A mother's love endures through countless lifetimes in the cycle of rebirth.
The Buddha once revealed the true nature of the mother-child relationship, moving listeners to deep sorrow.
The greatest pain in the world is nothing greater than separation due to birth and death.
The deepest affection between people is nothing more than a mother and child relying on each other.
We always believe that being a mother is a destiny bound by blood ties.
It is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity in this lifetime.
From the hardship of ten months of pregnancy to the joy of hearing the child's first cry at birth.
From the days when you first stammered your first words, to the constant sheltering through every step.
The mother poured the love and tenderness of her entire life into her child, regarding the child as the very essence of her existence.
The child leans on its mother's arms, regarding them as the safest haven in the world.
We cling to that warmth, attachment to that bond.
May mother and child be together for a lifetime, may the next five months be gentle and kind.
Birth, aging, sickness, death, joy, sorrow, union, and separation—throughout history, these have never been under human control.
Mother and child separated from infancy, the pain of such a bond broken is hard to undo in a lifetime.
A mother and child only stayed together for a few years before being separated by death and life.
Although mother and child are together every day, they feel like strangers to each other, constantly arguing.
There is a mother who gave everything she had, only to receive in return pain and betrayal.
We cry, we hurt, we don't understand why the bond between mother and child is the deepest and most profound
There are always so many regrets and hardships.
Why, after pouring out all the love of a lifetime, I still couldn't keep the one I cherished by my side.
We consider it the injustice of fate, the impermanence of human life.
Yet she had never known that the bond between mother and daughter in this lifetime had never been random.
It is the bond of karma that has transcended countless cycles of reincarnation.
When the Buddha was still alive, he once stayed at the Shravasti monastery known as the Grove of the Lone and Lonely.
personally instructing a mother who is heartbroken from losing her child,
Utter despair over the ultimate truth of the cycle of mother and child reincarnation.
He clearly explained the previous life and this life of that karmic connection, causing countless sentient beings to suddenly awaken.
also enabling all mothers and children in the world to clearly see the true nature of reincarnation
Cruel yet genuine, hidden behind the two words "fate and destiny."
So, what is the true nature of the mother-child bond, that makes everyone who hears it shed tears?
Let the general public continue listening to this profoundly human, deeply insightful, and incredibly moving story of Buddhist teachings, which will then become clear.
In the ancient Indian city of Ujjain, there was a woman named妙 Liên.
She was born into an ordinary family, with a gentle and kind disposition.
After getting married, she and her husband respected and lived in harmony with each other.
In the third year of their marriage, she gave birth to a boy, whom she named Bao Tong.
Bảo Đồng was born with a delicate, gentle, and adorable face.
It was the child that Diệu Liên had nearly sacrificed her life to give birth to.
It was also her weakest point and the greatest source of support in her life.
From the moment Bao Dong cried out at birth, Diệu Liên had poured all her love onto her son.
She stayed awake all night guarding the child in the cradle, afraid the baby would be cold, afraid the baby would be hot, afraid the baby would be hungry, afraid the baby would cry.
When the child was just learning to walk, she always stayed close behind every step, afraid the child might fall or bump into something.
When her child was sick, Mother Low Xiang would pray, wishing she could bear all the suffering herself instead of her child.
No matter how poor the family was, she always saved the finest food and the warmest clothes for Bao Dong.
Living in Bao Dong for five years, the child became increasingly clever and understanding.
My child clung to Diệu Liên, calling out "Mommy," knowing how to slip a small candy into Mom's mouth, knowing how to hold Mom's hand and say that they would stay by Mom's side for life.
Diệu Liên looked at her obedient child, her heart brimming with joy.
She felt that even if her life became harder, more exhausting, as long as Bao Dong was by her side, it would be enough.
But the sky brought unpredictable winds and rains, and suddenly a devastating epidemic struck, sweeping through the satellite city and causing countless common people to fall ill and perish.
Bao Dong, though still young, could not escape that fate either.
In just three short days, the once lively and adorable child lay paralyzed in bed, suffering from a persistent high fever and barely breathing.
Diệu Liên held her child, weeping, as she walked to the Tears Harbor, traversing the entire city, seeking out every renowned physician.
But all the doctors shook their heads, sighed, and were left with no further options.
Diyu Lian knelt before the Buddha, bowing so deeply that blood burst from her forehead, earnestly pleading with the Buddhas and Bodhisattvas.
I am Diệu Liên, who has spent my entire life doing good deeds and has never done anything evil.
If there is calamity, I vow to bear it in place of my child.
