Halifax gets federal funding for cooling measures

The federal government is providing $34 million to various municipalities, including approximately $780,000 for Halifax to install cooling stations in over a dozen public parks. These stations, featuring drinking fountains and shade, aim to improve public accessibility to water and heat relief, with a rollout expected over the next three years.
