Today, I'd like to share the complete restoration of "Portrait of a Boy" by an unknown artist from the late 19th century. A comprehensive restoration process was completed, and the painting is now ready for display.

The painting was removed from the stretcher, tears were repaired, canvas deformations were corrected, the painting was reinforced and stabilized, the edges were reinforced, the stretcher was repaired, the painting was stretched on the original stretcher, restoration primer was applied to the missing parts, dirt and old, darkened varnish with overpaintings (renewals not made by the artist) were removed, the lost parts of the painting were toned, and the painting was coated with a new protective layer of varnish.
