Welcome back to my channel. If you're new, welcome. I'm Priscilla and this is my cozy corner.
So today's video I'm going to be unboxing the Zodiac Love Match. This is by Carrie Ward. It
states, find your forever love with this 48 card oracle deck. This is published by Gemini Books
and I received this from Carrie and her publisher. She reached out and asked if I would like to
review this particular deck and I stated yes. So here it is. Now the day you're watching this,
it is Valentine's Day. So happy Valentine's Day to everyone. Those who are in relationships,
those who are not in relationships, whatever your situation is, happy Valentine's Day to you.
So without further ado, let's get into this stunning deck. There is a foiling as you can
see there on the Zodiac Love Match and just a little up close of the back.
Okay, so it is a two-piece box as you can see. There are thumb holes which allows for easy
to pull apart. Easy to pull apart. We have the guidebook which I'll show shortly
and we have the cards. They do sit in this little tray here. So I'll just put this over here.
So this is the guidebook. The guidebook was written by Carrie Ward. I'm not sure who the
artist is. Let's see. So the illustrator is Leah Johnson. Hopefully I pronounced that correctly.
Apologies if I didn't, but they're an illustrator from Paris. So what do we get here? We have a
table of contents. So we have an introduction on how to use the cards, star sign cards,
action cards, future cards, conclusion, and accomplishments. So there are three suits in
this particular deck. So as you can see here we have 12 star sign cards plus four archetype cards.
They're colored in orange and that's these ones here. Now I'm not sure.
It does kind of look orange on camera, but in real life they kind of look pink.
Pink red. Like a reddish pink, but on camera they do look orange. So orange.
Orange. And then we have the action cards. So we have 16 action cards. Those are blue.
So that these are these ones. Okay. And then lastly we have the future cards.
Also 16 which are in yellow. So those are the three suits for this particular deck. Now we do
have specific questions that you can ask each suit. So if you're doing a three card reading
you can pull one card from the sign cards, one card from action, one card from future. You can
also pull anyone you want. Or what you could do is you could potentially pull from only one suit
if you wish. Or you can do whatever. Honestly it's an oracle deck. You can really do whatever.
But this is just some ways of how you can use the cards. So you can do a future love life reading,
manifesting love energy reading. You can use it with tarot if you'd like. There's also
some considerations. And then it goes into the cards. So for the star cards we have this kind
of information. So it gives you ruling planet, opposite sign, mode, best matches. Then we have
love language, attracted to, offers, emotional needs, attachment style, communication, and conflict
resolution. And it seems to have that for every single star sign. So skipping forward.
We have the archetypes here. So there are four archetypal cards. So we have some information,
we have some questions, kind of like a yes no thing going on here, and whatnot. And that's
pretty much the same, more or less, for the other archetypal cards. Then we get into the action cards
where we have different information. There's some steps to take, some statements,
but more or less it is consistent throughout the suit. Okay. Then we have, okay, where do we start
the future cards? Let me just go back to the front here. Future cards starts at 76.
Okay, that's right here. Yeah. So future cards we have more is
like paragraphs of information. And we have like a key phrase here.
Okay. And then at the end we have a conclusion
and then acknowledgments and about section here at the end. So that's the guidebook. I will pull
a card afterwards and I'll just show the information so you can see how it reads.
So I'll just put this to the side for now. And let's take a look at the cards. I'm just
okay. Okay, so those were the cards. It is a collage deck. So the artwork is more of a collage
style, which I actually don't mind. I actually really like this. And I'm usually very picky
with collage decks. So I actually really like this like a lot. So I laid out all three suits.
And what I'm going to do is I'm going to shuffle each suit separately. And then I will flip over
a card from each. Now the cardstock is kind of like I don't even know how to describe this to
be honest, kind of feels a little bit cardboardy. It is like a semi matte. I don't really mind it
to be honest with you. I feel like it'll shuffle fine in terms of like overhand because that's how
I shuffle specifically. So I don't really mind it. Like it doesn't bother me at all.
Okay, so we got cancer. Let's do that. And then we'll do the action cards.
