Sun City firefighters roll out cold ice immersion

The Sun City District Fire Department has implemented a new ice immersion cooling program to treat severe heat stroke. Adopted from Phoenix Fire and funded by Blue Cross Blue Shield grants, this method rapidly lowers a patient's core temperature to prevent permanent neurological damage and save lives.
