Judge Orders Lauren Boebert's Son to Avoid Ex Amid Child Sexual Exploitation Case

I am going to enter this order. There are three conditions of it. You must not harass, molest, intimidate, retaliate against, or tamper with any witness to or victim of the acts you're charged with committing. You must vacate the home of the victims or witnesses, stay away from the home of the victims or witnesses, and stay away from any other location where the victims or witnesses are likely to be found. You must refrain from contacting or directly or indirectly communicating with the victims or witnesses. Those are the conditions of this protection order. Do you understand them, Mr. Boebert? Yes, Your Honor. Mr. Boebert, I think you're already scheduled to return on September 10th. Is that your understanding, Mr. Boebert? Correct, Your Honor. Well, that seems like that would work here. Would that give him enough time, Your Honor, to secure counsel? Well, I'll leave it to Mr. Boebert to answer that question. I know you have counsel on your other matters. I don't know if that counsel is intending to represent you in this particular case. Certainly, that's a discussion for you and counsel to have. Do you have any questions about that order, Mr. Boebert? Yes, Your Honor. I'm just concerned about if they came to my place of work, I'm obligated to be there, and I just don't want that to be a violation. Sure. I appreciate that concern. It comes up not infrequently because we live in small communities. What I will tell you is there's nothing prohibiting you from going to work in this particular order. If somebody comes in, thank you. If somebody comes in that is a protected party, it might make sense just to remove yourself for a short period of time, maybe have a conversation with your boss about that particular circumstance if it were to arise. I can't tell you much more about that. Hopefully, you can retain counsel or seek the assistance of counsel with those issues as well. I'm just going to write down, since he doesn't have counsel, Your Honor, I'm going to write down the next court date, 9-10-26, and I know he knows whose other case is on there, 1-30 p.m.
