Can You REALLY Make Money With the xTool Apparel Printer Plus?

The xTool Apparel Printer Plus is here, but this upgrade isn’t really about better-looking prints. It’s about something that matters a whole lot more if you’re running a business: reliability.
We learned that lesson the hard way.
In the middle of craft show season, we accepted a rush order for a batch of shirts and thought we could knock them out in no time. Instead, low humidity caused print problems, clogged heads, wasted ink, wasted film, and an entire weekend of troubleshooting.
Then we learned another painful DTF lesson: let the printer sit too long and you may have a whole different mess waiting for you when you come back.
So when xTool told us what they changed with the new xTool Apparel Printer Plus, they had our attention.
In this video, we look at the three AP Plus upgrades that directly address some of our biggest frustrations with DTF printing:
• Automatic Humidity Control – Dual humidity sensors and a built-in humidifier automatically maintain an internal humidity level of approximately 45%–65%.
• Advanced Wet Capping + Upgraded Ink Dampers – Designed to keep the printhead moist for more than 30 days. According to xTool, during 10 days of standby this can reduce moisturizing fluid consumption by up to 75% and ink consumption by approximately 80%.
• 24/7 SmartCycle Maintenance – Automatically manages wet capping, white ink circulation, printhead cleaning, moisturizing fluid replenishment, humidity monitoring, and more.
You can also monitor the printer through the xTool app and receive real-time information about ink levels, maintenance status, and printer issues.
And if you already own the original xTool Apparel Printer, there’s good news: xTool is offering existing owners a free upgrade kit that brings several of these improvements to the original machine.
We also break down what DTF printing actually is and how it compares with screen printing, DTG, and sublimation.
For us, the AP Plus story isn’t about dramatically changing what comes OUT of the printer. It’s about making the machine more stable, easier to maintain, and more dependable when you need it to make money.