I only wish to keep my son alive, so he can grow up safely and peacefully.
I am willing to pay any price.
Yet no matter how much she begged, no matter how much she wished, she could not save Bao Tong's life.
On a twilight evening filled with drifting rain, Bao Dong lay in Diệu Liên's arms, slowly closing his eyes.
The small hand gently fell down, and never opened its eyes again.
At that moment, Diệu Liên's entire world collapsed.
She hugged her child's cold body, refusing to believe it was true.
She called out to her child in the wind, calling out Baodong's name over and over again.
But the child in her arms no longer responded, nor did it smile and call her "mom" anymore.
The husband looked at Diệu Liên in agonizing despair, his heart aching with unbearable sorrow.
He advised her to endure the pain and let the child rest in peace.
But Diệu Liên tightly hugged the child and refused to let go.
She couldn't accept that the house just now was still full of laughter and chatter.
In the blink of an eye, it became cold and desolate.
She simply couldn't bear the thought of spending the rest of her life without Bao Tong by her side.
She hugged Bao Tong's body and stepped out of the house.
Wandering aimlessly down the streets of the suburban city.
Walking while crying.
That cry tore at the heart, agonizingly painful, as if it would rip the soul apart.
Passersby who saw it could not help but shed tears.
But no one could persuade her.
I have heard people say that the Buddha of Compassion can alleviate all suffering and hardships.
can dispel every misunderstanding.
So she hugged her child and walked step by step toward the solitary old-age home.
I want to find the Buddha.
I want to ask the Buddha why He took away His own child.
Why must she endure such pain of losing her child?
She wants the Buddha to save her child.
She wants her Baodong to return.
From Chengxia Wei to Qishou Level Solitary Officer Post was only a few miles away.
Yet she gently walked for a full watch of time.
Her steps were heavy.
Tears blurred her eyes.
The child in her heart had been cold for a long time.
But she still held on tightly, refusing to let go.
Finally, she stood before the Buddha.
Collapse to the ground.
He wept silently, embracing Baotong's body.
Revered Buddha, I humbly beg You to have compassion and save my child.
I only have this one child.
You are my entire life.
Without a child, I can't go on living either.
I beg You, Lord, to let me live again.
I vow to be a buffalo or a horse for countless lifetimes to repay His boundless grace.
The Buddha sat upright on the lotus throne.
Appearance is serene and harmonious.
Gaze filled with sorrow.
He looked at Diệu Liên, suffering to the utmost.
He sighed softly.
With eyes full of pity.
Venerable Ananda stood nearby.
Looking at Diệu Liên's sorrowful expression.
It also ached with sorrow.
But He also understands that.
Life and death are fated.
Cause and effect, reincarnation.
All are guided by karmic force.
It's not within human power to change it.
Seeing the Buddha remain silent.
Diệu Liên cried even more bitterly.
She forcefully slammed her head down onto the ground, causing a gash that started bleeding.
Tearfully asked.
Venerable Buddha!
In the end, what did I do wrong to deserve this suffering?
My child is only five years old.
My child hasn't had a chance to see the full beauty of the world yet.
You haven't had the chance to grow up to be filial toward me.
Why must you leave me so soon?
Please let me know, Lord.
After all, why?
The Buddha spoke slowly.
A gentle voice, yet possessing the power to penetrate through endless cycles of rebirth.
The Vang family's ancestral hall is a solitary pavilion.
Diệu Liên!
Don't be too sorrowful, child.
Birth and death, separation and parting, are naturally occurring states within the cycle of reincarnation.
In this life, I am mother and Bao Dong is my daughter.
It's not a random occurrence.
It is the bond of karma that has transcended countless cycles of reincarnation.
Today, the child left me far behind.
It's not due to accidental fate either.
It is the culmination of karmic causes and effects accumulated over many lifetimes.
Do you know that you and that child have long been each other's mother countless times throughout reincarnation?
Every lifetime is attached due to love.
Bound by love.
Reincarnation never ends.
Having endured all the suffering, I now ask for the final farewell.
If you knew the truth behind it.
It will surely be heart-wrenching.
Duệ Liên was startled upon hearing that.
Forget even crying.
She gazed up at the Buddha, dazed.
With eyes full of astonishment and confusion.
Venerable Buddha!
What did you say?
Child and Bao Dong are not just mother and daughter in one lifetime.
How come in countless cycles of reincarnation, we have always been mother and child?
What's the real story behind this?
I pray that You reveal to me the cause and reason behind it.
The Buddha gently nodded with compassion.
To help Miaolian let go of attachment.
See through the suffering of samsara.
