AI GeneratedAshlina reacts to a compilation of Aurora's travel and tour diaries, spanning her 2019 Japan tour, her 2020 trip to Los Angeles for the Oscars, and her 2024 Dublin performance. The video highlights Aurora's emotional connection with her fans, her reflections on fame and creativity, and her genuine, eccentric personality behind the scenes.
Hey everyone, it's Ashlina. Welcome back to my channel. Happy Aurora Tuesdays. If you're new
here, I react to something from Aurora every Tuesday. Sometimes it's Temora, most of the time
it's Aurora. And today is an interesting one, actually. We are still doing the poll from Patreon,
so if you want to be a part of the polls and voting on what I do every week, it's free to
join my Patreon, so go do that. So we're doing diaries, okay? We have the Japan tour from November
2019, we have LA where she did the Oscars in February 2020, and then the What Happened to
the Earth Dublin diaries. That was from June 2024. We're doing them all in one video because they're
all really, really short, and Yin and Hans were lovely enough to combine all of these for me, so
I think this is going to be great. So let's start with the Japan tour diary, because I think that's
going to be really cool to see. All my life I've seen anime, and I've read manga, and I've kind of
just been really fascinated and a big admirer of Japanese culture.
The victim, the victim of my love. I dangle up on rooftops before I push you off.
They were beautiful, really honest, and really dedicated, really polite, but also raw, wild.
They dared to feel, and to smile, and jump, and dance, and cry, and I thought it was really beautiful.
It's the most beautiful thing you can ever see, I think, to look at people's faces when they
listen to music live. It's very special.
In the beginning of my career, I didn't really like touring. I didn't like performing, because I
thought it was a very strange and unnatural thing. I understood, after a while, why touring, why
playing for my fans is so important and so beautiful, because you realize when you get less
nervous, you can see a bigger picture, and you can change the focus from yourself over to them,
and when you see how they act, and how they look, and how they close their eyes, and feel, and cry,
it's truly beautiful, and I think I'm very lucky to be able to see people in that way.
It's so strange that my music has now taken me all the way to Tokyo, all the way to Japan.
My god, she looks so cute! I wouldn't believe that when I was a kid.
It felt like we were close, even though we're so far away, and even though they live
on the other side of the planet, we're still the same. I hope I can come back very soon.
Whoa, that was loud! Oh look, there's Phil Zero. Honestly, that's so cool. It's so true, though, like
it is such an odd experience to be on a stage singing for people, but I feel like people in
the position who are on stage and can see a crowd, and I've been in that position before,
it's a beautiful thing seeing people's faces, whether they're singing along, whether they're
looking, whether they're just in the moment, they're dancing, they're laughing,
whatever the case may be, they're having a good time, or hell, even seeing my mom in the crowd
and watching her get emotional because I'm on stage, she's ridiculous, but I love her for it
because it's such a magnificent feeling being on stage and being able to do things that you love,
like being a band or be a singer, so I can't even imagine on Aurora's level how that must feel. It
must feel like a billion times more insane than whatever I felt in a very tiny club once, so
yikes. I can't imagine it, but hopefully one day I'll be back on stage. That would be cool.
All right, let's get into the LA Oscar blogs, I guess, diaries. There's four of them,
and so these are short videos from her LA trip for the Oscars performances of Into the Unknown,
and I have seen that, so if you want to check it out, you can watch my reaction to that. I was a
little like weary about that performance just because they kind of stuck her in the back
corner, which I understand she's like a voice calling Elsa, but still, I feel like she deserved
a little bit of a bigger platform during that performance, but it's fine. She still
sounded fantastic. Okay, so this one is part one. Let's get into it. Hello, I am Aurora,
and I'm here in LA for the Oscars. We're going shopping. That was the sister from the Elsa
from Thailand. We became friends. Am I going to be famous in Norway? Yes. Say hi to Norway.
Hey, Norway. Hello. My sister. That's so cute. They are really fabulous people,
and it means a lot to me to have people in my life that knew me before I was an artist. I always
thought that Miranda, my sister, that you were a cherry blossom tree. When I see a cherry blossom
tree on tour, I think about her. I've ordered a big chocolate milk.
