Worker killed after South Austin home collapses

A house under construction in South Austin's Manchac neighborhood collapsed during a severe storm on Thursday, resulting in one death and one injury. Four family members were working on the structure when the roof collapsed through multiple floors. Emergency responders used specialized equipment to rescue the survivors and recover the deceased.