Also to give all mother and child in this world.
See clearly the true nature of fate and relationships.
He spoke slowly.
Revealing the causes and conditions of reincarnation.
Having passed through many generations between Diệu Liên and Bảo Đồng.
Every past moment harbors a deep love.
And the suffering is heart-wrenching for the listener.
The Buddha manifested the supernatural power of infinite past-life memory.
So that Miaolian could personally witness her past lives and Bao Tong's.
From time without beginning to the present.
Piece by piece, the bond between mother and child grows.
Each separation in life, each parting between the living and the dead.
Each lifetime of memory arises clearly, nothing obscuring it.
Each suffering life makes Dao Lien feel as if she herself is going through it.
The first life is the origin of resentment.
The hunter and the small gazelle.
From hatred born, a mother-and-child bond was formed.
Countless eons ago.
Diệu Liên was not the kind of loving mother she is today.
I am a hunter living in the mountains and forests.
Make hunting their means of livelihood.
He is粗鲁 and ignorant of compassion.
In order to earn a living, he frequently shoots and kills creatures in the forest.
Generate countless acts of killing.
In that lifetime, Bao Dong's previous incarnation was a small gazelle living in the mountains and forests.
Sweet and gentle.
Every day, I follow my mother gazelle grazing on grass.
Playing around in the deep forest.
Carefree, with no worries at all.
One day, the hunter, incarnated by Diào Lián, went into the forest to hunt.
Seeing the little gazelle, greed arose in him.
He drew the bow, nocked the arrow.
A arrow hit the small antelope's foot.
The gazelle cried out in terrible agony.
Blood keeps flowing endlessly.
Run as fast as you can to escape.
But the hunter still pursued without letting go.
Finally caught the little gazelle.
Bring it home.
Planning to kill in order to sell and make money.
The gazelle's mother followed behind the hunter.
Each mournful cry.
As if suffering a loud, piercing cry.
But the hunter's heart was made of iron and stone.
Not at all moved.
Finally, he still killed the young antelope.
Before dying, the young gazelle had eyes full of hatred.
Staring intently at the hunter.
It buried a deep grudge within its heart.
I swear that in my next life, I will definitely find a hunter.
To reclaim this debt.
Because of that grudge.
Later, the hunter sincerely repented.
Abandon the prime minister's head.
Accomplished a little bit of good deeds.
Accumulating a fragile portion of meritorious deeds.
Therefore, after reincarnation and rebirth.
The small gazelle carried that hatred within its heart.
Reincarnated as the son of a hunter.
Go to the side of that person.
Become the child whom that person devotes their entire life to loving.
That era.
She loves her son with utmost tenderness.
Pour everything into repaying the debt from a past life.
But the child has been frail since infancy.
Many diseases.
Again mischievous and hard to teach.
Often causes the mother great mental and physical exhaustion.
Have endured the full suffering of anxiety and worry.
Finally.
The child was frail and ill-fated in early childhood.
Causing the mother to endure the pain of losing her child.
That is the karmic retribution and grudge accumulated from a previous life.
Become the mother-child bond in this life.
Pay off debts with love.
Use suffering to bring it to an end.
Dilien saw that past moment.
Tears streamed all over my face.
She finally understood.
He has been frail and sickly since childhood.
Today, he passed away early in the morning.
It is all due to the karma one has created oneself in a previous life.
The sorrow in her life.
It turns out there are cause and effect from past lives.
The second life is deep in grace, shallow in connection.
The peasant man and the little monk.
Only a maternal uncle saved his life, yet later generations transformed it into a mother-son relationship.
Follow the stream of reincarnation further and further.
There was a gentle, humble farmer named Duy Liên, a poor peasant during the chaotic war years.
My husband passed away far away at school.
She is alone.
Not eating enough to feel full.
A homeless wanderer, with no place to call home.
Must rely on begging to survive.
The miserable days are beyond description.
At that time, the previous incarnation of Bao Tong was a little novice monk in a temple on the mountain.
Ordained as a monk from a young age.
A heart full of compassion and kindness.
Reciting scriptures and giving alms every day.
Have mercy on the suffering beings.
One day, the poor farmer was terribly hungry.
Fainted at the temple gate.
When the kind-hearted old man saw the tiny creature, his heart melted with compassion.
Even though my own portion was also very meager.
You still gave your only respected teacher to the peasant.
He took his own clothes and gave them to her to use as a trash barrier.
Thanks to this, her life was saved.
The peasant farmer wept with heartfelt gratitude to heaven and earth.
Bowing deeply to thank the young novice monk.
