Hoboken mayor says Grand Street traffic redesign will stay for now - despite council opposition

A conflict has emerged in Hoboken between the City Council and Mayor Emily Jabbour over a protected bike lane pilot program on Grand Street. While the Council voted to end the program early due to business and emergency vehicle concerns, the Mayor intends to continue the trial until November to gather more data on pedestrian and cyclist safety.