Now if you're a bridge riffle shuffler, I don't know how this kind of cardstock would hold up to
be honest with you. Okay. But if you just overhand like me, it should be fine. Unless you're like
super rough with your cards, then I don't know. I don't know. But this is like not premium cardstock.
And this deck retails in Canada for like $28.99. So you know. Okay, we got cancer,
we got manifest your life, and then the future cards. Let's see. This one seems to want to come
out. We have a power couple. Okay, so cancer, manifest your life and power couple. I'll zoom
back in so you can see better the cards. Okay, so I'm going to take a look at the
guidebook and see what it says here. So it says a cancer is on the cards for you in the future.
This person is sensitive, nurturing, moody, intuitive, and imaginative. They have a driving
personality, are powerful lovers and partners, and can seem a mass of contradictions. True,
but not needy, sensitive, but forceful kind of thing. And then we have some other information
here. But let's see in terms of manifesting your life. There are no, there are no
numbers on the cards, and they're not listed in the table of contents.
These are not in order by alphabets, so that will be a little bit annoying, I think,
when it comes to the guidebook. Now you really have to, here we go, manifest your life. You're
really searching the guidebook for it. I wish they had put that, like at least a little guide
of what page each card is on, especially if they're not going to do it in alphabetical order.
It would have been easier in that case. So manifesting your life is making your dream
a reality. You can and should bring the practice of manifesting to your relationship landscape
because it works. Everything is energy. After all, we are just made up of atoms vibrating
at different frequencies. So tune in to the frequency of what you wish for. Vibrate at that
level and your desires will come to you. So I guess you want to manifest someone who is
cancer energy, I guess. So someone who's sensitive, nurturing. I don't know if I want
someone moody though, so maybe don't manifest that, but someone intuitive and imaginative.
I guess we want to manifest those qualities. And then in regards to power couple,
power couple, power couple, where are you power couple? Yeah, they really should have added a table
of contents specifically just for the cards because this is going to be a little bit...
Okay, here we go. I found it. Power couple, an alliance as well as a romance. Okay,
so your relationship potential right now is to build a power couple dynamic.
Your individual strength is a positive magnet attracting other strong characters with whom
you can form both a romance and alliance with. So signs and traits of a positive power couple
include, and then it lists a bunch of traits, so mutual empowerment and support, personal individual
success, taking in turns to do chores, tasks without being nagged or cajoled, thriving when
working together on shared goals, not taking each other for granted, totally valuing each other's
presence, etc, etc. So in regards to this, I would say that you're trying to manifest someone with
these kind of personality traits so that you can get to a point and get a relationship that
has more of those kind of power dynamics that I just read. And I lost the page.
I lost the page.
Here we go. I found it again. Okay, that way you have more of like an equal power dynamic
and you're doing stuff for each other to better your relationship. So
yeah, this is what you want. This is how you're going to get it by manifesting.
And then once you've got it, this is what you want to strive for. So that's how you can read
these particular cards. So you can do them in this way. Of course, you can shuffle them together
and then do one whole reading. So actually, I am going to do that because I do have
some pairing options from my own collection to see what could be paired with this particular deck.
Okay, so let's shuffle all this together and to see how this would work with Tarot.
Of course, you could keep them in their suits and work with them with Tarot. Just the same,
do whatever you're comfortable with and that suits your practice specifically.
But just for this video, I'm just going to mix them up. And they're easy to color code again
because they have different colored backs. So you can easily put them back in their suits,
no problem. So let's start with these two particular decks. Now, both of these decks
are by Lelania Simone, or Simone, maybe. I'm not really sure. I'm not sure. I think it's Simone.
So we have the Tarot of the Cosmic Seed. And we have the Wise Earth Medicine Tarot.
Both of these are published by Weiser Books.
This one, I bought myself. This one, Weiser Books sent me. So yes, I thought maybe we can
see how they go together because they're both collage decks and see which one looks better,
maybe with with this. I'm not really sure, to be honest with you, because
this one's very people heavy and this one's very animal heavy.
So I'm not sure what would suit better, to be honest with you. I'll just put these on the side.