Deep within her heart, she silently made a vow.
I will definitely repay this life-saving kindness in my next life.
Reincarnation turns and shifts.
The peasant woman was reborn as a human once again.
The monk was small in stature due to the merit of past charitable deeds.
Also reborn as a human.
To repay the kindness of a certain teacher from long ago.
The boy, after a brief moment, was reborn as the son of a peasant farmer.
It's precisely this kind of protection in life.
Come to her side.
So that she may experience the joy of motherhood.
To enjoy the warmth of mother and child for a brief moment.
But in the end, the kindness was ultimately exhausted, and the bond faded away.
The fortunate encounter of the little novice monk has just arrived.
Left immediately.
Left Miaolian alone to endure the pain of separation.
That was indeed a blessing from a previous lifetime.
Become each other's reliance in this life.
When缘分 ends, it fades away.
Do not linger any longer.
Diyu Lián saw the past life.
My heart ached and warmed at the same time.
It's because of the promise made together.
He had once been her lifesaver.
Pain arises because such kindness was so fleeting.
Just obtained, already swiftly vanishing.
Third-generation relationships are those in which love and suffering coexist.
In times of chaos, the bond between mother and child runs deep.
Causing the cycle of samsara to never cease.
Follow it further still.
It was a time of great turmoil long ago.
Diệu Liên and her foster daughter are still mother and daughter.
That era was a time of chaos.
Continuous fighting.
The people are suffering.
Diệu Liên led her young child alone.
Fleeing in all directions.
No fixed residence.
Not eating enough to feel full.
To support her son.
Duyu Lien endured all the humiliation.
Please eat on the way.
Scavenge leftover food to get by.
Even though I myself was hungry.
She must make sure her child eats enough.
To protect the child.
She does not regret resisting the rebel forces.
Despite being covered in wounds.
Absolutely not retreat.
The child gradually grew up under the protection of its mother.
But in the midst of chaos.
A human life is as fragile as straw.
When grown up.
The son was conscripted into the army.
Once gone, never to return.
No news.
Duy Liên misses her child day and night at home.
My child, come back.
Day after day.
Year after year.
From green hair to silver hair.
Finally, she left behind an endless longing and waiting.
Before passing away.
She still clutches her child's clothes tightly.
Deeply entrenched in attachment and clinging.
Vow for the next life.
It's definitely going to be a mother-son thing again.
Never part again.
The child is lost far away at school.
Before passing away.
Also remember mother.
He also harbors very deep attachments within his heart.
To be reborn in the next life.
Again, beside mother.
Repaying the nurturing kindness of my mother.
Because of that deep-seated attachment.
The two people met again in the midst of turmoil.
Once again, it's mother and daughter.
It was none other than Miaolian and Baotong.
But the deeper the attachment, the more intense it becomes.
The greater the suffering.
In samsara.
There is no good without evil, and no evil without good.
There is suffering, and there is also the cessation of suffering.
Even though I got to be a mother and child again.
Still unable to escape the fate of parting in life and death.
One still must endure the full suffering of longing and separation.
Fourth generation.
It is the five hundredth generation of mother and child's affection.
Due to attachment.
And drift aimlessly through samsara.
No beginning.
The Buddha
Looking at Diào Lián, utterly shaken.
Then continue the instruction.
Diyu Lián
The child and that child.
It's not just about the karmic connections in these three lifetimes.
In five hundred generations.
From time without beginning to the present.
The children keep repeating over and over.
Being a mother and child.
Sometimes I become a mother to you.
It makes me.
Sometimes it acts as a mother.
Be a good child.
Every life.
All due to attachment to intimacy and affection.
Mutually binding.
Not willing to let go.
When I become a mother.
Love the child with all one's heart.
Holding tightly to the hope of mother and child being together.
Fear of separation.
When it became a mother.
He also devoted himself entirely to protecting his child.
Heart full of worries and burdens.
Attachment does not diminish.
Every life.
All the children enjoy warmth.
When mother and child rely on each other.
But each life.
They all must face birth, aging, illness, and death.
With the pain of living separation and death.
When the child was young.
I'm afraid the child is weak in constitution.
Restless and uneasy.
When the child grows up.
I'm afraid the child will go far away.
Longing turns into illness.
When the child grows old.
I'm afraid the child might pass away.
Pain to the point of despair.
This life passes, the next life comes.
The children always gather in love
and suffering.
Drifting aimlessly in attachment and entangled in worldly concerns.
Five hundred generations of mother and child love.
Five hundred generations separated by birth and death.
Five hundred generations of pain
Bleeding heart, shattered liver.