At first, when I was in LA, I didn't like it because it's very different
from home in a slightly scary way, an overwhelming way, but now I really,
really love it, actually. People here are very nice. I'm excited to live life because you have
to live before you write because then you have more things to write about. Of course, I live and
breathe for the music and to write. We'll go to a cat cafe, which I'm also excited about because
I'm also a cat. These are my pants because I would like to go in a suit. I'm ready. I find
the red carpet to be a very strange thing. It's very full of noise and photo devices,
but I'm ready. I'm wearing my warrior suit and my crown. Wish me luck. I love it. It's true,
though. I guess when you're not from a place like LA, and I would consider Toronto and LA to be
completely different places, but then again, they're still big cities. I can see why it's
overwhelming to people who are not from places like this. Completely understandable,
but it's amazing though because when you're doing the opposite, for example, I'm from Toronto,
but when I go to places like Scotland, I am just in heaven and I don't know why people would ever
leave that place. I can see for her loving LA for a very small time and then going back to Norway
because I would do the same. All right, let's do part two. Everyone asks me how it is to be
at the Oscars, if it's wonderful. It is, of course, but it's also very strange, which is,
I don't really care so much about it. I think it's fun. Also, I think it also makes me sad,
but of course, it's very fun also. I feel like I'm a bit of an outsider, but it's also very
exciting, of course. I'm very excited about seeing Anthony Hopkins, Quentin Tarantino.
The ceiling is very beautiful in the room. I'm excited to kind of look at the ceiling.
I love that about her. Of course, she's going to say that she wants to see the ceiling.
I kind of hate that they're using the same clips though, because I was hoping this was like a
diary of different things, but that's okay. It's more just her chatting and saying who she's
interested in seeing, and I love that she loves Quentin Tarantino. I think he's brilliant. All
right, let's do part three. It's always great when cultures are getting incorporated in movies and
stuff, and I like that about Disney that they do that, and it's very exciting to be in the one
movie that is kind of set in Norway, because there is a town called Arendelle. I have no idea.
Children, it's true. It's very fun, and it's very easy. It's very natural
for me to be the voice of the mountains, because I belong in the mountains.
That is so crazy. I had no idea that that place ... I don't know if it was based off the place
in Norway, but knowing that there's a place in Norway called Arendelle, or however she pronounced
it, I might have to take my daughter there one day, being the humongous Elsa fan that she is.
That's so cool. All right, let's do part four. Again, same clips. As many of you kind of know,
I'm taking a tiny break from touring, because I've been touring for five years now, I think.
Kind of since I was 17. That's crazy. 23, so it's about time. I'm excited to live life,
because you have to live before you write. I'm going to make an album. I want to release it as
soon as it's good enough. Eat, rave, make music, and repeat. I'm glad she did that for herself,
because I think there's a lot of bands and a lot of artists that I love that take small,
tiny breaks, but probably need something much longer, but they don't want to lose momentum.
Five years of touring, that's absolutely insane, and I'm glad she took the break that she needed,
and look, beautiful albums came out of it after, so it was a good thing. Okay, last but not least,
we are going to watch the Dublin Tour Diary. It's the diary from the first non-festival show of What
Happened to the Earth Part One, and this was on June 26, 2024, the day after my birthday,
which is amazing, so let's check it out.
Oh, I love that she does this.
I love when artists do this ----.
She is so sweet.
Hello, my Irish fans. I am currently in Dublin, writing an essay about why I love Ireland.
As you can see, I have this on my head, which feels extra nice here, because the Irish people
know how to stand up for someone who needs it, so to play here feels perfect for my heart.
And free Palestine.
I draw a heart, and they shine, make it beautiful.
All night, I am ready.
But I'm really excited.
Hi, how are you? I'm good, how are you? Good. I love your haircut.
I'm nervous for her, and I don't even know why.
Chills.
I love how they all have the warrior boots. That's so cool.
That's so nice. Oh my god, I feel like she has so much energy right before she goes on stage.
I would need pre-workout or something, Jesus. I love how she is with her fans. It's just so
incredible how nice and sweet she is to her fans, especially remembering who they are,
especially the ones who are going to multiple shows. It's just magical, and I literally cannot
wait to see her live again. I feel like it's been so long. I hate it, but it's worth the wait. It
is definitely worth the wait. Well, thank you guys for watching these diaries with me. That was fun.
I just, again, everything she does is just so honest and real, and I love watching behind
the scenes of really anything, so this is really my favorite type of content after anything musical,
so epic. All right, let's talk about my vinyl of the day because I believe sharing music is a form
of love. I got a special edition of Spiritbox's Tsunami Sea in the mail today. I ordered this as
soon as I saw that it was a limited edition because this is one of the best Spiritbox albums,
and listen, they're all amazing. I love all of them, but this one just has a special place in
my heart, and so when I saw that this was a limited edition, I just had to get it. It's
absolutely stunning. You can't really tell, but if you want to see my record opening, it will be live
hopefully tomorrow at the same time this is, so stay tuned for that, and go check out some
Spiritbox if you like some heavy metal female screaming, singing, just goddess-like vocals.
So beautiful. Thank you guys for watching. I'll see you next Tuesday.
