AI GeneratedThe DD squad visits Pastranaland to compete in the \"Pastranaland Games,\" a series of extreme backyard events. Despite their lack of racing skill, they secure third place. The visit's highlight is a high-stakes stunt where Gap is launched from a cannon to land on a motorcycle ridden by Banksy mid-air, though a separate attempt during a severe July 4th storm ended in failure.
Yes, that's me attempting to land on the back of a motorcycle in the middle of a jump.
This is an idea that's been cooking ever since we've built the cannon.
Use it to land on a moving object beneath air.
Coincidentally, our good friend Travis Pastrana has just invited us to come to Pastranaland,
which opened a perfect opportunity.
But we'll only find out if we get that far,
because Travis also invited us to take part in Pastranaland Games,
which is Extreme Backyard Olympics,
where we'll compete in highest trampoline bounce,
two different pit bike races,
a van pre,
and the worst of all,
a downhill stool race.
Apparently, the first game is trampoline bouncing,
which is our field,
and whoever goes the highest wins.
So I think we got this one.
So in Pastranaland Games,
we will compete against three other teams in five events.
Unlucky for us,
three out of five events are racing-based,
and the other teams have some of the most skilled riders out there.
If we don't win the trampoline,
it's gonna be embarrassing.
I'm going first because I'm gonna set the bar low, baby.
Let's go!
Like expected,
and to our relief,
most of the people went fairly low,
which calmed us a bit.
I'm ******* shaking.
But then, over time,
people got more and more brave
and started to go way higher than we thought.
That was actually really good.
Everyone's pride is really pushing them.
Travis himself ended up going 36 feet high.
I don't like this.
I'm burning the trampoline.
Not only that,
but Travis's 11-year-old daughter Murph,
who also competed,
went 50 feet high.
I'm about to pass out, dude.
I'm done.
We went as last and reached pretty solid heights.
The rules luckily counted team average,
which put us in the first place.
I'm sorry, that was freaking awesome.
So right now in the lead is the DD squad.
Good job, good job.
Now we start with the real challenges,
at least for our team.
Next, we speed bike race through the woods.
As it was our first time riding this,
we asked for some advice from more experienced drivers.
If you come straight to the left side,
you can just roll over it.
You roll over this,
you go all the way around.
It didn't help much.
Next, we were told that we can mess with other riders.
They are not allowed to pull the spark plug cap off.
They are not allowed to hinder the other person's motorcycle.
Except for Max,
that by mistake crashed an opponent off the track in the training.
He tried to take him over on this side,
but Max didn't see him and kind of forced him out.
So we've collectively decided
it's the safest for everybody to go straight to the race.
It was pretty intense.
We were actually doing really well
and holding on to our place.
Well, till about the second lap
when everybody started taking us over.
And as if two laps behind wasn't enough,
when Max first sat on the bike,
he drove off the track literally the first turn.
Despite getting extra points,
it didn't help us much with the score.
Next up was Van Prix,
which is racing family vans on a dirt track.
That meant we had to put our best driver on the job.
I get trash-talked a lot for my driving,
I don't know why.
Like Italian police.
We still couldn't identify the pattern
that was supposed to be going on.
The first two people and two laps with the other two people.
Again, we did a walkthrough through the course
and got a bunch of useful calming advice.
If you hit someone over that berm, you **** them.
Don't worry about other people.
Other people are just obstacles.
If you put people over here, it is okay.
It means you're a winner.
This right here is Banksy.
He's a regular here at Pastranaland
with a bunch of crazy stunts under his belt,
as well as an X-GAME silver medal.
Later in the video, he will be the one riding the motorcycle
onto which Gaepo tried to jump.
Well, this race went about as you'd expect.
Right off the bat, we got left behind in the last place.
Where we were left for two laps,
all up until the change of the drivers.
Okay, better get ready.
What you're about to see
is the thing that secured us the third place.
After the change of drivers,
our opponents realized they were missing a tire,
which meant an easy overtake for us.
Damn, that was over quickly.
Well, that was a rush.
Well, we were not last.
We were not last.
We're third, baby!
Second before last challenge
was pit bike flat race around the workshop.
So the challenge is we're kind of racing a flat track,
basically doing circles.
It's going to be two races,
one rider from each team in each of the races,
and the best two out of each race compete in the final.
We decided on Mirzy and Max to compete.
I know that you love to crash,
please don't do it.
You can crash others,
but not yourself.
So I can crash?
Others.
Mirzy, for you, don't be too gentle.
Go fast.
Was I not fast?
You were fast.
