One of my all-time favorite day hikes is the Mist Trail in Yosemite National Park — and in early summer, it’s absolutely unreal.
We start on the valley floor and climb past Vernal Falls and Nevada Falls, feeling the mist, hearing the thunder, and taking in some of the most iconic scenery in California.
Along the way we'll learn about:
• preparedness & the 10 essentials
• Leave No Trace principles
• a gentler return to the Valley floor via the John Muir Trail
This trail has been used for thousands of years and delivers awe from start to finish.
🥾 Hike info:
• ~7 miles round trip
• ~2,000 ft elevation gain
• Best time: late spring–early summer
