Orange County sheriff files suit against state ban on local police assisting ICE

The Orange County Sheriff and 14 other sheriffs have filed a federal lawsuit against a state ban that prohibits local police from assisting ICE agents. Governor Hoek announced the ban takes effect immediately, which also necessitates the termination of federal housing agreements by November 25th.
