This will define everything for the upcoming
Rockets season because the full schedule just dropped for the entire NBA and we'll dive into all of that
Here for the Houston Rockets
Welcome in everyone
I am your host one off Manji the official schedules for each team and the NBA has dropped and will dissect it all here
For the Houston Rockets what their schedule is gonna look like to start the season
what it's gonna look like with all the back-to-backs that are gonna be happening this year and what that situation looks like and
Some spots that are a little bit favorable to the Houston Rockets for this upcoming season as I've mentioned in the past videos
The wind total right now set for 47 and a half for this Houston Rockets team
And now we can get a little bit more clarity
If there are able to clear that and get 48 plus wins for the upcoming NBA
Season glad to be back with you guys and we inch ever so closer to the NBA season because now the official
Schedule is out talk about the national televised games and all that here on this video for the Rockets
Channel, but before we do get into all of that again on the March for
9,000 subscribers for this Rockets channel, and I cannot get there without the help of you fine people
So if you haven't already do us a favor hit that subscribe button on this
Channel and hit that like button on this video as well right now. We're at eight thousand eight hundred and sixty-eight subscribers on
This Rockets digest media channel
And if you hit that subscribe button for us
we can make our March over to nine thousand about a hundred and thirty two away from that and as I mentioned my long-term goal is
getting to
10,000 by the time the NBA season starts. So again right now we are at
10,000 sorry eight thousand eight hundred and sixty-eight for the up coming
Season, but let's dive into it. As I mentioned the full schedule would drop in for the Houston Rockets
we'll talk about some of the
Some of the spots there in the video are sorry on the schedule in this video
I should say but let me pull up the full
Schedule here for you guys as you can see the Rockets schedule here where the first game will be opening night on
October 21st, which will be against the in-state rival the Dallas
Mavericks led by Cooper flag Kyrie Irving
Future rocket Kyrie Irving. No, I just tease and I hope for that but no. Yeah, look the schedule
We start off the first two games against Western Conference opponents
Especially in-state opponents as I mentioned in a past video that we did that we do have the San Antonio Spurs
I will be playing at the Moody Center out there in Austin. So it'll be a road game
For both teams in fact a little home-and-home for Kevin Duran as I've mentioned playing his ball at the University of
Texas but let's break down the schedule here and we'll get into all of that fun stuff and see what that looks like for this
Rockets team for the upcoming season. So as I mentioned
Opening game is gonna be against Dallas
for the upcoming year followed by San Antonio and then we do have
14
games on the
Sorry 14 back-to-back situations this season for the Houston Rockets and for those are going to be at home
For the upcoming year so for home at home
I should say so back-to-back situation in their front
Front leg of the back-to-back and then the second leg of the back-to-back both games being at home for the Houston Rockets
I think the NBA has tried to do what they can as far as
You know spacing out those
Spacing out the back-to-back situations for these teams and and try to integrate more
Rest in between games and things like that, but I think those home and homes aren't too bad again, right?
Because you're not number one. You're not traveling
You don't have to go sleep in a hotel. You can go sleep in your own beds
And I think that's I mean psychologically for us as fans
That might not seem like a lot, but I think it's a huge thing for these players
Especially, you know not having to travel having to check into the hotels and all that
Stuff that goes wrong with traveling and and playing their hoops, you know on
On the road. They're in those back-to-back situation. I think fatigue is a huge factor as well
Another note as I mentioned last season the Rockets did have and let me pull the schedule back up
Here as we talk about it. So the Rockets last year
did have
27
Nationally televised games right this upcoming season
That's going to be I think down to 21 right last year was a hype
With Kevin Durant being here with the Houston Rockets the first four-letter network game for the Rockets. It's actually gonna be on
November 11th against the hated Golden State Warriors and Steph Curry and Draymond green and
Think I don't know if Butler's gonna be ready to go at that point or not
But nonetheless, we do have some prime time
Sorry prime video games on Amazon again
as I mentioned against the Spurs that first game on the road in Austin and then the next one's not till November 20th of
November again against Nicola Jokic and the
Denver Nuggets, but we take a look at this first part of the schedule, right?
I mean, it's I don't say it's daunting
But there are some opponents that you know, obviously made the playoffs last season, right?
