Jackfruit is treasure all the way through ~

Today I went to Brother Liu’s house to pick jackfruit. I didn’t expect so many on the tree to be ripe already. As soon as I walked closer, waves of fragrance came over me—it was so tempting. This jackfruit was wonderfully crisp and sweet, and even the strands inside were so fragrant. Once we opened it up, we ended up with two big basins full, which felt so satisfying to see. We saved some in the fridge, and the next day we had it together with pepper chicken. The chicken was numbing and spicy, while the jackfruit was sweet, crisp, and refreshing—one bite after another, and it just kept getting better.
