Setting sail in our classic wooden boat, we cross nearly the entire breadth of Fiji to cruise in the Yasawa Islands. Leaving the lush forested island of Makogai, we sail the famous Bligh Waters to the drier leeward side of the Island group. In the Yasawa and Mamanuka islands we find friendly villages and spectacular coral reefs.
With the seasons changing, we start to think about another big ocean passage, looking to find safer latitudes to ride out the hurricane season.
Julia is a traditional wooden boat, built of cedar and fir on oak frames. She was built in 1960 to the Ingrid design by William Atkin. Her tender is built skin-on-frame to the Annabelle design by Dave Gentry.
