They express optimism regarding the team's organization, the quality of the defense, and a perceived positive shift in the locker room culture under new coaching and front-office leadership.
You know, it's kind of funny Brady.
I think he's either going to be a Grand Slam or I think he's
going to be a bust.
I don't know where I am yet with him.
What do you make of him?
And what do you what do you think he goes here with the
Raiders?
I didn't necessarily know what to think either Dan but after
watching that first preseason game the other night.
I was really impressed.
I didn't realize he was so darn big like 6 foot 4 and 230 or
something like that.
He doesn't look like that, but you know that allows him he's
he's a little bit mobile and with that size, you don't expect
him to get too banged up.
We know he's a pocket passer, but I love the fact that he
has that size and a little bit of mobility great arm.
I you know, there was one throw.
I want to say it was about 12 yards downfield where he totally
threaded the needle.
It was a professional football pass.
It was excellent cousins look fantastic and and I'm rooting
as a guy that wants the Raiders to succeed and and have it be
good for Las Vegas and our community and the fans and what
have you and this project that we've taken on here with an
NFL team.
I want it to succeed.
I want Kirk cousins to basically play the entire year, you know,
maybe he goes 14 games, whatever it is, but let's let's groom
Mendoza.
Let's let him hold that clipboard and give him a little
action here and there in garbage time and you know, do the
Aaron Rodgers routine or whoever it is that was able to have
the luxury of learning under a great for a year or two before
they became, you know before they took over that just doesn't
happen all that often in the NFL anymore.
And I'm hoping it works out for the Raiders cousins.
I thought looked great Mendoza.
I thought looked great the defense.
You didn't have a lot of starters play that much in that
game and they were pretty much eating up the Cardinals offense
looks pretty good.
By the way, Jeremiah love no joke, but one thing that I really
saw in those first couple of series for cousins and Mendoza,
they look sharp.
Like you said control of the offense.
It was really refreshing for me Dan to see that the Raiders
looked organized.
It looked like they had a plan.
They had a commitment.
It looks like maybe the culture is finally shifting in that
locker room and they've been working on it for a few years.
And now you're getting the talent not only on the field,
but I think in on the sidelines as well with Kubiak and Mike
McCoy and some people in the front office.
Maybe the worm is finally starting to turn and gosh, I
hope it is because it would be fantastic for you know, the
entertainment capital of the world.
Why not have a great football team in the Las Vegas Raiders
as well.
Oh, no doubt.
I think the other addition to the Raiders was Tyler Lindelof
bomb being put in there too because you saw the offensive
line and maybe Ashton Gentry takes off because he had a
couple good runs in there.
You get a good running game going that's going to help
Mendoza.