Now, of course, she does have Lelania has her own oracle deck that could be paired with these,
just so you know. But if you're looking for something that is outside of this particular
creator to pair with these decks, this could be a potential option, maybe. I don't know.
I'm looking at it for myself to see if this would be a potential option.
Maybe I'll get a little bit closer. Okay. Kind of like these, because we have the Octopus
of the Ocean. This I'm not really feeling.
I don't know. I don't know. We have two scorpions here. Interesting. We have some flowers.
We have eyes. Okay, not too bad. Not too bad. I don't know. This is this kind of pairing I'm on
the fence with. I kind of like them both together with this, though, instead of just one or the
other. But I'm not 100% sure. I'm not 100% sold, to be very honest with you. Let's do one more.
Yeah. So I don't know. I don't know. I do have some other decks that maybe
would suit better the collage. So let's take a look at those instead.
So another pairing option could be the Tarot of Mescalamons. Honestly, I feel like this would
probably go better because this has some very whimsical art. And this also has some very
whimsical art. So let's see that instead. Let me just give this a shuffle because I haven't used
this deck in a hot minute. See, I'm already digging this. I'm already digging this.
Yep, yep, yep. See, this is very interesting. Obviously, the colors are very different.
But I don't know. I'm kind of loving this together. Look at that. That's cool.
Very interesting. Very interesting. We have the wings on this page.
Poor letter. We have lips. Lips and lots of eyes. Look at that. Very interesting.
We have some fruit. Fruit. Even this looks really nice together.
We have similar symbolism. Obviously, because Libra is associated with justice.
I love the colors here. Very nice. Okay, let's do one more.
Very interesting. Yes, I really love this particular deck pairing. I think they flow
well in my opinion. The art is very whimsical in this particular deck in the Tarot of Mystical
Moments. This deck here is by Katrine Willstein and is published by U.S. Games.
I feel like these go really well together in my opinion. Okay, so then the other deck I was
thinking that could potentially pair well with this one as well is the Every Little Thing You
Do is Magic Tarot. This is by Callie Little and Maria Seal. This is published by Clarkson and
Potter. Yeah, I actually received this as a gift. Tara sent this to me for my birthday. I think like
not my last birthday, the year before that.
So like a year ago. So I was thinking maybe this could go well as well. This one has like
black and white on it, so I'm not 100% sure. Let me just give this a bit of a shuffle
and see what is going on. Okay, let me just put these back underneath.
Okay, let's see. Okay, so I don't know. I don't know. I do like the colors though. I will say that
because the colors are pretty nice. Like we have like the purple here, which is really nice. Some
of the yellow, but I don't, I don't know. Oh, we have a fox and a fox. Okay, okay.
Okay, I'm kind of liking that. I'm kind of liking that. Again, foxes.
Okay, we have some like, kind of like a path, kind of a path. We have a path and then kind of
a path. Interesting, interesting flowers. Okay, potential. This has potential. This has potential.
I do like this. I do like this. Hmm, interesting, interesting.
I'm vibing, but not as much as I was with the Tarot of Mystical Moments,
but this does have potential in my opinion. And I don't have an oracle to use with this,
so this could be an option for me. This could be an option. Interesting.
Yeah, I don't know. I don't know. I really don't. It has potential,
but sometimes I'm just like, I don't know. I kind of like this. That abundance card would
have paired really nice with this one. Interesting. I love this card. Spill the tea.
This would go really well with Tarot of Mystical Moments because it's very strange,
which is something I love. I love that.
Okay, I like the planet kind of thing happening there.
Okay, last one. Okay, this is vibing really nicely. The background is vibing nicely with
that background, but we have the ocean things happening. I think these pair nicely. Okay,
it has potential for me. You'll have to let me know in the comments below what you think
of these particular pairings. I do have one more.
So the last one that I wanted to show was the Rosebud Tarot. This is by
Amanda Stilwell and Diana Rose Harper. This is also published by Wiser Books, and they did send
me this copy to take a look at, and I do really love this deck. So I was thinking potentially
maybe this could be an option because the backs, I think the backs would vibe super well,
but we're not here to look at the backs, so we're here to look at the fronts, so I don't know.
