Inside a Modern Brick House Designed Around a Swimming Pool

Brick Architecture House
FM House is a modern residence located in Jakarta, Indonesia, designed by Sontang M. Siregar Architects.

Built around a simple idea, the house uses brick as its defining material. The result is a warm and monochromatic architecture where solid brick walls, natural light, water, and vegetation create a calm retreat within the dense urban environment.

Instead of occupying the entire site, the house is divided into separate volumes organized around a central swimming pool. Large glass openings connect the interior spaces with the water and outdoor terraces, while deep roof overhangs provide shade from Jakarta's tropical climate.