Go faster.
Now you're trying to start the bike.
So pit bikes have a shift lever on the left side
and start lever on the right.
Max just tried to start the bike with the wrong one,
which shows just about how experienced we are.
Don't try to beat them at their own game.
Just be a liability.
Just go wide on the first turn.
Just be a problem.
My best is to go straight in this first turn,
wide shoulders, elbow everyone that way.
And if you hit them hard enough,
then the bump and run.
Sounds like a foolproof plan, right?
Upon start,
Max even managed to switch off one of the opponent's bikes,
which, by the way, is allowed.
Pit bike flat track.
Heat number one is off.
Ending this DD squad fighting the floor quickly.
But that was about it.
Max crashed the first turn,
got hit in the butt,
and didn't manage to start the bike
until the race was sadly over.
That was a good one, guy.
You did a good one.
Almost finished the race.
I said don't crash.
Don't crash.
All for the show.
You didn't make...
Well, you made one lap at the end.
No, two.
No, the race was over.
But next up was Melji,
who will surely do much better.
Well, turns out that despite a strong start,
he also crashed the first turn
and got overtaken by everyone.
Eventually, he did finish all laps,
but sadly in the last place.
It looked like we were left with our final,
but luckily rules in Pastranaland always change.
All right, we're gonna mix it up a little bit
because I think we can all agree
watching DD ride motorcycles
is the best part of this weekend.
We're gonna do another main with the B riders.
We're gonna have the final main.
It's still worth points,
but I think the B main is gonna be worth
just as many points.
So one of you guys can take them out
and the other one just goes for the race.
All right.
I'm gonna take it out.
Mostly myself.
Single lap with two out of four racers
being on our team,
Max taking them out
and Melji winning the race.
Now this one we can't possibly mess up.
Finally.
For a change,
Melji managed to take the lead
and only got taken over
in the last meters of the first lap.
But wait.
Nobody stopped after the first lap.
Everybody ended up driving two,
which resulted in us finishing
in the last two places.
So yeah, what was their chance
to fight one or two laps?
Because they voted so.
Max and the other guys.
One lap or two laps?
Let's go two.
Everyone a favorite two lap guy.
Two lap guy.
So you dug our own grave.
It was not the smartest idea.
It wasn't intentional.
Let's go two.
Silly mistakes.
All hope was not lost yet
because we still had the final race ahead of us.
Downhill Viper chair race.
It's only one of us doing the risk.
So let's do it OG.
Rock, paper, scissors.
The winner gets to ride the chair.
All right.
F**k.
Oh my god.
I'm so relieved.
Dude, I can't tell you how happy I am.
I'm not in Gap's position.
No rules.
You get one teammate down the bottom
that can help you or slow the other person.
Only one teammate.
Just one person can interfere.
Exactly, you.
It's your idea.
Okay, I can go.
Gap said he wants you, but...
It's not his decision.
We saw last year's clips of this race
and trust me, it didn't calm us down.
How was it?
That was great, actually.
Not that scary at all.
Team Influencers won, then we were second.
Okay, that's good.
Let's get in the show.
We ended up being third overall,
but we won the indoor flat track prize for the best crash.
Okay, Pastrana land games are over.
We're best at flat track,
but the journey is not over yet.
We're going for a big, big trick.
It's a whole stunt, actually.
Yeah.
The big idea is one guy joining a dirt bike rider, me there.
Ever done this?
No, why are you asking me that like I've done it?
You guys are the only people that would do it with us.
As mentioned before, this is Banksy.
The guy Gap will do the stunt with.
So the great idea is to set up the Canon and FMX ramp side by side.
If we successfully match the trajectories and timing,
we should be able to end up on the same bike
and ride out of the ramp together.
First, we're going to film the launch of the bag.
Then we're going to film Banksy.
We're going to overlap the videos,
see where the trajectories meet
and if Banksy needs to adjust
or if the Canon needs to be adjusted.
So first we did the bag launch
and then Banksy went for a practice jump.
We then overlaid the videos and analyzed.
Jump trajectories seem to overlap just fine.
So if we manage to hit the timing,
we should be able to hit Banks with the bag on the next try.
Can't wait to see that thing chasing me in the air.
You really want to do that?
My goal is to see it and push it away.
So I'll turn around and watch as it pushes.
Oh, okay.
So as long as I can touch it, we're fine.
He literally wants to get hit in his back with a dummy bag.
Tough ************.
Let's go, Banksy and the bag.
We've done a couple attempts
and with each one we got a tiny bit closer.
Ah, that was better.