Have never truly been liberated.
Has never escaped the cycle of rebirth.
The dog thinks that
The love between mother and child in this life
It's a warm fate.
and the deepest sorrow in the world.
But I didn't know that
That fated connection, which seems so beautiful
Actually, it's a chain link.
of the Luân Hội.
Because of attachment to that love
yield to those feelings
mutually constraining entities
Unable to escape the endless cycle of rebirth
Have tasted the full extent of suffering
in six lines
That is the most shocking truth of all.
The most heartbreaking of all
of the mother-child relationship.
According to the Buddha's own words
In the gentle heart of Duyên
appearing as cyclical pasts
for five hundred generations.
Each generation of mother and child relies on one another,
Each lifetime, birth and death, separation and parting,
Each life weeps in sorrow and pain
are all clearly visible before my eyes.
She saw herself
for five hundred generations
has been a mother countless times,
Every life is for the child
But it would truly break one's heart.
Each life bears its own suffering.
Losing a child, broken heart.
She saw her child.
In every life, there was once
her weakest point
It was the greatest source of distress in her heart.
But each lifetime
None of them could keep it.
Cannot carry it along
In the end, only sorrow remains.
and endless regret.
It turns out, the pain
This is not the first time in my life.
but it's just a repetition of
Five hundred generations of reincarnation.
Love in this life
not eternal
But it's extremely tight.
of the suffering of samsara.
She embraces the cold storm within her heart,
Looking at past lives
But the Buddha appears manifestly,
Finally, couldn't hold back anymore
and burst into tears.
That cry was no longer just
the pain of losing a child
but it is despair upon seeing through samsara,
is the devastation upon learning
the true nature,
the collapse of conceptualization
for five hundred generations
She finally understood.
Love that I pour my entire life into
not salvation
But it is a restraint.
The attachment to mother-child affection that I cling to
A lifetime is not a gift bestowed.
It is the karmic force of cyclic rebirth.
This life passes, the next life comes.
Love each other,
Separated in this life, separated in the next.
This life passes, the next life comes
suffering
It repeats week after week, endlessly.
No stopping point.
That is the truth itself.
of the karmic connection between mother and child,
How merciless it is.
How heartbreaking.
Diyu Lian knelt before the Buddha,
Tears filled my face,
Voice choked with emotion.
Reverend Buddha,
I understand now, master.
The true nature of the five hundred generations of mother and child entangled in karmic connections,
the suffering of endless cycles of rebirth
It's all because of us
Getting involved in this mother-child relationship,
This love, I am deeply attached to it.
Not willing to let go
That is why they suffer endlessly.
How should the disciples do it?
can only escape from this cycle of rebirth
so that my child and I no longer have to endure suffering
To part ways like this, so painfully and forever.
The Buddha gazed with eyes of self-compassion.
Looking at sentient beings,
Then, gradually, he expounded the teachings.
Diệu Liên, my child, please listen carefully,
all favors
They are all the root of samsara.
parents and children
spouse couple belonging
All are due to harmonious causes and conditions.
When缘分 comes together, they unite.
Love, when it comes, departs.
There is no togetherness that is forever.
There is no eternal romantic bond.
Mother's love
the greatest love
around the world
It is also the love closest to compassion.
But once that love is gone
giving rise to attachment,
It will become a chain.
bound by samsara.
My child, my child,
May he always be by my side forever.
Wishing you a lifetime of peace and smooth sailing.
That attachment
causing the child to keep encountering it over and over again
in samsara,
also constantly endure the suffering of separation.
From beginningless eons until now,
There is not a single sentient being
never been our parents
have never been our children
Never been a family member
He is our closest and most trusted companion.
Just because samsara turns and revolves,
The lotus flowers are blooming,
Endless hatred and love, unbroken.
Therefore, this life passes into the next life.
Just met each other under the guise of mother and child,
Together, yet now parting ways,
Love then suffering.
The dog thinks that,
This is the first time in my life that I'm holding my child.
Love you, miss you.
Actually, in samsara,
The children have once embraced each other and then parted ways.
Countless times.
The love between a mother and her child
It's the warm air of the cold sky.
Actually, that is a thread spun by karma.
From time without beginning, grasp tightly
Tightly bound the child and it in the sea of生死
Restless and unsettled.
The Buddha looked gently.
had wilted and fallen to the ground,
Tears were almost dried up,
His eyes grew even more sorrowful.
He said,
Mother and child's bond in this world
There are only four types: repaying kindness.
Grudge, debt collection
and repay the debt.
