Hello everyone! 🇮🇹

We spent a long summer weekend in Rome, staying in beautiful Trastevere and enjoying the city the slow way: walking everywhere, embracing the summer heat, eating plenty of amazing food, and taking our time to enjoy the Italian vibes. ☀️

Since we've visited Rome several times before, this trip wasn't about rushing from one sight to another. Our main goal was simple: explore some of the best food and traditional trattorias in the city.

Over four days, we eat our way through Rome, trying classic Roman dishes like amatriciana, cacio e pepe and carbonara, hunting down great tiramisu and gelato, and, of course, having our daily maritozzo. 🍝🍰🍦☕️

We still made time for some of Rome's iconic sights, including the Vatican Museums, Castel Sant'Angelo, the Colosseum and the Trevi Fountain, but this trip was really about slowing down, wandering through the streets, discovering places we hadn't seen before, and enjoying Rome without rushing.
