Well, this is Burly Wear by Burgess & Lee, and this particular trio dates from mid-30s, 1937.
In fact, there's a date stamp on the teaplate.
A nice straight-sided flared rim, plain rim with gilt teacup in very bright condition.
The glaze colour on this is just wonderful.
Full elements of the willow pattern and very nice period.
Burly Wear, willow made in England.
Factory marks on the base.
The saucer plate, again, beautifully executed.
Slightly paler blue used on this one.
They all vary to a degree.
A little bit of wear on the rim gilt around the saucer, but again, a nice period.
Burly Willow mark, Burslem, England, in nice condition.
And the side plate, absolutely gorgeous.
Octagonal indent rimmed, plain with gilt.
Again, remnants of the gilt still in place.
Lovely piece this.
There is some glaze crazing, some really fine crazing.
Just let me get close up on there.
You see this little tiny, little cracking in the glaze surface.
That's quite acceptable in Burly.
It's more marked on the rear.
Let me show you the period marks on here again with the willow.
See the crazing all across the glaze where it's occurred in storage.
And this one is beautifully date stamped 1037 there for you.
So October 1937.
The Trio is in fine condition considering its age.
Near antique.
Burly blue and white willow in this condition without damage to it.
And such a bright teacup, it's quite unusual to find.
It's increasingly hard and difficult to find at auction.
So a nice trio for a collector of Burly or a replacement piece
for a set of blue and white.
Lovely display dresser pieces as well.