I mean Atlanta is gonna be a team
That I think is gonna make some noise in that Eastern Conference this year with a roster turnover that they have had there
Within the first about ten days. We played Dallas twice
And then we have the the first back-to-back situation is going to be Friday and Saturday
It's a road and road where we again going from Austin to Atlanta
And then we have another one on October 30th and October 31st on Halloween
where we go to Dallas on that Friday and then again, we all know as
Residents of Texas or familiar with the end of a map that Dallas to Oklahoma
City not that big of a gap or Dallas back to Houston. I should say
Not that big of a trip there. So that's Saturday
We will face OKC at home and then we have the Boston Celtics at home in the Minnesota Timberwolves at home
So that's a little bit of a trough tough stretch there get a couple days off go to Phoenix and then we have Denver
We have Golden State and then we have the Utah Jazz at home before we hit the road
from November 15th through the note through November 20th to the East Coast
Against the Wizards the heat the Pacers and then finishing it off in Denver before we come back home and play the Clippers
And the Sun so that's about the first man 15 to 20 games there
For the Houston Rockets and the next back-to-back
comes on December 13th and December 14th
We play the Bulls and the New York Knicks in that span and there are
And we do have a nationally or a national televised game
on Tuesday December 20. Sorry. Yeah, it's summer 29th against the Lakers in LA and then we're also
gonna be playing on MLK Day against the
Memphis Grizzlies
In Memphis on Monday, January 18, I think that's the late-night game or the last game of the night there
I think that's 630 local time here. And then again as we head towards the end of the schedule
I think this is where the really stands out to me is because I think this is gonna be the difference between the
Seating for the Houston Rockets, right because you take a look
I let me make this bigger for you guys so if you can see it, right we take a look at the final
five games of the regular season there
For the five are gonna be at home which is against Memphis Chicago
Sacramento Portland and then we finish the season in, Minnesota
So three of our final seven opponents are against Portland and we know about poorly, right?
Portland is trying to really revamp the roster of you get Dane bag
We have John Moran there as well true holiday as of right now is still on that roster
But I mean those are gonna be a tough games there
But those the teams that aren't expected not to do well this year
Chicago Sacramento
Memphis and I don't know if that game on Sunday is gonna be meaningless for the Rockets against the Minnesota Timberwolves
But I think at that point hopefully seating in and all of that is already determined for this rocket team where it's not a meaningful
game
Another note that I did notice on our schedule for the upcoming season is that we only played the Thunder three times this year
Two of those three games are actually going to be in Houston
For the Rockets so a little bit of a favorable schedule spot there
Where they play Oklahoma City three times this season and only once we'll have to travel to OKC and play in OKC
Which is again gonna be a national televised game on January 13th in OKC on the four little four letter network
So, I mean, that's the that's the gist of the schedule right now before we dive too much into it
Again as I mentioned a lot of spots here for the Houston Rockets where there are some favorable scheduling breaks
Happening and then also
As I mentioned with the national televised game the back-to-back situations there as well
And the final a couple of games there for the Houston Rockets that are gonna be in a favorable spot
for this team and again as I mentioned in the last video that the
Startup the start time the tip time for the Rockets now gonna be from going from 7 o'clock to 730
So I'm excited for it, man
I mean, we'll talk more in-depth about the schedule
But I just want to get this out to you guys the big points that are there for this Rockets team
The 21 national televised games of 14 games back-to-back situations and who we're playing
No
Three times this year versus four times and some of the road trips that the Rockets do have this upcoming season
I think the longest road trip as well. I'll add this to end it here. It's gonna be a five game road trip from
Monday January 18th all the way the Tuesday the 26th against the Memphis Grizzlies
The Minnesota Timberwolves the Charlotte Hornets the Orlando Magic and against the San Antonio Spurs before we do return back home again
So let me know what you guys think about these schedule. Are you excited? Are you a little nervous about anything?
It's a tough schedule
And what's it gonna be right because again?
we talked a lot about Fred van Vliet's health in the past and how he's gonna get me ready for this season for the
Houston Rockets and what all that means for this team and and especially at the beginning of the season where there are some tougher
Opponents as I mentioned teams like the Spurs the Atlanta Hawks who I think are gonna be good this year
You know, you have OKC in their Memphis. I'm sorry
I'm in the sodas in there not Memphis the Phoenix Suns the Denver Nuggets at Golden State Warriors in there as well
So let me know in the comments how you guys feel about the schedule
About the change as well
If you do think that this rocket team is gonna get to 50 wins as I project
But I should be exciting and we'll dive a little bit more into the schedule
and things that are gonna be happening with this Rockets team and we'll get more into the you know,
Breakout players and what the rotations and all that it's gonna look like as we approach training camp
For the Houston Rockets till then enjoy your weekend. I'll talk to you guys very soon. Take care