In this life, I have poured out my heart and soul for it.
Not sparing one's life
to love and protect it
They are not arbitrary or without reason.
Mostly because of the previous life
owing it, each one
Hurt it, cover it.
This life, it has long since left you behind.
so painful for the child
Tearing apart my intestines piece by piece.
It's not because of a miserable fate
but it's a debt that has already been repaid,
The wish has come to an end.
Fate and destiny have reached their very end.
My child is paying for it.
A debt from a past life
I remember it was about to end.
A bond from a past life.
My child cannot let it go either.
Silently promising to Luân Hồi that
In my next life, I still want
Be mother and child with it,
Never part again.
Just because of that one clinging thought,
The other beings must enter reincarnation,
Once again, make mother and child share another lifetime,
endure childbirth once again
Yes, illness, loss
Hurt once again
A painful parting at death.
A lifetime of mother and child's love,
Endless suffering of samsara,
The deeper the love,
The tighter you tie,
The heavier the burden, the deeper the suffering.
Her entire body trembled gently.
as if drenched in cold water
Resonate deeply.
She finally understood.
Not that the Buddha cruelly took it away
her child
Yet fate and destiny were always so fleeting,
not a careless child
Leave her behind,
But that is cause and effect.
It has ended here.
It's not a matter of unfair fate,
But it's just that she herself clings too tightly to the past.
Do not let go, embrace and hold tightly to attachment.
Never parting, so this life
Jump into it together, no matter the other's fate.
a flaming pit, enduring together
A heart-wrenching pain that shatters the soul.
She embraced the small body.
the gradually stiffening and cooling of Bao Tong,
Gently caressing the face
the chill of your child,
This time it is no longer the cry of rice
madness, but rather a sorrow
A sorrow so profound it reaches its very peak
After having penetrated the true nature of the Luân Hội.
She whispered,
I thought I loved my child
I must keep the child close to me.
Forever, I kept thinking
Being together is the true magic.
It turns out that
the selfishness of love,
my excessive attachment
has made our lives this lifetime
In a different lifetime, one endures hardship in the Wheel of Life.
The Buddha
once again displays the ability to perceive past lives
Let the general public see clearly
Once there was a gentle Lien who was a child.
Bao Dong became a mother,
also once endured pain to the very core
That's how it is.
Venerable Ananda saw the mind as calm and serene.
It gradually began to move, then advanced forward.
Fold hands and ask
Bai Shituan, everyone in the world thinks that
A mother's love for her child is natural.
Why in the Luân Hội
How could the suffering between mother and child be so profound?
Why in all
the bonds,
The bond between mother and child is the hardest to let go of.
also easily causes sentient beings to fall into
Lun Hui One?
The Buddha slightly nodded.
Then use divine power
once again reveals to the public a fragment of the past
even more heartbreaking.
In a distant past life,
Dilien and Bao Dong
They took turns switching roles.
At that time, Bao Dong was a mother.
poor, impoverished
And Duy Lien is the young child of the lady.
That mother spent her entire life
without relying on anyone
Raising a large family alone.
She lived in a very dilapidated cave,
Eating wild greens day by day,
night and day weaving cloth,
I only wish for my child to have enough to eat and a warm face.
The child since young
fragile physique
The mother holds her child in her arms every night,
Afraid the child will get cold.
When the child goes out to play,
She stood leaning against the door, gazing out.
Afraid the child might be in danger.
When the child gets sick,
She boiled the medicine, spooned each dose for her child,
Consulting the gods for divination everywhere,
virtually traded off
his entire life.
But nature hung you,
Lay the seven-year-old child down.
On one careless occasion,
He fell into the water and died.
The mother embraces her child's body
Crying by the riverbank all night
Three days and three nights,
Crying until my eyes were bloodshot.
Crying until the heart and lungs felt shattered.
Finally, she embraced her child's body.
Go down to the river and follow it.
Before passing away,
In her heart, there remained only one thought.
My child, mother will never leave you far behind.
In the next life,
You still want to be my mother,
lifetimes upon lifetimes
To protect and care for the child.
That mother of that era,
It is Bao Tong in this life.
That child of life,
It is Diệu Liên today.
The Buddha spoke softly,
You see that,
In the debate, the role shifts.
But suffering is the same in all cases.
In this life, I am your mother,
Painful from losing my beloved child.
In a previous life, I was a child,
once again caused my mother unbearable pain.
I thought I was the only one suffering.
but not knowing that
He also once did it for the child
and the pain was so severe that she gave birth naturally along with it.
