Welcome back to a new video, guys. Can you guess what country I'm in today?
So today we have another vlog where I talk to you like you are my best friend and like we're
great friends and we just have a natural conversation so that you can really understand
how native English speakers talk. I'll also be talking to my brother so you'll really have more
conversations to practice with in this video. So make sure you watch the whole video as there will
also be two shadowing segments in the video. One in the beginning and then one at the very end to
really practice your pronunciation and accent. And let me know what city I'm in in the comments.
Didn't have the camera I was looking for. I wanted to buy their ticking lessons here.
Okay well I'm in this exit and now I like the chaos but it's okay. Okay we've just looked super
refreshing. They got ice in here. It's also not night time yet. Okay so it's because it's very
slow so I want to go to the apple store. I'm going to clog my arteries. I won't but yeah tomorrow we're
going to. We are now inside the mall and we're going to go find some food to eat. Yeah what time
is it? It's just past 1 p.m and we are both pretty hungry. We went to the DJI store which is literally
right above us but unfortunately they didn't have the camera I was looking for. I wanted to buy the
DJI Osmo Pocket 4P but they didn't have it. You know now that I think about it there could be
like third-party sellers. Like you know other companies that buy to sell on their in their
stores. They might have some in stock just not the official DJI brand. Maybe because the worker
told us that there are no cameras available in all of Beijing for the one I wanted. So yeah that's
sad but we're gonna go eat something now so hopefully that'll make me happier. And now we're
walking through this beautiful walkway. You can see the sky above me. We're protected by this glass
from the element and today I do have my glasses on. I don't really like wearing glasses but I'm
also blind and I really hate wearing contact lenses. Now I just wear glasses more often but
we're trying to find the food court area so we can have our first meal in China. We haven't eaten
anything yet and we got here we arrived last night. I think you should get a pop sucker.
Sorry what was I saying? I got distracted. Oh yeah we arrived last night at midnight and we
got to our hotel at 3 a.m and we went to bed at 3 30 so we're hungry. Okay guys we have found
okay first of all what are you looking at bro? Where are these eyes going? That's what I'm
wondering. Pause. Anyway we're at a skating rink. It's actually super nice. These look like figure
skaters. I'm surprised there are so many skating rinks everywhere but yeah they're taking lessons
here. Okay well I'm still hungry so let's try to find try to find some food. Dude I genuinely feel
like lost trying to look for these restaurants because this mall is so big. I think it's multiple
malls like put together right? Yeah. Like three malls. Well it's the China World Mall for a reason.
China World Mall? Yeah I know it's it's huge. It's huge. And I can't really find the restaurants
and I'm starving. I literally it's been over 24 hours since we ate. Yeah. Because we didn't have
anything on the plane for yesterday. Oh this bakery looks super good. That looks delicious
but I'm not sure why we can't find a food court. This is kind of like a food court but
I don't want restaurants. I want like a food court you know.

Okay so right now we're going down this escalator. We are lost. That looks like a very nice cafe
though. We're lost right now so we're going down this escalator. The person in front of me is
wearing an orange shirt. I'm low-key lost, tired, delirious, hungry. So we are now at this shop
directory trying to find where the food and beverages are and here is where all the restaurants
are. But I don't know where the food court is. I guess let's keep walking. Okay we asked someone
and they gave us this guide to all the restaurants in the mall. Here you can see these are all the
restaurants but the thing is is that we don't want to eat at restaurants. We want to eat at a food
court so we're going to leave the mall and just find like a local restaurant to eat like noodles
or something or some Beijing food. Let's go down into the subway then and see what we can find
because I don't want to eat at a restaurant. I want to eat somewhere like a food court
or like a local restaurant somewhere. That was contradictory. I know. Okay guys we just left
the mall here from this exit and now we're outside. As you can see there are a lot of scooters and
bikes outside here but now we're outside and we're looking for a restaurant or actually Leon
is looking for a restaurant. Did you find anything? Yeah kind of. Found some noodles. Noodles? I like
noodles. Longzhou noodles. Let's go. I'm honestly starving so I think anything I eat will taste 10
out of 10. Busting. Delicious. Delectable. Give me 10 more. That's a meme by the way. Spectacular.
Give me 14 of them right now. Really? So Leon did a little bit of uh searching on maps and he found
a restaurant. Now we'll head there. We'll show you guys what we get. We will definitely be eating
Peking duck or Peking duck. I don't know how they say it. Peking duck. Also Beijing style hot pot
and anything else we see because I have read your comments and you did say those two things.
