Baby Seal’s Head Nearly Cut Off By Rope

While patrolling Pelican Point, the rescue team found a baby seal gravely injured by a rope entanglement. The rope had cut deeply into the seal's flesh, causing severe wounds and immense pain. The damage was clearly visible, but there is hope that the saltwater may aid in the seal's recovery from this devastating ordeal. We will keep an eye out for him to monitor his recovery. We will recognise him easily until the wound and scar have fully healed up.
