After leaving Little Pipe Cay, we arrived at Cambridge Cay, one of the more popular destinations for most cruisers (too many boats); it was not one of ours and we probably would not return. There were dozens of boats and no mooring balls available so we dropped anchor and went for a hike on the island. It was a beautiful hike with great views of the ocean side.
This was our first visit to the Exuma National Park and if you drop anchor, you pay $.50/foot per night. A mooring ball is $35/night. We took the time to head over to Rocky Dundas Caves on Fowl Cay, which we were told by our friends that it was well worth the trip. The caves were super cool. We did enjoy seeing them.

NEW TO OUR CHANNEL?
We are Eileen and Brown Councill. Welcome to our channel and a glimpse into our life adventure! 2020 was a year of uncertainty and change (for all of us, right?), but we overcame the challenges and decided it was time to chase our dream, to sail around the world! Did I mention that we had very NO sailing experience? Before leaving Qingdao, China, our home of 4 years, we sold almost all of our earthly possessions and started our international search to find the right sailboat that we would call "home." After 5 months of unanticipated twists and turns, we found what we were looking for, a used Leopard 44' Catamaran located in St. Lucia.
So, here begins our journey, filled with unmatched excitement and honestly, a bit of trepidation as well. We have much to learn as we travel the world on our floating home and we intend to document that journey and share it with you. We are so glad you have decided to join us, and we hope that you will find our story so compelling that it will inspire you to chase your dreams too!
As a viewer, we consider you to be part of our family and look forward to getting to know you. Don't hesitate to comment on our videos and ask questions. We will do our best to answer every correspondence! All we ask is that you have patience with us as we work really hard to improve our camera/video techniques and ability to tell a story. Hopefully, you will be as BLOWN AWAY from watching, as we are in experiencing and producing our adventures!

We are totally bumming about having to leave this gorgeous, gorgeous
anchorage but we say that at every anchorage and we get to a better one.
So we are taking off this morning and we are headed to Cambridge Quay.
New adventures await. We've got to go. Goodbye little pipe quay.
So basically because of the swell and light winds
the jib is a little bit confused and so Jeff jerry-rigged a system where he brought the
sheet from the port side over, tied it to the cleat over here to pull the sail out further.
It's more wind behind it so it calmed the sail down considerably from earlier.
Just not enough wind and we're not going far enough to put any other sails up at this point.
So on these short little hops Jeff has been at the helm which is great.
Brown and I get to work on videos which is really helpful.
The seas are pretty calm other than a little bit of swell
and we're thankful to have a third person on board. That extra hand is amazing.
So we're coming into Cambridge Quay and there are I think 10 or 12 mooring balls
and we thought we might get one but apparently from our friends that have arrived here first
thanks to Sailing India they've told us all the mooring balls are taken so we're
gonna have to drop anchor. Hopefully we'll find a space. It's pretty crowded in here
even mega yachts so not gonna worry about the depth today.
The bridle is not set correctly. It can come off at any point. It's not set at all.
We're going hiking. We're gonna go explore this island. What's this island called?
Day Bridge. Here's Jeff hiding behind the palm tree while he changes his shoes. Oh yeah. He's
a modest man. Let's see where's the trail to where we're gonna go. Oh there it is and it's lined
with comps. Welcome everybody to the Bahamas. I'll be your tour director. Oh this is really nice.
This is easily the busiest anchorage we've been in since we've been in the Bahamas and
I think we're gonna take off and try and find a little bit more of a remote place now.
Boy the Ramars love coffee. Look at that. Coffee drinkers. Parking fee. Parking fee.
Have a good one guys. Take care. So tell me what that was. So we got a and we actually got a receipt
for the money that we paid so well done Bahamas to be very uh official. How much was it? 21.50
so 50 cents a foot and we're 43 feet about. And that's another reason when you get the Pipe K
stay at Pipe K. Okay. Don't have to pay there. It's nicer. I mean this place is paradise but
that place is even better. Yeah. And don't leave little Pipe K. Yeah. Right. Today we are headed to
what are the caves called? I don't know. Oh man I can't believe I can't remember.
More when we get there. So this is the entrance to the cave. Very nice. They put boring balls in
and you can see the entrance to the cave is right there. Cool. This is really amazing. This grotto.
This cave has stalactites and stalagmites. It's beautiful. It's deep.
What an amazing geological feature. Oh man this is this is really cool.
Well Dicey come out here. Hey guys look we found some hidden treasure. Is it Jeff? It's awesome.
Is it Arlene? Here come let me show you. Hold on let me see.
You have the power. Use it for good or for evil. So what'd you guys think about that? Oh baby that
was insane. Man we had it all to ourselves. Another boat just showed up. That was killer.
Beautiful. Absolutely beautiful. Really special. Both of them are.