Peking duck and Beijing style hot pot. So we will have those and we will film them. Okay so we found
a restaurant just across the street there. Leon is just sorting out his bag there because he has
a lot of stuff and we're gonna throw out the boxes and also this pamphlet because there is a garbage
bin over there. Okay so now we're at the crosswalk and we're waiting for our turn to cross. Those
people there are crossing. This lady in front of me has a suitcase. Now she's resting her arm on the
suitcase handle. You can see there are a couple people on scooters there and there are a lot of
people on bicycles. I like how they make like an opening for the people. Oh. Oh. Oh almost got hit.
Almost got hit there. Let's keep going though. I like this. I like the chaos. Okay guys we got the
coke. These look way different than they do everywhere else. Leon got this this drink. We
just ordered our food here and we're sitting down at this table. Leon is sitting across from me.
He put his backpack on the chair beside him and he has his GoPro and phone beside his arm. These are
my glasses. Oh yeah this is the restaurant we're at. This is really good man. You should try this.
Let me try it. I just took a sip. It is really sweet but that sugar is nice.
It's actually pretty good. It's like nice and citrusy. It is pretty good. We finally got our
food after not eating anything for 24 hours. Leon got his noodles. We got these dumplings to share
and I got my noodles. That is a huge bowl. Like look at the size of this bowl compared to my hand.
It's really big. Like look at my hand. It's a big bowl but we'll try it. You can see there are some
bean sprouts here. I believe that is meat. There are also tomatoes and then a bunch of chili powder
and chili flakes. Oh yeah nice wooden chopsticks and underneath you can see the noodles. So let's
mix this up and eat it. So Leon is now mixing his noodles. He's mixing his noodles. Is this the right
way to do it? Am I going to get canceled? Look at this table. We have three large bowls of freshly
prepared Chinese noodles and every bowl looks slightly different. The noodles are wide, thick,
and wonderfully chewy. On top there are colorful vegetables, green onions, bean sprouts, tomatoes,
scrambled eggs, and small pieces of tender meat. Everything looks fresh, warm, and incredibly
inviting. Before we eat we mix all the ingredients together carefully. The bright red chili oil
spreads across the noodles while the sauce slowly covers every bite. Immediately we can smell the
garlic spices and cooked meat. The aroma is strong, rich, and slightly smoky. Even though the bowls
look extremely spicy we are excited to taste them. The first bite is surprisingly complex.
At first the noodles taste savory and a little sweet because of the tomatoes. Then the chili
creates a powerful heat that gradually builds in your mouth. The crunchy bean sprouts contrast
beautifully with the soft noodles while the meat adds a deep satisfying flavor. It is spicy, salty,
fresh, and comforting all at once. This meal is not delicate or boring. It is bold, messy,
and full of character. We just finished our food. You can see there's just one dumpling left but
we're so full but Leon will eat it so don't worry. Yeah you can see all the oil on the bottom
of our bowls here and yeah I also ordered a water because I was like really thirsty but
let's head out now to the temple of heaven. Okay so what did you think of the food, the lunch? It
was really good but it was partially because I was so hungry and partially because it was good.
For now I ate way too much of it. Yeah it was so much food like there was a lot of noodles and also
like a lot of those dumplings like it was really a lot of food but it was good and that was our
first meal here in China and I would say it's pretty good. Now we're heading to the temple of
heaven. You can see we're going down the escalators here and we're heading to the temple of heaven and
it's going to be beautiful. They say at night it's also really nice and I think we should go
tonight to see the lights and stuff so then we can contrast the temple of heaven from the day
and the night. What do you think? Yeah. Yeah we'll probably do that. Okay we are now heading down
into the subway. We just went through, there's like a security check where you have to put your
bags through an x-ray machine so we just did that real quick and now we're at the station platform.
Do you know what side we have to go to? Yong Yang. Oh no that side. So now we'll stand here.
We're still waiting here. We're standing right now behind this arrow and there are a lot of
billboards and advertisements here. Okay we just got out of the train station here.