Yeah, yeah, it was a lot better.
I think you were on the right spot.
Well, if we do this the whole day,
the bag just won't attach to Banksy anyways.
Now I'm getting scared.
Timing, distance, speeds, everything is pretty much tuned in.
So is there a next step?
Well, yes.
Yes, there is.
Take the Canon down, pack it up
and move it next to the right ramp with the right landing.
We can't be landing on the flat airbag
like we did until now
because landing won't really be gentle.
That's why we have to move on to a rider's landing airbag
so we can land much softer
and possibly right out of the ramp.
So we set the Canon into position
and first did a calibration test
with the bag and Banksy separately
to see where we stand.
Yeah, yeah, yeah.
Yeah, that was...
You like that?
That was the one.
First try, dude.
First try.
All right, we just loaded the dummy
and the next test,
Banksy pretty much wants to get hit with a bag in his back
and that's what we'll give it to him.
That would be painful for me.
A bit discouraging, I guess.
What happened was probably the worst case scenario.
Max released the bag just a tiny bit too early
and it landed before Banksy
which resulted in him landing right on top of it.
We went through the footage
and readjusted timing and position of the Canon
in a way we believed the bag should actually hit Banksy.
This is pretty much the final test, yeah.
If this goes well, I think it's time for Gap to go.
So Banksy should kick the bag now?
Yeah, I'm quite sure that he'll kick it.
Safety pin out!
Nice!
Ironically, that was nice.
Okay, it'll work.
Yeah!
Oh my god, that was perfect.
It's gonna work because it hit me, so that was him hitting me.
Except he can go like a spider monkey.
I think the bag should go once and I go once.
If I and the bag land on the same spot, then we can go.
I honestly agree with that
and I'm honestly thinking the one and done might be closer.
Checking if Gap and the bag land on the same spot
was the last check we had to mark before going for the real jump.
How do you feel?
I feel good.
He feels good.
He's getting launched out of a freaking Canon onto a dirt bike and he feels good.
I want to ride with Banks a lap or something
just to get the feeling of how to rev it.
Are you maybe scared that Banks is gonna do a victory lap?
If we do it, yeah, I'm scared.
What's the next thing Banks gonna do with me on the bike?
Stay stable, I'm gonna jump on you.
Which one?
Before going, Gap specifically said he doesn't want to go on a jump
but it's not like he had any word in it.
Okay, is that all you want?
Yeah, I mean, that was cool.
That's how it'll be.
That's all we needed.
Okay, that's good.
You good?
Yeah, I'm good.
That was the catchiest spot.
Let's make it work.
Yeah, yeah, yeah.
But now I'm more...
I'm not afraid of the stunt right now because it feels good.
Feels like really slow.
It's just so...
It's just really, really, really hot.
I'm barely standing because of the heat.
Probably top three times that I experienced the heat except sauna.
So let's let the news anchor explain the situation.
We're watching for some of those storms to pop up this afternoon and this evening.
Fourth of July could be the hottest on record.
The record's 100 on the dot there.
We've been doing the stunt on the 4th of July and flying out the next day.
So we had to do the stunt on this specific day.
What didn't help us was this being the hottest 4th on the record
and the storm closing in on us in a couple of hours.
The eye of the storm is coming to hit us.
That meant that we had to quickly get going.
Yeah, camera, Techa.
Yeah, yeah, Techa.
Because I don't want to do it twice.
Good luck.
Fourth of July stunt.
Fourth of July, for yourself.
Is every 4th of July in the US like this?
Uh, yeah.
All of them, yeah.
You got nothing to worry about.
They're all like this.
Everybody's doing this all over, man.
You're excited?
Of course.
Yeah, I call bullshit.
This is one of the most scared that I've seen, Gab.
But I do think they've got it.
It's all up to Max and his timing.
Let's see how it goes down.
We're off.
Safety pin out.
Oh, ****.
This is a great idea.
Oh, ----.
You guys good?
There's a bike in front of me.
So we'll have to readjust.
I go pull off.
We go another one.
We readjusted the cannon to improve our chances
and went for another try.
That was better.
With the second try actually being pretty close
and rain closing in on us.
The eye of the storm coming to hit us.
We figured we would give it one last shot.
All right, it just started raining.
We're off.
But sometimes some stuff just won't go through
and you have to be able to recognize that.
We need to have more repetitions
and in a chill environment,
not a ******* thunderstorm.
It's coming.
The wind's picking up.
We survived this one.
Now we have to survive the night.
I mean, it's 4th of July,
so might as well make the best of it.
