bay. So babe would you recommend doing a cruise in Howe Long Bay? Absolutely.
It's a great place. The beauty is just amazing and it's a lot of fun. What was the name of the
company Pelican Cruises? Pelican Cruises. They have five boats. We're not being paid by them.
This is just information that we found out and they're nice. It's not the lower end cruise.
They have great food here, comfortable cabins and it's not higher end. It's kind of right in
the middle. Yeah the weather didn't really cooperate with us very much. At least it didn't
rain but it was quite windy and overcast the whole time so we didn't get to see the full beauty of
Howe Long Bay with the water color but still was really nice and thankfully didn't rain.
Yeah so people come and go on the boat whether they're doing a two-day one-night or a three-day
two-night cruise. So you have people on different schedules. They're masters at logistics
and they have a day boat that they put you on if you're on the two-night cruise but three days
is enough. We've really seen it and we visited a lot of places via boat. They have two boats
attached to this so they can take you here, take you there and we're ready to get back to Hanoi.
Stay tuned for our next episode in Hanoi.