Now you can see the wall of the temple of heaven and we'll try to get in there now. We'll buy a
ticket. We'll buy our tickets since we need tickets and yes I did just drop my glasses but
it's okay. Okay we've just purchased our tickets and now we're going to go through the gates here
to enter the temple of heaven area. That right there is the ticket counter where we purchased
our tickets and this is the gate. We're now in the temple of heaven area. We're going to go explore
this whole thing. If you guys want to see us exploring this whole thing make sure you watch
my temple of heaven video because we'll be using the good camera for that. You can see Leon is
taking out the good camera because we want to take the best footage and videos possible. I think
it could be better. So we're taking out the good camera and that will be a separate youtube video
so make sure you go watch that one after you watch this one. In this video though you will
see some views of the temple of heaven here. So that's our bus that we're going to be taking
141. A double-decker bus would be pretty nice.
Okay we just got off the bus. We are now at Wangfu Jing street. So you can see this is a
pretty popular tourist area. It reminds me of that street in Shanghai. I forget what it's called.
Also Myeongdong. This is a huge mall dude. But it just is just the beginning. It goes all the way
that way. Yeah there's a night market down there so we're gonna head that way. We were gonna go get
chaji or chagi. It's changi. We were gonna get that but we decided we want to get something
from the night market instead so we're gonna walk to the night market and see what they got cooking.
So let's go to the night market. This area is really big. All the buildings here are pretty big.
That's the drink I had today. Where? Right behind you. The ice drink. Remember? Oh this one? Yeah.
Oh yeah that is. It's the same. It's the arctic ice. Do you want to go in there?
I would drink one of those. Oh no. Oh no dude. That guy just dropped his ice cream.
It was full of full matcha ice cream. I just heard it fall. Anyway let's go in here. That's a giant
fuller bear. This looks super refreshing. They got ice in here. I think this one would be pretty good.
It's just like orange juice. Oh what's this? Apple juice? It looks good. Are these cold?
Not as cold. Oh there's pulp in there. There's some pulp in there. I think I'll get one of these.
All of these stores are super cool. In there they have like duck. All these stores are really nice
actually. I like this block of stores. It's cool. I think I could do with some iced chaji milk tea.
You know? Yeah that would be good. I'm looking for that like thin Chinese meat. Like that dried meat
that's kind of like Chinese beef jerky. They don't have that there. I kind of want to look for that.
How much you pay for talulu? So the what? Your candy. My tonghulu I paid 22. I bought this tonghulu
and I paid 22 RMB for that and there I guess it's five or from five. So maybe I just got an
expensive one but I got grape and strawberry. Where's the night market? Right here. Oh here?
Yeah sometimes they set up stalls. It's not the weekend so maybe they won't.
It's also not night time yet. Okay so I saw one of my favorite words. Actually combo of words.
Food court. Let's go inside the food court and see if they have any food for us. Let's go check out
the chocolate museum. Oh and tonghulu. Dude this is all chocolate but it looks really dusty and
gross. Someone's been scratching it. Dude literally someone's been scratching that lion and probably
tasted it. I dare you to take a bite of it. There's a camera right there. I dare you. That's actually
really cool though. I'm pretty sure this is all made of chocolate because it does smell like
chocolate. Oh my gosh and the great wall. Dude I'm surprised no one's just gone and taken a bite out
of it. Don't just watch this lesson and forget it. Get the workbook for this video on my website and

What do you got in your mouth there? What is this? Grogu. A fish? No this is grogu. Oh we are in
mini seoul land. I would get a small one. I don't know if I would get a big one though. Oh the key
chain? Grogu or goku? Grogu. Goku? Grogu. Oh these are some nice teddy bears. Yeah mini seoul land is
just filled with like cute stuff and like toys and teddy bears and things like that. Is this a
deconstructed adidas shoe? Damn these are these are hyper boosty. Look how much foam that is. It's a
lot of foam. Look at the robot running. We are in adidas right now. This mall is really big. There
are multiple floors. You can see the main floor on the bottom there. That is where people enter the
mall from. And then there are escalators going up to the very top. We just went into the dji store
there but they didn't have the camera I was looking for. So now I think we're going to go to
the apple store because my phone has been giving me trouble because it's very slow. So I want to go
to the apple store and see if I can fix it. So right now we're heading to 7-eleven because we want
to get some snacks. But look at this truck transporting a bunch of bikes and we're crossing
the crosswalk right now. So we're heading to that 7-eleven to get snacks. Hopefully we find some
unique chinese snacks there that we can eat. Okay guys this is like my favorite chocolate in the
world. This one right here. I love kinder chocolate. Give me that back. Leon got a snickers two-in-one.