The children once did it for each other
even risking their own lives
Once they shed blood for each other,
Once, for each other, our hearts were shattered.
Therefore, this life
So deeply entangled in matters now,
Don't let go so easily.
so painful that one doesn't want to
Live on like this.
Not because the bond was too deep,
It's because we've been entangled for too long.
Not because the emotion was too sincere,
It's because attachment is too heavy.
All monks
and the people present there,
Seeing each scene of fate unfolding one by one,
Their faces were all filled with tears.
Overwhelmed with emotion, burst into tears.
How many mothers were there at that time
Thinking of the child in his arms,
But suddenly felt my heart tremble.
It turns out that the child today
I love you with all my heart,
In a previous life, they had also loved me just like this.
It turns out to be a lingering concern
Today, I'm feeling down.
In a previous life, it had also made him feel utterly desperate in the same way.
It turns out that what we call
The bond between mother and child is profound and deep.
It's merely a repayment of kindness.
Grudge, debt collection,
Pay off the debt, repeat over and over
in samsara
Duyu directly saw herself with her own eyes.
Once also a child loved by that person
risking one's life to protect,
had once made the child in front of him
so miserable that I no longer want to go on living.
She finally completely
Lower it.
She slowly loosened her arms.
No longer hugging Baodong's body tightly.
and gently put the child down onto the ground,
then turn toward the Buddha
At the end, pay homage.
Revered One, I humbly address you.
The disciple has truly awakened.
My child, I love this little one.
but that love has bound me.
It also binds the disciple himself.
Before the argument over staying together,
forever and ever, through countless lifetimes
We all cannot escape birth and death.
isolation
Before the eternal, the contest begins.
Thus, in this life and in the next, it is all repeated over and over.
The same suffering.
From now on, the disciple no longer seeks
The living creature revives, yet no longer seeks.
In the next life, we'll be together again.
I only pray for the child who has passed away.
This time, my karmic obstacles are finally eradicated.
Reborn into the pure realm,
Though suffering brings joy,
No longer entangled in complications
Mother and child again in samsara.
My child also vows to renounce oneself
Attachment and clinging,
No longer using love as a chain,
No longer binding with emotions,
Cultivate the mind with tranquility and practice diligently.
Quickly escape from the cycle of rebirth.
The Buddha smiled with compassion.
A golden aura radiated around him.
Gentle, enveloping the whole body
Gentle, serene.
Sorrow, resentment,
burdened and clinging in her heart,
like dark clouds illuminated by the sunlight
Xua tan, in the moment of guest
Become calm and peaceful
and light-hearted.
She is no longer crying.
No more chaos anymore,
Just silently looked at his child.
In her eyes at this moment was compassion.
but no longer attachment,
It is a blessing.
but no longer clinging.
The Buddha began to reveal the teaching to
the assembly. The world of people
Common misunderstandings about love.
Pham Phu's love is possessive,
It's clinging, it's fear
Loss is the eternal bridge.
That is called craving,
It is the root of samsara.
The Love of the Buddhas
It is compassion, it is perfection.
I wish the other person all the best.
is unbounded.
That is called emotional clarity.
is the door to liberation.
A lifetime as a mother's child
It is merely a temporary convergence of causes and conditions.
like people meeting on the street,
sitting together on the same boat
to cross the river. When the boat reaches the shore,
Each person left on their own.
That is merely natural.
When fate brings us together, cherish the time spent side by side.
loyally protect,
That is compassion.
When fate departs, it suddenly takes hold.
Not grasping, not holding
That is wisdom.
No need to deny maternal love,
Mother's love is a kind of emotion
The place in the world closest to Buddha-nature.
But it must transform maternal love
I wish my child to be forever bound
Be by my side, become my prayer
Sorrow forever separates from joy.
Thus, love
Not lost, but suffering
extinguished. Fate and destiny do not
vanished, but no longer becoming
束缚. At that moment,
flowers of the net falling from the sky
The fragrance spread everywhere.
Knight officer. The husband of Diệu Liên
also awakened, oriented
Pay homage to the Buddha at the end of the head.
The couple together
Make a vow to uphold precepts and cultivate virtue.
Let go of attachment to self.
No longer adding additional connections or relationships
Forever singing for generations to come.
Bảo Đồng's funeral arrangements were also taken care of.
It's stable, no longer
The screams and cries have ceased.
utter despair, heart-wrenching sorrow
Only gratitude and blessings.
The people of the capital city's outer defense zone
Witnessing everything with one's own eyes
The more so, they all understand clearly.
The true essence of maternal love is always enduring.