But this one too has some like black and white things happening, so I don't know. Let's get rid
of this. I'm already not impressed, to be honest with you. Like, I love this deck,
and I have other options for this particular deck to pair with.
It's not vibing for me. It's not vibing for me. Yeah, this is a no. This is a no. I'm not,
I'm not liking this, to be honest with you. No, no, no, no, no. This is definitely a no.
Yeah, I don't even need to look anymore. This is a no as a pairing. I love this deck,
and I do have other options to pair with it, so that's fine, but I thought maybe we can
take a look at it in case someone else wanted to have it as an option. If you like it, fantastic.
Fantastic. I did not, so that's a no for me. Yeah. Okay, I thought of one more deck in my
collection that could be, could have potential. The Intuitive Night Goddess Tarot. I thought of
this. This is by Lindsay Silverman and is published by Ulysses Press. Ulysses? Ulysses
Press. Yeah, I'll just give this a shuffle because I'm going to use this in a hot minute.
Okay, I thought this could be an option,
or I thought about it very last minute that it could be an option. Let's see.
This could vibe with that. Okay, we have some hands, the flowers. Not bad, not bad, not bad.
Not bad.
This could vibe with that for sure.
Even with this, this is looking good. This could be definitely an option. I wouldn't say
that it would be, for me anyway, I wouldn't say it's like the top option. I still think
that this deck works so well with the Tarot of Mystical Moments, but this could definitely be
a secondary option or a third option if I wanted to do the, the everything you do,
every little thing you do is magic tarot.
Interesting, interesting. Okay, okay. This could actually be a secondary option actually.
I'm digging this way more than the every little thing you do is magic tarot.
Vibing. This is nice. This is definitely nice.
I don't know about this one, this card with, with these two, but like this looks cool
with these. Oh, even the, oh wow, look, these two. Wow, wow, wow, wow. With the Nine of Swords
on top of that with the death. Yes. Okay. I love this. I love this. I love this. I love the blues,
the blues. Okay. Last one. I like this. We have a lot of blue happening with some flowers,
which is nice. Okay. One more, one more, one more, one more. Oh yeah. I do like this. Actually,
this could definitely be a second option for me to pair, to pair for sure, for sure. I do,
I do really like that actually. Okay. Okay. So that was the Love Match Oracle by Kerry Ward.
This is a new release, so it came out already. It came out in, uh, at the end of January actually.
So definitely check it out if you're interested. There will be a link down below for an Amazon
link, which will be affiliate to me. Of course you can get this wherever books are sold. So if
that's the route you want to go, definitely, uh, check it out if you're interested. So yes,
uh, overall I would probably give this a 4.75 out of 5. Uh, literally the only thing that kind of
bothered me was that there's, uh, no numbers on the cards. So the, there's no table of contents
in here. I would, I think, I don't care actually that there's no numbers on the cards, doesn't
bother me. I just wish that they had put a separate table of contents just for the cards
so we can see where they are, like what page there are, uh, what page they are on. Other than that,
uh, no, everything else is good. Yep. So I would rate this a 4.75 out of 5. It hits everything
for me specifically. I think the guidebook write-ups are really interesting and really good.
There's a lot of information, but it's easy to read, uh, for me specifically. So I thought that
was good and I really like the artwork. I like that this oracle has a system and not, not a lot
of oracles have systems. Like sometimes they do, sometimes they don't. Since oracle is like so
free-flowing, you can literally do whatever you want with it. So yes, I will say that, uh,
this is the first love-related deck in my collection for oracle because I own no love decks
in my oracle collection. So this is definitely going to have a unique place in my collection
specifically. So again, a big thanks to Carrie and her publisher Gemini for sending me this
particular deck. And let me know in the comments below what you thought of this deck. Is this
something you'd pick up? I'd love to hear from you in the comments below. I do thank you so much for
watching. Don't forget to like, subscribe, do all the YouTube things, as it really helps to boost
the channel and boost the video. So again, thank you so much, and I hope everyone has a great day.