Oh the limited edition oreos. What flavor is that? It's like inside out. Looks good but I'm gonna get
this I think. Okay so I got these and I'm looking for a bag of chips to get to. I'm not sure which
one. One of these. These look so good. Yo look at this. Have you ever seen cucumber flavor? What does
cucumber taste like to you? Like water. Just water. So what do those taste like? Water flavor chips.
Yo is that Ronaldo? Take a look at our dinner table here. You can see our spread. Okay Leon got
two drinks. I got this chocolate which is my favorite. Barbecue Pringles, a corn dog and this
thing. I think I'll start with this. I see this everywhere. I don't really think it's like a
Chinese thing but I just want to try it. I saw it in Vietnam. I see it everywhere. It's actually
pretty good. It's just like a gummy. I'm pretty sure it's uh from the U.S. that brand. Oh is it?
Yeah. Chupa Chups? Yeah. Sounds like it. This this looks small. We forgot to get ketchup. Hopefully
there's some meat in here but it looks pretty small. Probably just cheese. It's probably the
half and half one. Maybe. That's gonna clog my arteries. I want to sit down so bad but this is
so dirty. Dude my feet hurt so bad. I'm just shifting left to right. Let me take a side bite.
Okay. Meat? Yeah. You need ketchup though, eh? Wait. That was my corn dog. I didn't even get a Bev.
No Bev? No. You can have some of that one or you can have the rest of this one.
No that tastes terrible. It's so sweet. Now we got the Lay's and I'm gonna peel the
seal off of it. I've never seen Lay's like this. This is usually a Pringles thing, no? Yeah. Well
I think Pringles has like that. Oh my gosh dude. I haven't had this in so long. Instead of making
you shove your fingers in there they bring it out nicely for you. That's actually crazy.
That's pretty awesome. And none of them are broken. That's why Pringles was a thing because
they were tired of chips breaking so they wanted to make a container where they would not break.
Bro if you shake them they break though. Pringles. Well yeah Pringles yeah but Pringles are not like
traditional chips. They're mashed potatoes and then they're pressed into the chip shape.
So they're not like. That's every chip. No chips are normally sliced. Like Lay's they're just
sliced potatoes but these are mashed potatoes that they press into the chip shape. That's why
they're all the exact same size. And Doritos are similar but out of corn. Exactly. They're mashed.
Okay these are really good. I like these. Last but not least Kinder Chocolate.
Tear here. This is. Get out of here. This is my favorite dude. I love love these. And I know it
looks like little kid candy but trust me dude. Why didn't you get the egg instead? Because I don't
want to get a toy. I just want the chocolate. You're too big for a toy? That's the good part.
Look at that. And you don't chew it you just suck on it.
Wow. It can't be that good. So good. It cannot be that good. So good. But we out here in Beijing.
Beijing China. We're literally doing a food review here outside of 7-Eleven in Beijing.
It's like almost 8pm. This is our dinner since we ate so much for lunch. But yeah tomorrow we're
going to the Forbidden City right? Yep. Forbidden City, the National Museum, the TMS Square maybe.
We have a big big day planned tomorrow so I think we'll end the night early. It's already
dark out. We'll go rest because last night we arrived at 3am to our hotel so it was late. So
tonight we're gonna go get some rest because we have a big day tomorrow starting at 8am.
This was our first day in China and honestly we could hardly believe that we were finally here.
We had just arrived in Beijing yet everything already felt exciting and unfamiliar. As we
walked through this busy shopping street hundreds of people moved around us. Bright signs, enormous
buildings, fashionable stores and lively crowds appeared in every direction. We kept looking
around because there was always something new to notice. Some people were shopping,
others were taking photos and families were simply enjoying the evening together.
Behind us modern glass buildings stood beside traditional Chinese architecture. That contrast
made the city feel both historic and futuristic at the same time. We were amazed by how enormous,
clean and energetic everything felt. Beijing was far busier than we had imagined but it did not
feel chaotic. Instead the movement had its own rhythm. Cars passed nearby, conversations filled
air and glowing lights slowly appeared as the sun began to set. Although we were tired from traveling
our excitement was much stronger than our exhaustion. We wanted to explore every street,
taste unfamiliar food and understand more about the culture around us. This was only the beginning
of our trip but we already knew that China was going to surprise us again and again. Thank you