Not a few people from there
the section on eliminating attachment to self
with a single-minded intention toward goodness,
Suffering is always present.
The truth always returns to the mother and child.
But the Buddha revealed this to Venerable Yueh Lien.
At first glance, it seems ruthless.
but in reality
Ultimate self-compassion.
It's heartbreaking.
but it only serves to awaken people all the more.
He spoke clearly.
the essence of all relationships
In the world, it also awakens
from the one who clings attachment,
Painful, can't let go
In family affection.
First of all, mother and child in this life
Absolutely not by chance,
They are all accumulated causes and conditions.
for many generations. There is no
What kind of love is unfounded and baseless?
There is no separation at all
It's utterly senseless and baseless.
The more there is no pain
Deeply understand the heart's deepest longing
It's utterly unfounded and senseless.
There are only four kinds of mother-child relationships.
Repaying kindness, repaying hatred.
collect a debt
and repay the debt.
A child came to repay the favor.
obedient, filial piety
bringing peace of mind to one's parents for a lifetime.
A child came to take revenge.
stubborn, rebellious
causes parents great sorrow and distress.
A child came to collect the debt,
to squander one's assets
Then leave early.
A child came to repay the debt,
Caring for one's parents until the end of their lives,
Become a support for your parents.
Regardless of the type,
They are also the result of causes and effects from a previous life.
repaid by the emperor in this life.
There's nothing to blame.
There's nothing to resent.
Secondly, the deeper the love,
The heavier the burden,
Rebirth becomes increasingly difficult to escape.
A mother's love is genuine.
and the purest,
Yet it's also the easiest to turn into attachment.
The more afraid you are of losing it,
The more you seek, the more you will attain.
The more seeds you sow into the heart
In the next life, we'll be mother and child again.
A single thought clinging to attachment,
Samsara through eternity.
He thought that was intimacy.
Actually, it's really tense.
I thought that was fate.
Actually, it's constraint.
Five hundred generations of mother and child
Then there are five hundred times of parting at birth and death.
Endlessly entangled
then there will be endless pain that tears the heart apart.
The greatest suffering in samsara
not poverty
Oh, sickness,
It's love that can't be obtained.
Alright, it's definitely gone.
Gone, yet impossible to forget.
Tuesday, let go
It's not heartless,
But it is a love that is higher.
Many people mistakenly believe that
Letting go of attachment means no longer loving.
is cold and indifferent by chance.
Actually, it's completely the opposite.
Love of Pham Phu
is possession,
as well as the love of the Bodhisattva
It is complete.
Truly loving a child
It's not about forcing it to stay by one's side,
trapping it in the cycle of rebirth,
but rather wishing for its liberation,
May it be free and at ease,
May it no longer suffer
The suffering of birth and death.
When there is still a connection, cherish it.
being together
Dedicated and responsible in nurturing,
Respond with gratitude.
When fate has run its course
then neither resent nor abandon
No lingering, no attachment,
I only wish it well.
Born into a good place,
Sorrow is fleeting, joy remains.
That is truly the perfect maternal love.
Transcend samsara.
Wednesday
All intimate relationships are merely temporary gatherings.
of causality,
Impermanence is the true nature.
The world has no such thing as
Being together forever is eternal,
There is no lasting romantic connection that remains unchanged.
Parents and children
Just a meeting
due to harmonious causes and conditions,
like passing strangers
Walk the same stretch together,
In the end, there will inevitably come a time to part ways.
Old, tired,
illness, loss, joy and sorrow
dissolved, not the one
the punishment of fate
That is an inherent law of the universe.
Unable to perceive impermanence
then one will be dragged into suffering.
Having seen through impermanence
can only display precious items
when still united
and remain at peace when having to part ways.
Thursday,
Most filial and compassionate
together escape from the cycle of rebirth.
Rather than praying for the next life
Again become mother and child to continue suffering
the suffering of samsara
then in this life, let us jointly perform good deeds,
Mindfulness, studying Buddhism
Praying for each other together
eternal love
escape from samsara.
That is the most profound family bond.
It is the most eternal reunion.
A lifetime as a mother's child
Looks short-nosed
but it also relates to
Samsara, eternal cycle.
A touch of intimacy, at first glance, feels warm and cozy.
but inside, it conceals
infinite suffering.
May all those people
Being a parent, being a child
They can all see through it.
The true nature of fate and缘分
Treasure the present connection.
Cast off the mind of cyclic existence,
Holding the heart of compassion
yet not making vows for future lives,
I only wish for us to be liberated.
to be concise
That is truly the deepest love,
Most sincere, most fulfilling
for each other
